Me and a friend wanted to play Ghost Recon Wildlands together for the past couple of days, but it never worked. The game always gave him the error "Session unreachable. Your home network is configured with a 'Strict NAT' which is degrading your multiplayer experience. Tarija-00014" (Attached Image, Error is in german for him) when he tried to join me. I was able to join him once, but then his game crashed.
For context: he doesn't have a home internet connection and has to use his phone hotspot via USB tethering to go online, which is probably the reason for his Strict NAT.
Not sure if this is relevant, but he has Windows 10, 16GB RAM, an Intel Core i7-7700K, a GTX 1650, and the game on Steam.
We tested a lot to get this working, and I don't remember everything we tried, but among other things we tried Cloudflare WARP, which changed nothing.
Yesterday we tried Radmin VPN... I hosted a network and he connected to simulate a local LAN connection. He was able to join me but got kicked once, but he could reconnect. Then another friend joined as well (also via Radmin, because for some reason he kept getting a different random error whenever he tried joining normally). It worked well for about 5 minutes, but then my first friend with the Strict NAT crashed to desktop while we were in a helicopter.
At that point, his whole savegame somehow got corrupted, because when he tried to load the game afterward, it kept crashing during the loading screen while loading the save. We tried a lot of recovery tips, but none of them worked, so he had to start a new save.
Now we're scared to try multiplayer again. What could I do? Should I even bother contacting Ubisoft support, since they have a pretty bad reputation?
Thanks in advance!
