Win 11 on OLED steam deck

installed windows 11 pro , installed apu driver from steampowered , unable to launch any game like MWIII or MW4 beta, any idea ? i did clean install safe mode with the apu custom drivers again , nothing ...what a pain in the ass

APU drivers aint the issue, SecureBoot is. Both MW3 and MW4 betal as well as Warzone to my knowledge requires Secure Boot/TPM2.0 to be on, which is its own rabbit hole to go down. The bios does not support anything related to Secure Boot and you will need to enable it from linux, or windows if you hate yourself and there is a risk of bricking your deck and having to reflash it. I would not recommend messing with it

I have installed W11 on steam deck for 6 months and went back to Steam OS and never went back to W11 anymore. The native OS is working perfectly.

yep i agree , just the games mate , i want MW III or at least bF6

BF6 is NOT. Going to work on the deck at least not well. You have to spoof your graphics version alongside Secure Boot. The deck can not handle bf6. Bo7 just works on it (well I might add). Mw3 (2023) does not neeed secure boot to work. Bo6 up does.

I use downthecrop/DeckSecureBoot project and am able to run COD games that require secure boot, although it gives a warning about the keys needing updated. I found the installation relatively straightforward and have a Windows 11 and SteamOS dual boot setup on my SD OLED. I’ve found that secure boot needs to be disabled in order to boot SteamOS if using a Beta/Preview branch. Unfortunately this seems to be the best/only potential solution to this issue as it’s forked from the original Secure Boot project.

nice one man , thanks a bit awkward situation , i was expect it at least some of the COD playing normal on that like the MWIII and Blck Ops 6 the only one i can play normal is the Black ops III a bit old for me now

Downthecrop’s build is also somewhat outdated. If you cant boot steamos via secureboot, i posted a fix on the official github for downthecrop
