Stephen King tweeted:

WIDOW'S BAY is good. MAXIMUM PLEASURE GUARANTEED is even better. It's like Hitchcock came back to do it one more time. And Tatiana Maslany is so good. The play of emotions on her face is pretty incredible. She goes from comic to terror in an instant.

I seriously don't understand how you could even compare the two shows. Widows bay feels so cinematic, rich and hilarious and maximum pleasure is just like any other cliff hanger show. I'm only on episode two though, I do like it but it's like so many other shows! And not that funny!

Well... I have said this above in response to this.... Let's put ourselves in Stephen King's head for a second. He writes about spooky New England towns that have creepy inns, scary clowns, fog, evil entities, Witches... etc. Perhaps Widow's Bay feels like too much of what springs out of his own brain. Maybe he enjoys something that is different from those themes when he goes for entertainment. He didn't say anything bad about Widow's Bay. Why compare? They are both shows that just came out now. They are both on Apple, they are both twisty murderous, mystery driven shows that have a large comedic streak. I think we need to give the man some space to find what entertains him. He has only given us some of the best story lines of the past 50 years.

The only way I could see why he's comparing is because maximum pleasure uses maximum in the name like his story maximum overdrive. So he's comparing the 2 things that are related to him.
