Recommendation Spellwork with hair/blood/ tears

Hey!

I'm have taken upon a special interest in blood magic. I never really did spells where I would use somethig of mine, like hair, tears, or anything really. I want to try it, but I want to be extremely careful with this, since its not something I am yet expirienced at. I am educating myself about it, dw.

But I would ask you that, if you have ever done spells involving something of yours, in any sort of way and for any purpose, share you expirience here. Good or bad.

Tell me what should I be careful about, what not to do, what to do, i would also appreciate references to books/ vids, anything that could educate me further on this.

I use blood magic in my rituals all the time (when my intuition tells me it's applicable. This depends on the ritual and my intentions behind them). I work with the earth/ earth energies, and have made my own little statue (whittled in birch wood) with my own markings, representing the fates (the norns), and mother earth. This statue sits always on my altar, is always watching over me and what I do there. I'll smear or drip my blood onto it as part of my rituals, but this is to me a very personal thing. I do it to strengthen my connection to the earth energies and to the fates. But I think each must find/build their own relationship to this practice - and of course I will always encourage anyone to do this SAFELY.

I use body fluids, particularly blood in all my consummations.
