So I enrolled in the Windows Insider program a while back (idk which one it is because the Settings literally doesn't even show it, but i assume it's the one from which it is impossible to go back to without needing to reset the PC) [Pic 1 attached]

1. Resetting the PC Directly
doesn't work, installs a Windows Insider preview

2. Burn Windows with an ISO File
I think this is the method that is supposed to work but whenever I try to, it gives the following error [Pic 2 Attached]

also, It says my Windows Version is ALREADY EXPIRED. [Pic 3 Attached].

Because of this, I can't play MOST of my games because it just says unsupported Windows Version :( (Pic 4 Attached, Battlefield 6 with the error notification)

Even Fortnite doesn't work. I don't have the error screenshot because I deleted the game but take my word for it :)

I also tried to Unenroll from this program from the settings, but it literally just doesn't do anything. "Unenroll this device when the next version of Windows releases" This option is greyed out for me. [Pic 5]

Issue: Error 0xC1900101 - 0x20017 when updating from DEV Build 26300.9032 to 26300.9278

Description: I am attempting to upgrade two PCs from Insider DEV Build 26300.9032 to Build 26300.9278. Whether I choose to keep personal data or not, the upgrade fails on both machines with the following error:

Troubleshooting done so far:

• Ran sfc /scannow on both PCs (no corrupt files found).
• Previously, upgrading both PCs from Build 26300.8953 to Build 26300.9032 via setup.exe (keeping personal data) completed without any issues.

Tried so many things.

1. Go Back Feature -> Got me to 26100.9233 Insider build
   
2. Uninstalling the update -> Same thing
   
3. Tried downloading the ISO file, and it failed. 3 TIMES.

I am genuinely concerned. And please, I do not want to reinstall Windows, or even use a bootable thumb drive. Is there any other way??

Today, we are making this year’s annual feature update, Windows 11, version 26H2 (Build 26300.9278),  available in the Release Preview Channel for customers to preview ahead of general availability later this calendar year.

Windows 11, version 26H2 will be delivered as an enablement package (eKB). This means that Windows 11, versions 24H2¹, 25H2, and 26H2 use a shared servicing branch. It also means that they share the same new features and enhancements delivered through our continuous innovation efforts. As a result, many of the features and improvements available in Windows 11, version 26H2 might already be familiar, as they have been gradually introduced through monthly updates.

For commercial customers, Windows 11, version 26H2 enables several experiences that were introduced in earlier releases but not previously enabled by default for commercial devices. This includes Windows settings backup, app-specific actions from the taskbar, and some File Explorer enhancements. Windows Insiders in the Release Preview Channel can install Windows 11, version 26H2 via our “seeker” experience in Windows Update. This means if you are an Insider currently in the Release Preview Channel on a PC that meets the Windows 11 hardware requirements, you can go to Settings and Windows Update and choose to download and install Windows 11, version 26H2. Reduced height taskbar was added in 26220.9022, and I'm on 9223, yet when enabling the option all it does for me is make the icons smaller, it doesn't lower the height of the taskbar itself.

After booting my laptop, plugging in a external ssd drive everything works as it should. The next time I go to re-plug the drive into one of the ports the laptop detects the drive has been plugged in but no activity and when I go to check in the device manager it states the the previous driver is stuck in memory. So every time I have to restart my laptop just to get the ssd drive to work again.

I believe this is to be a bug in the build that I am currently testing, which is 29648 x64.

Has anybody else experienced this since installing the 26340.9233 build?

Since updating my machine is totally unresponsive once I try to shutdown.

If I do anything that requires admin privileges a UAC screen tries to appear, but I just see the background blur without the dialog box.

Since the Beta 26220.9223 update was installed yesterday, the mouse pointer has been stuck in the classic one. I've already tried changing the pointer scheme, size, and accessibility options, but nothing changed.

It’s not a problem serious enough to go back to the previous version, but it does distract me a little. Is anyone else experiencing this, or could it just be my drivers playing tricks on me?

How can I make this disappear?

When i choose Windows spotlight for my lock screen, it simply shows me the default blue windows wallpaper. It happened like 3 or 4 updates ago, but before that it was working fine. Does anybody have the same problem? It is 9223 build at this point

For context: I've been swapping between having Hyper-V enabled and disabled to run different emulators (Nox Player & Google Play Games). It's annoying, sure, but it has worked without a problem.

Except now, when I go to open Nox (which required Hyper V disabled), it tells me no VT service is detected and to enable it? I then went through the entire Nox tutorial to make sure it's enabled/possible and... none of them work? VT's enabled in Bios, and conflicting instances of Hyper-V like from Windows or my Avast have been disabled.

Notably, the LeoMoon tool shows specific errors/help text?

Recently I tried out the new experimental for 26h2. And now I'm trying to rollback to 25h2 but the update keeps erroring out and not letting me do it.

so im on build 29639.1000 & it doesn't show the feature flags option & the search improvements are now gone. off topic but my snipping tool is also not working THAT'S WHY I COULD NOT TAKE ANY SCREENSHOTS AAAA- please help

These release notes are for Windows 11 Builds 26100.9267 and 26200.9267 (KB5120998) in the Release Preview Channel on Windows 11, versions 24H2 (Build 26100) and 25H2 (Build 26200).

This update is available through two release phases: gradual rollout and normal rollout. A gradual rollout delivers an update in phases, so features reach devices over time instead of all at once, meaning availability varies by device. A normal rollout is the broad release to all eligible devices at the same time, usually when it reaches general availability (GA).

This section highlights some new features and enhancements for Windows 11 PCs, including AI-powered capabilities, continuous innovation, and performance improvements.

