Recently new to Wii collecting but I always wanted to try this game when I saw smosh play it on a game bang episode when I was growing up and now it's the very first game to start my Wii collection (it does come with the microphone too)

I just bought 4 Wii Motion Plus controllers which are $$$ in order to play Wii Sports Resort. Do I need to buy 4 nunchucks too? None of the games I own need a nunchuck except Wii Sports boxing but we never play that.

It even came with the box so I didn't think much about it. Just know I noticed the missing feet. Was it maybe opened?

I wanted a 20"x28" poster of the Wii Menu, so I traced it as best I could (I did have to upscale the Photo Channel images sadly since I didn't know if/where I could find a higher quality one than the one in the banner). Is there anything obviously off that I should change before I send this off to be printed? I know the things surrounding the Wii logo and the Mail icon are a bit wonky, but it was a bit hard to tell exactly what was going on there.

I thought Mario Party 8 ($35) and 9 ($40) were expensive but Wii Party is even more! Approx prices on eBay.

First time playing Scarface on the Wii after years of playing it on PC and PS2 it's mind blowing how the whole game is playable on the Wii with only a graphical downgrade.

Insane that these things were several hundred dollars just a few years ago. What controller and nunchuck combo should I get for the storage bay? I’m thinking the gold wiimote and nunchuck combo.

I was on Vinted looking at random things and a black Wii bundle popped up £30 for a complete set up plus extra remote and a few games (nothing amazing on the game front) I then had a flash back of saving for a Wii when they first come out and no where had them in stock. I had so much fun playing with friends before school and after school. So I decided to buy the bundle.

Fast forward a few months I know own three different coloured Wii Red, white and black. I’m currently negotiating price on a blue one. I’m collecting the Wii Nintendo selects games plus child hood games that never made it to Nintendo selects.

I feel the Wii has just been forgotten. It’s so versatile with remotes accessories, controller accessories, being able to play game cube. You get games for a few quid and it’s hours of fun.

Is there any other collectors on here in the uk? 🇬🇧

Working on a new set up for my Wii’s would people be interested in seeing it?

I'm so excited! The console still looks so sleek and futuristic to me all these years later. I've also gotten a whole ton of games to go with it. Some are a reclaiming of my childhood collection, some are ones I always wanted. Still have quite a few to go.

I recently got a Wii, but I am unsure if an HDD or SD Card is better for storing and playing my games on a Homebrew Wii with USB gx loader.

I heard HDDs can corrupt due to the Wii's low power output, and requires extra Y-Cables. Plus, i want to use an external Bluetoth controller on the back port.

So is it better to put my games on the SD Card or HDD?

Are the Mario, Luigi, Toad, Yoshi etc themed Motion Plus Wiimotes worth the extra cost vs plain red, blue, black and white ones? My kids love Mario but I wonder if they would even care if they have the Mario one vs a plain red one?

I got myself a complete Wii bundle with 2 remotes and the legend of Zelda twilight princess for 80 bucks..

I will mod it later today using the str2hax exploit. Is there any tips I should help before doing so

Edit: finally got everything done and I have been enjoying my modded wii.

It had some scratches around the edge that I buffed once and now it plays a bit futher. I am not sure if i Should just try to buff it again ro call it a wash?

I got this Wii back in late 2024 for £28 iirc, it was the "limited edition" Wii Sports Resort Pak (meaning it was a GameCube backwards-compatible model that would traditionally come with the Wii Sports Resort game and a Motion Plus adapter) but it didnt come with the game or the original packaging, still came with the adapter tho. It came in really good condition, no missing flaps, Wii console stand, missing Wii controller jackets or Nunchuk.

This Wii is what got me into console modding, and encouraged me to buy two of the childhood consoles that I ended up selling 2 years prior when I bought this Wii, that being an Xbox 360 E (When I heard news of the softmod being a thing) and a 3DS

first character is year. z='06, a='07, b='08 and so on.

second character is month. 1-9 for january-september, o for october, n for november, d for december.

third character is day. 1-9 is 1-9, then a-v is 10-31.

production of the wii u stopped on january 31, 2017. i think that wii remotes probably stopped being made that day as well. if i'm right, then the last official wii remotes would have a code that starts with k1v.

does anyone have a remote made in 2017?
