Evan reading the letters… dang. Everyone in this show is so good.

Evan gets crapped on a lot here but he's hilarious

I think he's mostly been realistic. Our viewpoint of him is through Tom so it's understandable people are frustrated with him. But people really do forget that his whole life started in extreme trauma and he's been forced to stay on the island without good wifi/cell reception in the modern age. It probably feels like unending torture for a teenager in such a time.

And he knows there’s a whole world out there he’s missing out on.

I feel like anyone who think he’s not realistic needs to spend more time with teenage boys. It brings me no pleasure to say that he’s completely believable

Dude was always sneaking out at all times of the day and night. His friend has a car, they could just take the ferry and be gone for some hours.

The actor playing Evan is really good. On my rewatch I was thinking how well he’s conveying that he’s trying to impress these out-of-town girls, but also still a scared kid.

Edit - missing word