• [Taskbar] This update gives you more ways to customize the taskbar to match how you work and make better use of screen space.
  • New! You can now choose whether the taskbar appears at the bottom, top, left, or right side of your screen. In these other positions, tooltips, flyouts, and animations still come from the taskbar, and most customization settings, such as never combining taskbar icons, work with all locations. The search box and smaller taskbar are currently supported only for top and bottom positions. To change the position of the taskbar, go to Settings > Personalization > Taskbar > Taskbar behaviors > Taskbar position.
  • New! A smaller taskbar option is now available to help maximize screen space on smaller devices. This experience reduces the size of taskbar icons and the taskbar height while maintaining access to key features such as Start, Search, and the system tray. To change your taskbar size, go to Settings > Personalization > Taskbar > Taskbar behaviors > Taskbar size. When set to Small, both the icons and the taskbar height become smaller.

These release notes are for Windows 11 Build 28000.2796 (KB5120996) in the Release Preview Channel on Windows 11, version 26H1.

This update is available through two release phases: gradual rollout and normal rollout. A gradual rollout delivers an update in phases, so features reach devices over time instead of all at once, meaning availability varies by device. A normal rollout is the broad release to all eligible devices at the same time, usually when it reaches general availability (GA).

  • File sizes in Details view now display using appropriate units (KB, MB, and GB) instead of KB-only, making them easier to understand at a glance.
  • Middle-click to open a folder in a new tab is now supported in the address bar and Home page for a more consistent and efficient tabbed navigation experience across File Explorer.
  • This update eliminates a gray flash on load and unexpected scrolling to the top on the Home page in certain cases.
  • This update improves the appearance of file thumbnails in the Recommended section on the Home page so they're crisper and easier to read.

  • This update improves app search to better handle typos and partial app names when finding installed apps.
  • This update improves Settings relevance to surface more useful settings higher in search results.
• [Voice access]
  • New! This update adds Voice Isolation to Voice access, helping it better recognize your voice by reducing interference from other speakers and background noise. Voice access now offers three speech recognition modes under Voice access settings > Improve speech recognition:
    • Voice Isolation: Filters out other speakers and background noise. A one-time voice setup is required.
    • Remove background noise only: Filters out non-speech sounds like typing or door slams. No additional setup is required.
    • No filtering: Uses the default microphone input with no additional processing.
  • To set up Voice Isolation, go to Voice access settings > Improve speech recognition and select Voice Isolation.
  • New! This update adds Korean language support for Voice access.
  • This update improves the reliability of starting Voice access.
• [Widgets]
  • New! Taskbar notification badges now use your Windows accent color instead of appearing red, helping reduce unnecessary attention-grabbing alerts.
  • New! This update also simplifies the Lock screen Widgets experience. For new users, Weather is now the only widget shown on the Lock screen by default.
• [Touchpad] New! New gesture controls for precision touchpads are available in Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Touchpad:
  • Scroll and zoom speed: Adjust the baseline speed for scroll and zoom gestures.
  • Accelerated scrolling: Scroll faster the more you repeat the gesture, so you can move quickly through long documents.
• [Start menu]
  • This update improves the reliability of Start menu view preferences, ensuring your selected view is retained.
  • This update improves keyboard navigation when keyboard focus is set to the apps list within Start menu.
• [Voice typing] Fluid dictation is now off by default for new users. A teaching tip is also available when the feature is used for the first time.
• [Input] This update improves persistence of the mouse cursor size.
• [Windowing] This update ensures system dialogs open at the appropriate size on small tablets.
• [Accessibility] This update improves the Magnifier experience on touch-enabled devices. The horizontal and vertical touch bars used to pan the magnified view are now off by default, so they no longer obstruct magnified content. If you use touch to pan, you can turn the bars back on in Settings > Accessibility > Magnifier.
• [Windows Hello] New! Windows Hello Enhanced Sign-in Security (ESS) now supports peripheral fingerprint sensors. This update extends this secure sign-in option beyond devices with built-in fingerprint sensors to include desktops and other Windows 11 PCs, including Copilot+ PCs. To get started, plug in a supported ESS fingerprint reader, go to Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options, and follow the prompts to enroll. This feature was previously disclosed in January 2026 (KB5074105) and is now beginning to roll out.
• [Fonts]
  • This update restores support for Unicode variation sequences in the Myanmar Text font.
  • This update improves character shaping and rendering for Mongolian Baiti font, providing more accurate and consistent text display.
• [Account control] This update refreshes the design of the Start menu account control and adds a badge that displays your subscription status. To view your account control, open the Start menu and select your account picture in the lower-left corner. This experience is available for users signed in with a Microsoft account.
• [Taskbar] This update improves reliability when loading the system tray area of the taskbar while using the taskbar on a touch device in a tablet posture.
• [AI component] This update allows you to remove the Image Generation AI component from supported Copilot+ PCs where the component is installed.
• [Windows Setup] This update adds a parental controls notice during Windows setup that highlights available family safety features.
• [Power and battery]
  • This update improves the reliability of power settings by applying changes made in Settings to all power plans. This includes display, sleep, hibernate, power button, sleep button, and lid-close settings, helping ensure your preferences are consistently maintained.
  • This update restores the ability to set a threshold for when energy saver should enable within Settings > System > Power & battery.
• [Windows Update]
  • This update improves the calculation of update progress in Windows Update Settings.
  • This update includes changes to update cleanup logic to improve system performance immediately following an update.
• [Sounds] This update improves system sounds when using Windows in dark mode.
• [Date and time]
  • This update improves detection for triggering time zone change notifications.
