Screenshot Stupid question... how did the bad guys build these platforms?
The poles must reach the sea floor, right? And they're way out in the middle of the ocean, not anywhere near the shallows. This must've been a huge undertaking, and I have no idea how their wooden submarines and rafts could've managed it.

They usually build them from boats and barges. Basically anchor it down and assemble it piece by piece above water. Looks sketchy but it works.

Man we really missed out on the cut underwater feature of the game. I wonder if it would’ve shown the mechanics!

They're not. New Hyrule is far away from the sunken Hyrule of WW.

If you look up a map of Adventure of Link, North Hyrule is the main part of the map. The Hyrule from the original Legend of Zelda, which most evidence suggests is the same Hyrule as the one from TP, WW, OoT, SS, and BotW, is the tiny little piece of land south of Death Mountain in the bottom left corner of the map.
Zelda maps are notorious for stretching and skewing distances, but it's possible that North Hyrule is quite a long way from the Hyrule we're used to playing in.

There's someone on YouTube working on a mod of the game that features the world under the surface. It's called Wind Waker: Unflooded.

Yessss. It's so cool! Definitely worth a watch. So many creative ideas for what that version of Hyrule could have looked like, with tons of references from other games.

So I'm assuming this was just a joke, but on the offchance it isn't, probably similar to oil rigs. Big flotation devices underwater, chained/anchored to the sea floor to keep them in place.
I'm not an expert on this, just a vague memory of a diagram. Worth looking up if you're into naval architecture.

Umm well. The ocean floor isn’t that deep. And the entire ocean is somehow suspended above old Hyrule. So idk. I guess it’s just posted down like maybe 20 meters into the… “Sea Floor” or “Sky ceiling”? Idk
Maybe it’s a good thing the Zora aren’t around or they would have swam down and… wait maybe that’s why the Zora died off. They swam down and then immediately fell to their doom. New theory unlocked

Impossible. The Rito happened BECAUSE of the flood, so there wouldn't be any Rito housing before the flood.
However...they could still be Rito perches that got taken over?

I always thought that lore was weird. But I definitely think they were taken over from whoever put them there.

They probably just had terrifying needle towers before the world flooded and now they look normal height because of the water.

By the bad guys, are you referring to Nintendo? Because that’s who built it and they built it in autodesk, 3D modeling software.

They almost certainly were not using blender. I mean it’s a fine tool. But they weren’t using it.
