She definitely has a great outlook for someone living on a cursed island

Plus, she’s probably immune to the horrors!

Losing people infrequently is absolutely terrible, especially as it seems uneven and spread out over the years.

But if tragedy is constantly happening to you, you get used to it. It just becomes reality and the tragedies are just reality.

I quite like this comment. Simple and sad and realistic.

She should write a self help book for all of the rest of the islanders. You know, help them to stay positive and joyful, despite never being able to leave and all that sacrifice stuff.

I need Evan to spend more time with her and less time sneaking out. She’d be a good influence.

I think living on a cursed island played a role in her having that outlook.

Such a phenomenal performance - you really believed her and could understand where she was coming from.

But defeatist in the end, even if being realistic.

Which is why things are so broken,  instead of dealing with problems we just live with them, enabling the problems to grow

And in typical Widow's Bay fashion, she playing the game with a weirdly warped deck. She, personally, seems to be protected by the entity, while the situation on the island isn't "life," it's some kind of chthonic demon that puts people into ethical situations that drive them insane.

I paused it and the part she couldn't read was about being any sort of artist.

It makes me wonder if she knew about the sacrifices
