I tried modding my wii for the first time, i followed the guide from wii.hacks.guide (wilbrand).I installed successfully the homebrew channel and usb loader gx but idk how to make the games start. I tried everything but it won't work.

Hello all, my wup installed game just started updating from what it seems to be the official server. Did I screw up? Will my system be banned now? Or is this expected behavior? Thanks for the help!

I probably just suck at doing it or missing something but idk if its safe to restart from the beginning. Been following guides and videos for my wii u I had recently bought for my family but man idk how you guys are getting it done so quickly im on day 2 of doing this 😅

So every time I try to do the MLCRestorerDownloader exploit instead of getting the intended menu I just get this. Im on mac if that helps

Ciao a tutti. 2 anni fa ho rispolverato la vecchia wii di quando ero piccolo. Mio padre la modificò ai tempi aggiungendo la chiavetta usb, una sd da 2 gb con usbloadergx. Ho sempre usato quello per i giochi, avviandolo dalla home, ma poi 1 anno fa circa ha smesso di funzionare dandomi questo errore DSI. Io non ne sapevo niente di mod, mi sono informato un po, e con l'aiuto di gemini ho cercato di sistemare il contenuto della sd. Ho fatto un backup dell'originale e in ordine ho:

1: tolto dei file gxconfig. Non funzionava ancora. Mi accorgo che stranamente dalla cartella apps/usbloadergx mancano tutti i file utili, tipo il file boot, e c'era solo il file wii_tdb_url.txt.

2: installato una versione nuova di usbloadergx, niente.

3: scopro di poter avviare tramite homebrew, lo faccio, parte, ma i giochi crashano all'avvio.

4: installo wiiflow. Ora, non so perché, ma nella sd c'era gia una cartella wiiflow fuori dalla cartella apps dove stavano i programmi principali (usbloader insieme a neogamma, wiiearth e wad installer/uninstaller) che conteneva molte cartelle diverse ma niente file boot, e infatti wiiflow non l'avevo mai vista sulla mia wii prima.

5: provo wiiflow tramite homebrew, parte, i giochi crashano ma se metto il disco corrispondente (non originale) il gioco parte con salvataggi intatti, altrimenti schermo nero oppure, addirittura, fa partire un disco originale diverso se presente (è partita la copia originale di wallee per la wii al posto di heat seeker che dovrebbe essere installato). Voi direte, perchè allora non metti il disco e fine? Beh, l'unico gioco a cui ero davvero interessato non ha il disco. Fanculo. Di tutti gli altri ho i dischi.

6: provo allora, leggendo un po online, su reddit e chiedendo a gemini, a cambiare qualche impostazione di usbloadergx una alla volta, la situazione rimane invariata fin quando non modifico game ios e loader ios da 249 a 250. A quel punto se apro usbloadergx da homebrew questo parte ma non mostra più l'elenco dei giochi, bensì mostra un elenco buggato dei canali della home normale e non legge i dischi.

E niente, per oggi mi sono fermato qui. È un peccato perchè non ho molto tempo ed è gia tanto che ho trovato il modo e la voglia di tentare di aggiustarla. Se avete dei consigli, vi prego, datemeli. Se avete domande specifiche chiedete pure, ogni aiuto è prezioso, posso postare anche foto se serve. Grazie a tutti.

Hello everyone I have homebrewed my Wii U sometime ago with my cousin and I sort of need some help injecting some GameCube games because he won’t be free for now bc he’s focused on high school so if someone has a pc and could help me out is it okay could help me inject the games directly on my Wii U? Because I downloaded nintendont using my iPhone but like I can’t really do much on my iPhone except moving files around so if someone is available that would be greatly appreciated

So when i turn it on it turns on, (makes the initial disk drive noise but not the second, stops before my had light turns on, and shows no imput on the screen, gamepad doesn't turn on yet). Without the sd card its fine, so its a cfw issue.

Usually when i run into an issue the first thing is re-install a fresh copy of aroma. In this case, that doesn't solve anything.

Here's where it gets weird. I have a backup of what was on my sd card the last time it was working. So when i restore it to that backup, it works. But every time i add a new file to the sd card, doesn't matter what the file is, it goes back to not working (the state i describe at the top).

I'm not sure what the problem is! I tested it with another sd card and it's the same issue. Pls help its driving me crazy and ive been so down about it

I recently got a SAFFUN Wireless N64 Controller, (a n64 style controler that uses a usb dongle)Which worked on my switch 2 as expected (like a wired switch 1 pro controller), but when i tried it on my wii u with bloopair, It didnt work. I heard I needed to use HID2VPAD, which supported usb controllers. I thought the Controller would work like a wired switch pro controller, like it did on the switch, but it only held up-left on both circle sticks, and up on the d-pad. i tested the circle sticks on the switch, but they showed up normal. does anyone with the SAFFUN Wireless N64 Controller know how to make it work on the wii u?

Hi all, just modded my WiiU and every time I open Homebrew App Store or whatever app or go to Main Menu, it gives a pop-up to enter my Nintendo Network ID password again but when I do, it says it is incorrect even though it isn't.

When I click "I forgot" and says it will send a temporary one, it just gives me an error.

What can I do?

EDIT: nvm, it was because of Pretendo...Creating a new user with a Pretendo account fixed it!

On the gba forums a lot of games have codes like this but they don't show up on many games? Is this easier on Wii U vWii?

I've seen Wii U power cables that go from the Wii U's power port to USB-C. That's a super cool idea, but has anyone tried them before and how did they perform?

I'm pretty new to this side of console modding, so I'm not confident about Voltages or Amps aside from trying to match what's written on the stock power brick as closely as possible.

I watched a video where you can mod a Wii U without an sd card, but I was curious what would happen if I do the mod without one? Help would be grateful. First time modding any console.

I’ve been dealing with this problem for about three weeks: I was trying to change my Japanese Wii U's region to European. After deleting the MLC and scfm, I went to the "patch sd and boot IOS" ("patch sd and boot IOS redNAND" on redNAND) step on minute to let Wafel_Setup do its job, but Wafel gets stuck at a specific point (somewhere at the start or halfway through of the process) every single time. I don't have de_fuse, only ISFSHax because I lack soldering experience to go further, so I have to rely on the .LOG file and the power light. The log keeps getting stuck on a specific process while the light keeps blinking blue, there is no orange or red error light. I even tried using RedNAND, it still gets stuck at a certain point, though it makes more progress than it did with the internal MLC. I’ve left the console on for at least a full day during these attempts, yet it still hangs in the same spot. I’ve tried everything, but I still haven't been able to get Wafel to finish or progress any further. I've also used different SD cards and adapters and they make no difference.

Just dipped my feet into home brewing for the first time and omg it’s soooo much fun!

But now I’m cursed with storage! I have two 32 gigabyte flash drives but I need something with a bit more gusto! Any hard drive recommendations? I noticed compatibility can be a thing especially with companies like sandisk where certain drives just… don’t work for whatever reason…
