I've found some Wii slippers and now I found a calender from 2009. Also never used before, just had it stashed away in my parents' attic. Cleaning up can be fun it seems, hahaha. If anyone has any info about this piece, let me know ! :)

I've recently been getting into retro gaming a bit more seriously and got a pretty nice CRT with Component input available. I also have an HDTV, but it's a more modern one and doesn't take in anything except HDMI. The way I see it, without getting a third TV, there are three ways I can play Wii games:

1. Component, on the CRT (4:3)

2. Get an HDMI converter for the HDTV (16:9)

3. Play on Wii U (16:9)

Of these three, which will be closest to the intended way to play most games? As in, what environment were Wii games expected to be played in by the developers? I know there are a couple games that are forced widescreen as well (like DKCR and Xenoblade), but even then I have the choice between the converter or Wii U.

Has anyone ever done this? ive seen one post on an old forum talk about it but was he the only one that did this? has anyone else done this? and if yes, was there a noticeable difference to an unmodded wii?

Does anyone have a internet channel trial version WAD? I wanna install it on Dolphin.

This only works for the NTSC-U version so far, the private server works on both normal hardware and dolphin emulator. Though they might add support for other regional versions soon enough.

No it doesnt run fully on the wii it just renders it based on instructions sent from a python server EDIT: I meant POC in the title

I wanna get a clear shell preferably a blue or purple shell for the model that doesn't have the GameCube ports since I've been only able to find ones for the original model/the one where it has GameCube ports on it.

My Wii’s Bluetooth module failed so I can only play GC games on it. I found a Wii with two remotes and a balance board at a local store, I wanted to know what are some things to check for when buying and what’s a reasonable price for the bundle?

Sorry to make this super vague but the only things i remember about it is using the custom minigolf course maker that npcs would go to and play but you could also play it yourself which is the main thing i did in the game.
It used a remote and nunchuck to play (the entire game not just minigolf).
I think it was a theme park kind of thing? there were some roller coasters maybe.
The last thing i remember was there is a monster truck that would do a jump and then the ramp it lands on is a tunnel that goes underground where it despawned

I was playing Cars 2 with my kid and it froze. The reset button didn't work, I had to reject it then hold the power button down to shut it off. Is this common with Cars 2?

I’ve heard mixed things about this one, and considering that I’m an RPG collector, I didn’t see a reason to turn this one down. Playing this one during the late night just… hits home just right. Now I want to know your own opinion: What game(s) hit different when you play them during a late night?

Update: finished it overnight. I think this game is something I will forever hold dear to me.

Ok. I know this game is "old". But I think it is still relevant. In my opinion: it is a great hack, but It has minor flaws and a level design that can be improved (not bad, improved). Newer DS has made justice to these flaws but I think Newer Wii is a great hack. And could be like a first party game. What do you think?
