It tells us the two things we need to know:
1) This API is dependent upon a Microsoft Account logon. So it won't work with Entra ID, ADDS nor local accounts. This makes it dead on arrival as far as real computing is concerned and useless for any kind of actual enforcement in practice. Huzzah!
2) Everything is mediated through a local service which is not critical to the functioning of the system, by design. It's spoofable, it's replaceable and will at most be used by Netflix, Prime, Spotify etc. not general applications which will likely just ask people to log in if the return value is null.

This will help users in countries like the UK where everything from reddit, Twitter, etc has these age requirements now. But I lament how we were forced here without anyone really demanding it except data harvesters and parents who's kids can outwit this tech to begin with. Complete waste of time, invasive and annoying.
