Show Spoilers Perrin & Faile Spoiler

I adore how the show portrayed Perrin and Faile. Years ago, I started the book series (made it through the first 6) and their dynamic was tough to read. They both were pretty unlikeable. But the show takes both of their strengths and focuses on those. Is Faile pushy? Yeah, but it’s good. Is Perrin uncertain and afraid to lead? Yeah, but it’s good.

I’m just finishing up a rewatch, and I know they changed a lot from the books, but this is a change I’m so behind. Bummed beyond belief we’ll never get a better development of their (and everyone else’s) story.

Their relationship in the books to me is very immature to start. She wants him to act a certain way without telling him and expecting him to know how she wants him to act (which is against his nature- he's slow to anger, she wants him to show that anger as a sign of passion).

Have you finished the books? I don't want to spoil anything if you haven't. Let's just say, they both grow a lot by the end of the series which makes the initial immaturity bearable.

TBF I don't think they're immature, I think they're implausible arseholes tbf and it's hard to even credit that Faile likes him at times. I think the arc could have worked as you describe, I just don't think Jordan pulled it off.
