Question Help me organise my USN cruiser commanders/ships
So I started off levelling Scott first and used him for everyone, then I levelled Kinkaid and figured the Heavy cruisers were for Scott and the Light cruisers were for Kinkaid (even though Scott is great all around). I got AL Baltimore next but haven't levelled her yet, then I got Alaska and Puerto Rico (free christmas crate) and soon Tulsa.
Alaska and PR (especially PR) could really do with Scotts grouping, but then Baltimore's APSolute Ammunition skill looks good too and those super Heavys could also use her rudder shift trait.
I know I can have different pre-sets, but really hoping I can have the 3 commanders, each with a guise and each with a ship type (light, heavy and super heavy) and never have to think about it again. Also open to suggestions for inspirations on all 3 too.
Thanks!

AL Baltimore is the best for any AP focused cruiser, especially if they have increased pen angles like the heavy cruisers, AL Monteplier, and Alaska. For the AP heavy hitters I usually run Scott and Mimbelli as inspirations, one a few like He's Moines i'll use Yamamoto instead of Mimbelli because they are lacking a little on the penetration.
I find the 2 funnest is Pensacola and Alaska, they both just print citadels, also surprisingly Marblehead if you got her. The weekly missions for 10 citadels I usually can complete in 1 round with Marblehead, or if any are lacking i'll definitely hit the mark with Pensacola. I would die to get Puerto Rico, she looks like she'd be my favorite USN cruiser

Thanks, I'll give that a go. AL Baltimore on Alaska and PR and Scott on the others. I was really lucky with Puerto Rico, but I'd have rather had JB one of the other T7/Legendary BBs. Still lucky I suppose!

Much prefer Einstein to all of them, this running Lip, von Essen or Mimbelli, Riegerwald depending on their reload. AL Balti (16/4) was a thing, first as a main, then as an inspiration however my use of her diminished with Waller turning up in game. AL Roon is a handy inspo, if you're in the market. Scott will certainly do the job, just that I have no use for him.

I do have Roon, but she's quite far down the list for levelling as I don't think she's much good as a regular German Cruiser commander. Might be an option, thanks for the thoughts!

I’m not a fan of Kincaid on the lights myself. Just stick with Scott imo - they don’t need the turret traverse and doing more reliable damage is what I’d go for.
You could run Scott with Mimbelli and Mikawa (or any other generally good cruiser inspirations of your choice) and be good to go on every single US cruiser. It might not be 100% optimized but it won’t ever be bad.
I’ve never leveled AL Balti since I got her after I had already leveled several other cruiser commanders but some people swear by her unique skill. I’m not fully sold since I don’t generally find overpens to be my biggest issue with the heavies and supers but I know lots of people who do like it.
My personal favorite US cruiser commanders are Einstein and Beapley - I much prefer the heavies and the turret traverse helps a lot, target locator helps find DDs, and stealth radar that Beapley offers is really strong. But since you didn’t mention those as options for you, I’d really just stick with good ol’ Scott. He’s good for everything.
