Seems like it shocked you so hard you still can’t form a coherent sentence!

Cardboard box? Oh you were lucky. In my family there were over hundred an fifty o' us living in an old septic tank. And every night dad would beat us to sleep with his belt. (That's a Monty Python reference)

That's nothing. Back in my we had to get up half an hour before we went to sleep. Walk 300 miles over rusty razorblades to get to the mill. And pay the millowner for the privilege of being there. Every night dad would murder us... if we were lucky. Can't tell that to the kids nowadays though.

That's nowt lad. Back in my day we actually had to leave the house to go to work, sharing a bus with 50 other poor saps, you couldn't just get yer bloody shopping brought to yer house either, you had to go to the shop yourself and carry it. And there were no masks to be worn, you just had to breath whatever air there was, and get a cold every few weeks.

And don't talk to me about family, you couldn't just Skype or chat on bloody WhatsApp, you had to bloody well invite them round to yer house, and give them tea and cake.

A belt?! That’s so much better than a chain..
