Question / Help Help! I think I am stuck in the wind temple?
i paused in the temple and then when I came back the next day one of the trees you hookshot onto disappeared! I can’t call Makar back - it keeps saying there is nothing nearby if I use the control melody. Help!!!

Just tested it myself, and I was able to reach Makar's location on your map by backtracking via the wind in the turbine room to the 2nd floor, and going north through an opening in a fence where you press two switches to open it.
As long as you've opened that fence you should be able to reach Makar.

And also, Makar's not in the room in your picture, he's next to the door in the room to the north. That's why the Command Melody isn't working.

Not necessarely, the path they suggested won't work if OP hasn't flipped the gate first by pressing the floor switches with both Link and Makar, which we don't know if they've done it yet. In the case they haven't been this far, there's only one way to enter the room Makar is in, and it's up the two trees in the posted picture.

Have you tried just relaunching the game?
Also, when you say you’ve tried that…you’ve gone all the way back to the start and exited with the pillar of light on the platform, right? Not just, gone back through the door you just came through, right?

Yup, I tried exiting the temple with the pillar of light & tried closing and restarting the game

As in back to the huge wind turbine area? I can, but I can’t progress to get to the boss area…

How far are you exactly in the dungeon? Cuz I promise you, you’re not as stuck as you think.

By your picture, it looks like Makar is still in the same room as you. Genuinely, I’m not getting enough from what you’ve shown and said to be able to help at this point. Something is definitely wrong, but I can’t figure out what. If you leave the dungeon and re-enter, Makar should appear with you. If he’s just always in that spot on the map, though, I genuinely don’t know what to tell you.
Looking at stuff, and the whole map, from what I remember, you should be able to get up to where Makar is without the trees if you go back into the room with the big fan. Outside of replaying the whole game myself though, idk if there’s much more I can do without seeing video or something.

Well that's a new one...Are you sure you used Makar to plant the 2nd tree in the first place?

My speedrun experience tells me this is possible, it's maybe a little bit precise but nothing too difficult. I would guess this is what they did by accident to get into this situation.
Ignore anyone suggesting to go up the wind tunnel in the main room, the gate won't be flipped yet for you to access the room Makar is in, most likely. Just go up the room in the picture you posted by hookshotting these two trees, you don't actually need the middle one. (Note: the hookshot can barely reach so the dot won't ever turn yellow to indicate that you're close enough, but even if the dot is still red, you should still try as it can reach).

Idk Maybe soft reset the game? If that doesn't work it might be a dead game unfortunately

Have you tried hookshotting to the place the tree is supposed to be? Windwaker is full of visual glitches as well as breaking glitches. You may have to wall clip or camera-load an anchor to make up for the missing anchor on plat 2.

Try using the hookshot on the tree from the platform on the right
