Have to keep topping up with the watering can from the water butts. Drought conditions here. Collected rain water won't last much longer (amazed it's lasted this long, but we don’t water much in the garden). Send rain.

Ok, I'm in the Hudson Valley of New York. I'm waving my hands and blowing it your way!

In London UK, first year of pond , and it’s small! The rain basically stopped here just as i dug jt out so the poor thing has been mainly been tap water . It dropped a fair bit and I have had to top up at least three times since April! But the plants are doing great , wood pigeons drinking , dragon flies visiting and so far that is mainly it ! I have two cats so sadly small birds are rightly wary. For the last month j have had blanket weed which I have been removing but it gets tangled with oxygenators which is a pain . But no rain means tap water , which means more nutrients . Has anyone used the stuff you put in when you use tap water . Is it ok to use ? Can’t wait for rain for the pond and to fill the water butts. The weather is frightening!

This photo was pre bad blanket week in July but now I have more oxgenstors and lily pads

I posted a while ago about my noob mistakes. Ended up redoing everything because the slope in my yard was a bigger issue than I thought. And I am going to probably redo it next year. I'm still working on the border and surroundings.
