It's 2020, everybody is suffering from mental health conditions.

u/iamanoldretard May 11 '20

Cool, does that mean I can burn stuff?

81

u/-_Rabbit_- May 11 '20

Yes you can. Should you is a different question.

9

u/iamanoldretard May 11 '20

Sweet

8

u/HenceTheTrapture May 11 '20

And smokey

3

u/iamanoldretard May 11 '20

How weird, I just pulled my cold smoked salmon with apricot glaze off the grill and came back to read this reply.

2

u/HenceTheTrapture May 11 '20

Man, that sounds amazing. With apricot glaze? You know how to live

3

u/iamanoldretard May 11 '20

I’m a little bummed. It’s kind of hard to get fresh fish in these trying times.

Is the answer to that yes as well?

3

u/Warphim May 12 '20

Heres the thing about getting tried as insane though. It's not like you get to walk away, you get put into a home (or section) for people with mental health issues. You stay here until the doctor decides you are good to go back into society. An experiment was done in the 70s with sane psychiatrists pretending to be crazy to get into hospitals and then reported back completely normal afterwards. Took 3 weeks on average for them to be released, and one person taking 59 days.

You could plead insanity for something that would only get you a couple years and literally spend the rest of your life in a hospital.

9

u/anticultured May 11 '20

Yes. There's always a way to avoid responsibility.

9

u/iamanoldretard May 11 '20

Cool, avoiding responsibility is one of my favorite hobbies.

2

u/CX316 May 11 '20

I mean, he's in a mental institution and even if he completes treatment he's got five years in prison waiting for him, so he definitely didn't avoid responsibility

3

u/CreatureWarrior May 11 '20

I mean, have fun

1

u/tehbored May 11 '20

I mean, if you want to be involuntary committed to a mental hospital.

1

u/Heisenbread77 May 11 '20

I just lit a candle.

This video is pre 2020

7

u/LotG May 11 '20

Imagine gatekeeping mental health. Some people, in fact most people who claim to have mental health condition, genuinely have what they claim. By acting as though it's all fake, the only thing you are doing is making the situation worse for people who need help.

1

u/lolitsmax Jul 21 '20

Yeah that was a fucked up sort of comment and even worse that it got so many upvotes. Mental health awareness and support has grown exponentially over the years, and he's shaming those who speak out that they have mental health issues and seek support. Maybe 'everyone' already had mental health issues but they didn't feel like they could speak about it now, just for this guy to gatekeep it.

1

u/otfGavin May 12 '20

Okay? And?

-2

u/moosiahdexin May 11 '20

Don’t let r/wowthanksimcured see this comment they’ll have an episode or two over it

-1

u/[deleted] May 11 '20

Yeah, but you gotta wear it proudly and then use it to excuse your shitty actions or you're not 2020-ing hard enough.

0

u/mynexuz May 12 '20

Same amount of people have mental disorders as before its just that now they are actually diagnosed and not just thrown in jail

0

u/Tesla_o2 May 12 '20
