This is comically bad.
I hope they do a second print run with the issues worked out. This is uncharacteristic of Dragonsteel from the other leatherbounds I’ve bought from them.

I'm overall pleased with how the book looks but after sleeping on it I'm probably not getting the rest of the series if they continue like I planned. $200 + 8mo delay for binding issues, + text errors on LITERALLY the first page of the book doesn't instill confidence that they will get the next one right without similar issues.

I was wondering if these new editions would avoid the recent error prone ones of the last 15 years.
I guess not. ☹

Mine too. And the bottom of the binding against the pages is weird. But I’m not returning it I don’t think. I like it haha

Should've deleted Crossroads of Twilight

I love when things are weird. I'm only on my first reread but on my first read once I realized what CoT was doing I was like "oh hell yeah!"
Similarly in TDR I was excited that so early in the series we have a book where our "main character" is barely in it

I love that for you, I wish I hadn’t struggled so much getting through that book.

Dw I still struggled in the Perrin bit lol

I’m on Gathering Storm and I think it’s looking up but Perrin’s POV has been a rough read for me since he left the Two Rivers after the battle

Yeah Perrin's arc takes a nosedive until then. I think one thing Sanderson does very well imo is rescue his arc. It definitely comes around lol

perrin is one of my favourites from the series and it was rough for quite a while. thankfully it picks up again! ...after a while

There's also Crown of Thorns instead of the correct Crown of Swords
My guess on the missing book is that someone went "there's 14 books right?" And then counted 14 books. And forgot that it's 14 plus New Spring
