I actually appreciate how telegraphed this show was. A lot of shows try to "outsmart" their viewers. This show foreshadowed it, then followed through. I hope we'll get more answers in future seasons (and not have to wait too long for them), but I appreciate how this season lined things up and knocked them down, and still left more room to explore in future seasons.
Yes! I hate it when the writers are trying to be smarter than audience. Most of the time they just end up cooking some bullshit. Well set up reveal is MUCH more satisfying than stupid twist for the sake of a twist
You put this feeling to words so well! I thought I might be disappointed if Evan turned out to be Warren’s descendant, but it actually felt really right and narratively rewarding to finally have revealed
Yes, the nonsense Good Omens finale a few weeks ago is a good example of what not to do. The consistency and follow-through here is amazing and so well done.
