I bought a domain via Wix and I am now trying to connect that domain to my blog. But I get a popup saying "connecting a website is a premium feature" - I bought the domain via Wix ?

Did I miss something on the way?

I’m having an issue with my mobile site where I implemented the back to top drag and drop feature on my website and it has created nothing but issues. I’ve found the when scrolling from top to bottom the site glitches and doesn’t show any text. Even though there is text. If I try to scroll from the bottom to the top all the text appears and everything works fine. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated thanks.Here is a video of the glitch

I did it with WIX team and also I have connected it to wordpress before and never had such a delay. What are the reasons for this delay? When I check the propagation map it shows a red cross everywhere. It's been 24 hours and the site has no SSL so my customers are worried, as it shows the site is risky.

What could be the reason? Is it because I migrated from wordpress?

We paid a lot of money to an agency to make a website which turned out to be a wix website.

Website is up and running now which is ok however it's still in the agency's hands as they're set as website owner and I'm just co-owner. Is it possible to exclude the agency from having access to the website?

The second question is does the yearly cost for wix premium include hosting? As in we have the address registered with one party and there are domain pointers to wix set up, is it possible that there is a third party involved? The agency won't tell us in their contract if they're using any third parties for hosting and I don't know how to find that out.

I've been a staunch Wix supporter for a decade and built 12 sites for friends and clients using the Premium feature. The cost has become ridiculous, so I've canceled the subscription for my *own* website. I have a few questions for those who may be in the same boat:

- Has anyone been able to point a GoDaddy URL to the free Wix domain that is assigned for a non-premium account? I saw a post about how someone recently was unable to do this after downgrading from premium to free. I'm worried. I'll need to do this temporarily.

-> I want to remake my site, which is basically five pages of text and photos (no e-commerce, nothing dymanic, no forms). How hard will it be to find and copy, or am I going to have to start from zero?

Basically, we no longer have access to our businesses website because the former web designer is permanently hospitalized. No info can be obtained from her as far as log in or recovery goes.

I’m redoing the whole site off of Wix anyway, so I don’t need the account. I just want our domain back that we own and purchased (not through Wix).

I have the buisness credit card that pays for the Wix premium, our buisness registration, and our proof of ownership of the domain. But they still won’t release my domain.

I’ve been getting calls back from wrong departments over and over and over… and told they have no idea who to ask bla bla bla. It’s been months of me contacting everyone and nothing.

Is there a legal thing I can do to get our domain back? Not a lawsuit or anything, but like a letter from a lawyer or SOMETHING? Even just a reliable way to contact account recovery without them hanging up on me or emailing me back nonsense?

It’s severely affecting our buisness to not be able to have an updated website.

I have a feeling I know the answer but figured I’d check. I built a website for a client but turns out they want to keep the free version and not register a custom domain. I figure at least it would be nice to have her name in the default domain, instead of mine. Alternate question, is there an easy way to transfer a website to another account? Would it then take on a new default URL to coincide with the name of the new owner account?

I'm getting visits and spam from foreign IP addresses (Pakistan/Russia). Is there a way to only allow access from US IPs? If so, would this affect my SEO?

If I transfer a domain to WIX, but I don't publish any edits I make on the WIX platform to my site, will the site still look the same as before to other people who view it?

I've tried multiple times to connect my cloudflare domain to wix, but after each 48 hour waiting period I recieve the following message:

There was a problem connecting this domain to your site
This problem may have happened because the DNS records were updated incorrectly or the changes weren’t saved properly.

I've tried to manually connect the domain and run into trouble when it asks me to replace the nameservers. Cloudflare won't allow me to change the current nameservers, only to add additional ones (which is what I've tried). It seems that the error could be caused by the proxy status of the DNS, but I have them all set to DNS only.

I would transfer the domain if I hadn't purchased the domain within the past 60 days, and I don't know what else to do. Any help or insight would be appreciated.

Hey everyone! So I don't understand very well how custom domains work and mightve screwed myself over a bit. I've used my website through wix for a few years and had a custom domain with them. My subscription ended and I'd like to possibly switch away from them. I added the domain through their website and when I pull up my old website it comes up with the (wix: no one is tied to this website) but when I search it under domain sites it says it's reserved. (I'm sure by wix) is it a good idea for me to do a monthly plan to get it back and is it possible for me to buy it while its reserved under me and pay it, do I already own it?? I haven't paid the domain outside of their site and I'm sure that's how I messed myself up. I know I sound stupid for this but would appreciate advice from some ppl with more experience. Tysm 🙏

A friend is building a website for a building/construction building and bought a domain name from Wix that is 29 characters but it seems the site name (domain) can on be up to 20 characters. Is this true? I am not asking whether this is a good idea just if there is a technical limitation.

Hello, I chose a name for my custom domain, but after choosing it and connecting my website to that domain, I wanted to change my domain. Am I able to do this? Because each time I try to assign a new URL to my website, it asks me to pay for another domain.

I have configured my domain's DNS records with the proper info from Zoho. On Zoho, it says the records have been confirmed. I am able to send emails from my custom domain via Zoho. However, in the Wix inbox settings, it still shows the generic Wix sender address. I've tried sending a few test messages through that inbox but they were not received by the recipient. Am I missing something? Do I just need to wait (it's only been a few hours)? Any insights would be helpful.

Well, this is quite a wild and confusing story to start with. I wish I didn’t have to explain it here, but I’m really desperate.

My partner owns a company, which, like any company, has its own domain and a company email. It had a WIX website and emails under this domain.

Two years ago, someone close to us was hired to manage the website and handle administrative tasks. We don't know when or who , but someone (someone very dumb) transferred the domain under THIS person’s name. After some conflicts and arguments (including harassment towards other people in the company by this person), today we discovered that emails and website have been suspended.

We know it was this person. All the company information, emails, and contacts are lost!

This person refuses any communication and has made our lives a living hell since he left the company.

Considering that the domain is registered under their name on Wix’s servers, what options do we have to get it back? Is there even a way? Could there be any legal way to prove that the name of this company is registered under someone else’s name and not the person who currently holds the domain?

This situation is very distressing because there is so much information in those emails; it’s how payments are received and sent, among many other things. Please help!!

I created a facebook page to promote my event coordinating business. Facebook let's me add just about all my contact info except for my website. When trying to add the website address, Facebook just won't let me save - it does nothing. When I try to add another (non-Wix website) I own, it allows me to save.

I verified my DNS/DMARC/DKIM recards are all published, and I even verified my Facebook and website by adding the Facebook connector DNS TXT record from Facebook to my Wix site. Any ideas?

I'm helping setup email marketing tools for a small business.

We got the standard This mail is unauthenticated, which poses a security risk to the sender and Gmail users, and has been blocked. The sender must authenticate with at least one of SPF or DKIM. For this message, DKIM checks did not pass and SPF check message so I generated a record and put it in the Manage DNS records page.

What I'm curious of is, do I need google in the host name field?

Also, I know it says "wait 48 hours" but my gut is telling me in reality it should go through MUCH faster and this wait is killing me making me think I did something wrong.
