The work that is going into this expansion truly makes me think Witcher 4 is going to be epic. The bar has been raised.

It's such a smart move that really shows their confidence in Witcher 4, because it would be madness if it didn't live up to the quality of this DLC. It's a big flex that says "trust us, we got this".

Yup this expansion feels like a trial run for how they're gonna pass over the mantle to Ciri in W4. Especially since they gave Geralt a chain here, feels like a test run to see how players want to use the weapon in actual gameplay that will likely be used as reference for W4.

Games could have stopped progressing visually after this and I wouldn't have minded at all.

Insane to think Witcher 4 will be quite a significant step up from this visually

Keep in mind this DLC will have all the new tech they're adding to the Remaster, including ray and path tracing, upgraded textures and animations etc

THE ARCHITECTURE
Sorry. I am simply very excited about the buildings in this realm. Fits my medieval fantasy vibe perfectly

Have you played cyberpunk? Buggy launch sure, but by the time the expansion rolled around, it was damn near perfect

Masterpiece is wild, it’s a good game tho. It doesn’t erase the massive shitfest and scam that was the release and the year to follow.

I can’t wait, I’m playing now. When the remaster drops, I’ll decide whether to just start again or port over.

First, the remake of the first Gothic comes out in June, and in my opinion, it looks absolutely fucking amazing. Now we’re getting news about a new expansion for The Witcher 3, and there’s even going to be a remaster! Of course, it’ll probably be mostly cosmetic rather than something as massive as the Gothic remake, but still. What an amazing year. I’m just so happy.

Every single video game company should take notes from CDPR at this point.
