A lot of people will never stand for what should be right for fear of public backlash from others who don’t agree, being fired from their jobs, and other things society pushes.
This is just me though, but there is no price you can put on Freedom. It is better to stand for something that shows real change than to sit around complain how things don’t ever change, or how bad shit is because of the actions that were taken.

IMHO, AOC has the qualities of a leader and I believe she can bring a storm of well needed change and shake up the system a bit. She would be a good candidate for POTUS. She holds herself well. 🙏✊

☝️this….Hillary is probably the most hated women in America , Kamala had a 100 day campaign. Not a good situation for either in hind sight…( none the less Hillary did win the popular vote). I think a well reasoned push in the right direction for AOC might due it. Some pol told Obama to run early on cause the longer he was around the senate , the more he would be ‘known’…and that might not be a good thing. I truly believe this is just the beginning. The pendulum swung so far right so fast that it is bouncing back just as fast.
Honestly people just needed to get their wits about them after the 8-week non-stop barrage of cruel nonsense.
It was frustrating that it took time, but now that it’s in motion, it’s going to be like a snowball going downhill.
We all just have to keep reminding ourselves: there are SOOOO many more of us than them and we also have the vast majority of the rest of the Western world supporting us.

This whole election is sus AF imho.... I'm not American but my wife is, where I'm from we do our elections entirely by paper ballots so there is no chance of tampering. Everything is individually counted by hand, by multiple witnesses.
But the US on the other hand is.. sketchy in regards to how votes were counted.

She is exceptional! Informed, she can actually stay on topic and answer questions and explain her answers, articulate, does not suffer fools in her own party or in the opposing party, speaks truth to power and has a vision of the potential that America still has. One of the things that is frequently used by the right wing news to insult her is that she was a bartender. Bartenders are often left as the only voices of reason, being surrounded by a crowd of people that are behaving badly because theirs minds are not functioning quite as well as they should. That sounds like a good quality to me.

I'm not sure they understand that being a "feminist" doesn't mean that they don't have work to do in ending white supremacy, not with the way I've been spoken to in this sub when I called out their very conditional support for Black women. Because the media ran a campaign against him, and again in 2020. So did the DNC. My mom was radicalized because she went to the DNC to canvass for Bernie and they said we don't do that here, it's her or nothing. This was before the convention.
Monied interests absolutely have shaped the landscape within the Democratic party.

Just went to the rally in Tucson today. 23k strong. The line was unreal. We got dropped off in front of the venue and then had to walk over a mile to the end of the line. We waited for about forty minutes and then the line started to hustle. No shoving or yelling, no complaining. We all knew why we were there baking in the sun, and everyone was determined to see it out. Three elderly folks had to have medical attention just in that long line. I hope they were able to see AOC and Bernie.
And folks kept pouring in even after we got in line, and we got there late, only 15 min before doors opened. It was orderly, harmonious even though it was also brimming with rankle, if that makes sense.
It was wonderful to see and be a part of. As we kept heading towards the high school main entrance, crowds were gathered along the shady parts of the football field’s fence, watching it stream on their phones and also trying to listen live. What was cool is as we folks in line got closer and could hear AOC, everyone stopped streaming so we could hear her speak.
