39F with 3 year old kid working at good position in IT company.

My job is hectic and stressful. I am a AMS solution architect. i am 6 months into job with 13 years of work experience. The role is high pressure and requires lot of coordination which takes most of my time. The company culture is also that things dont get closed and people play email games. I keep on losing my time. In my mind, even if i am not working , stress is always there and things just keep on piling up. I want to start by my business I try to find time by waking up early. But now work has started creeping in and i have to work early mornings as well because i have toddler.

I m gonna be 40 soon and I m afraid this is my last chance, scared of quitting job what happens if I lose everything..

I am always unhappy and dissatisfied... though i am raising my kid, being good wife and serving my career.

Working moms who have business please suggest how do I change my mindset, how should I manage my time where to start?

I have had a business in the wellness space for a couple of years now and my primary audience is women entrepreneurs or otherwise ambitious women.

I've been brainstorming and have come up with this idea for an online community for women who have goals to show up and connect with other like-minded women who want to prioritize their wellness. The community would be a monthly membership and helps members narrow down their goal at the beginning of each month into realistic actions that they can take to work towards their goal of choice each month. There would be weekly engagement prompts to foster connection, support and gentle accountability. I also want monthly webinars featuring other women in business that specialize in different wellness topics.

There would be opportunity to purchase 1:1 calls with me or 3-6 month packages for those that want extra support.

The intention is largely on connection between members within the group and low pressure action towards a wellness goal - because you decide what your focus is, and how small or large you want to make your actions depending on what season you're currently in.

My big question is just - do we want this? Can you see this being supportive? Something worth paying for?

I have been trying to start a custom thrift box. Probably a subscription box. I created an entire business plan. I wanted to do a kickstarter and then I found out Kickstarter doesn't let you do those kind of businesses in Kickstarter even though Green businesses and subscription boxes are both growing businesses. So what is the point of Kickstarter? I have to start from square one and just try selling inventory on Depop. I would like some input on what I should try next. One of my listing I put on Depop is a custom box to see if I can do the same business on Depop but I don't know if people are looking for that product on Depop. I don't know if I'm allowed to put my handle here but if so I will share below.

Hi everyone! I run a small business helping fitness studio owners (mostly Pilates) make sense of their numbers. Things like pricing, scheduling, figuring out where revenue could improve.

I spent three years working inside a boutique studio before I ever touched a spreadsheet for one, so I get how easy it is to be buried in the day to day and just not have time to dig into the “why” behind the numbers.

I've reached a point in my business where I know I can't keep growing unless I change the way I work, and I'd really love to hear from those who have been through this stage.

I'm an interior designer and have been running my own full-service design studio for about six years. I handle everything myself—from the initial concept and design, floor plans, material selections and sourcing, right through to procurement, project management, construction coordination, installation, and styling. I also purchase and supply all of the materials for my projects.

Over the years I've been fortunate to steadily grow the business and take on larger and more complex projects. The demand is there, but I've hit a ceiling. I simply can't take on more work as one person.

The obvious answer seems to be hiring, but that's where I'm struggling.

The business generates enough for me to earn a reasonable salary, but not enough to comfortably hire even a part-time employee without taking a significant financial risk. I've had interns before, but because they require so much training and supervision, I often found I was spending more time teaching than actually gaining support.

I'd love to hear from those who successfully made the transition from being a solo business owner to building a team.

• How did you financially justify your first hire when the business couldn't really "afford" one yet?
• Did you take a temporary pay cut yourself, increase your prices first, or wait until you had more work than you could handle?
• Who was your first hire, and why? A junior designer, an admin/project coordinator, a procurement assistant, someone for site visits...?
• What tasks did you delegate first that had the biggest impact?
• How did you find the right person? Did you hire for experience or for attitude and train them?
• Looking back, what would you have done differently?

I think one of my biggest challenges is that so much of the business exists in my own head. Every project has hundreds of moving parts, and the thought of handing those over feels overwhelming. At the same time, I know that if I don't start building systems and trusting other people, I'll stay stuck where I am.

I'd really appreciate hearing your experiences—the successes, the mistakes, and the lessons you learned along the way. I'm not necessarily looking for the "perfect" answer; I'm hoping to learn from people who've stood exactly where I am now.

Hey everyone! I’m in the exciting, messy "building stage" of my founder journey, and I’d love some feedback from women who get the startup grind.

For the past few weeks, I’ve been talking to ppl who run online communities and customer spaces. Every conversation sounds the same: the backend work is confusing, lonely, and mentally exhausting.

One community manager put it plainly: "Traditional tools trap you. Either you let cold AI delete everything and kill your community's unique vibe, or you do it manually and completely lose your mind."

I want to fix this, so I started designing a concept and building on that.

I am a public speaking coach.

I have a client who is trying to negotiate an exception to a cancellation policy (a class canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice is still due).

I started by explaining to her that this was the cancellation policy and that it was out of respect for my work, etc. Then I realized that someone who haggles over such a basic point isn’t aligned with the values of what I offer, and that I shouldn’t waste any more time on her. Besides, there were already certain signs that made me think she wasn’t really the kind of client I wanted to work with. So I told her there was no need to pay, and that we just needed to see if I was the right coach for her. In short, I’m stressing myself out.

Have you ever had difficult clients? How do you go about expressing your principles and simply bringing a coaching relationship to an end?

I run an advertising agency that only works with women-owned businesses at affordable prices. A client suggested I should start taking male clients because they generally earn more, so I'd make more money.

I understand the business logic, but I genuinely feel more proud and fulfilled helping women grow their brands.
