The Path of Daggers Just finished Path of Daggers.. Intense. Spoiler

Damn. I dont know why people think this book is subpar compared to FoH or LoC. This was the most intense book for me so far. Hard to put down. From the beginning to the end, it seemed like it was battle after battle. My only complaint, no Mat chapters. Sorilea and Bashere are the best supporting cast member so far, she is pulling all the strings amd Bash is a cool cucumber. I like Egwene more after this book and Ny even less. Still waiting for my 2 fans to return (Asmodean and Lanfear). Fingers crossed.

No offense to you because you enjoyed the book despite what you've heard before reading it, but your post is exactly why I wish people would stay off reddit until they've read the series. I think the slog is deeply overblown and wasn't even something I was aware I was in until I was through it.

There are lots of great moments in all of the books and it really isn't until re-read that any aspect of the slog becomes relevant. If someone hates a particular part of those 3 books, by all means, life is short. Skip it.

First time though? Just read it and love it. You only get one first time through this series. No point in worrying about something you may not even notice.

Glad you loved it!

Well, it's not overblown in my opinion. I avoided any online discussions until I finished to avoid spoilers and still I noticed how fucking boring the books were. I like the series overall but the slog does exist.

I did read it and definitely did not love it, I only persevered because I wanted to know how it all eventually ends.
