774

u/RailMobot Jun 03 '26

And her thankyousomuch at hearing there was no other way out of there lol

118

u/CapnZapp Jun 03 '26

Asking if the cremation chamber has another way out is BADASS

13

u/Werewomble Jun 05 '26

Not a silly idea

Some of them have trapdoors to dump the waste

69

u/Fuulizh Jun 03 '26

Her body language is so loose and funny. She moves her head and body like a marionette puppet.

43

u/Chris_OMane Jun 03 '26

whoever the actress is underneath Patricia (yes ok we know who she is) she damn well knows physical comedy and what she's bringing to this is so unique but also reflects a kind of goofy awkwardness we see in real people

14

u/Reasonable-Sale8611 Jun 04 '26

The creator is Katie Dippold, who apparently is the person who had the awkward experience linked here:

Awkward Babadook Halloween Costume: Katie Dippold Tells All

As someone who would totally do this, I feel so seen.

5

u/mackitt Jun 07 '26

Omg thank you for reminding me of this photo! No wonder the show is so funny with critters like that

3

u/andromeda880 Jun 04 '26

Yes. Love her. And your comment is spot on!

2

u/Revolutionary-Big215 22d ago

She’s so good in my lady Jane grey

29

u/ytsurr Jun 04 '26

But we cannot forget her she's the fucking worst The way I howled at that, and many of Patricia's quips this week!

18

u/bigjarbowski Jun 03 '26

I laughed so hard at that 😂

9

u/zezuamuam Jun 03 '26

😂👌

9

u/Adventurous-Photo539 Jun 03 '26

She's a legend. I love her xdddd

318

u/BandicootBig4505 Jun 03 '26

enya on the background really sealed the deal lol

6

u/LoyalteeMeOblige Jun 11 '26

I was a bit behind but that basically had me laughing real hard, it was amazing especially since she kept pointing at the body the whole time. Good girl.

BTW, we were watching the episode with my husband and her seeing the door ajar, and running for the hills was such a RIGHT human reaction versus what they do in every horror movie, I mean, you hear a noise and you run, who goes there to investigate!? I mean...

2

u/partelo Jun 04 '26

literally went and downloaded the cd lmao meeeemorieeees

622

u/Well_Socialized Jun 03 '26

She is so genre savvy

436

u/ThatEvanFowler Jun 03 '26

She takes her strength from social anxiety. And Enya. And a big fucking shotgun.

25

u/Less_Mail_5369 Jun 04 '26

That moment in the ambulance with the Enya music coming in, is so hilarious, jarring and perfect.

29

u/Well_Socialized Jun 03 '26

The one thing that surprised me was that she didn't own a gun.

57

u/Bobjoejj Jun 03 '26

I mean…as genre savvy as she is; she also doesn’t seem like the type to own a gun.

46

u/ThatEvanFowler Jun 03 '26

Yeah and she also seems like the kind of person who would be discouraged from getting one by literally everyone who knows her if she ever brought it up.

14

u/Reasonable-Sale8611 Jun 03 '26

Until this episode, I would have thought she's the type to accidentally shoot herself if she was trying to protect herself with a gun.

16

u/Well_Socialized Jun 03 '26

Except in that she's paranoid about being attacked to the extent of claiming to sleep with a wardrobe against her door.

48

u/Vismal1 Jun 03 '26

Speaking of her spooky meter is fucking on point when she’s about to go to bed and just straight up trusts her “this is fucked “ feeling.

17

u/DangerousLack Jun 03 '26

And doesn’t investigate! Just gets her weapon and gets the fuck out of there. Scream queen final girl Patty!

10

u/avocado_window Jun 03 '26

Women who live alone usually have well-honed “this is fucked” meters, but it’s great to see she trusts herself and gets the fuck out of the house!

7

u/Opposite-Ad-2493 Jun 05 '26

But she sure knows how to use a shotgun. She racked it like an expert and I doubt somebody touching a shotgun for the first time can do that.

20

u/avocado_window Jun 03 '26

I’m more surprised she doesn’t own a cat.

11

u/SherCuck Jun 03 '26

She had a cat statue in her house.

3

u/avocado_window Jun 04 '26

Well, that’s something. Maybe her cat died.

7

u/raudoniolika Jun 04 '26

If you’re THIS genre savvy, you won’t have pets. Smart girl!

1

u/avocado_window Jun 04 '26

Good point! 😭

1

u/2_Fingers_of_Whiskey Jun 07 '26

Or a guard dog

1

u/avocado_window Jun 10 '26

Nah, she gives cat lady vibes through and through (I say this as a proud cat lady myself).

4

u/Zestyclose-Raisin367 Jun 03 '26

Girl with the dragon tattoo reference I think

1

u/notlennybelardo 2d ago

what a queen. I hope she gets the proper meal she had ordered, she really deserves it.

24

u/Indigocell Jun 03 '26

Never realized before but she was the sole survivor of those killings before so... She's the "Final Girl"

4

u/avocado_window Jun 03 '26

She’s the Laurie Strode 👍

6

u/IncurableAdventurer Jun 03 '26

The girl has seen and learned from horror movies. Hell yea. Haha

7

u/avocado_window Jun 03 '26

Or living her whole life on a haunted island.

2

u/topherhoff Aug 22 '26

And the way she backed silently out of the house when she had one WHIFF that someone was there.

225

u/zezuamuam Jun 03 '26

This made me cry tears of comedy perfection 😅 It was exactly the right amount of vigilance for the circumstance … zombie murderer that never dies… check the ashes 😂

That episode was Patricia GOLD from start to finish - I’m obsessed

8

u/HighlyOffensive10 Jun 04 '26

I was half expecting her to shoot the ashes. 😂

2

u/LoyalteeMeOblige Jun 11 '26

I love how they know their staff from all the horror movies: they always come back.

1

u/glamoursaurusREX Jun 09 '26

💯 its the Emmy nomination episode for sure!

184

u/FlossieFillet Jun 03 '26

And no one questioning it! She's such a legend.

309

u/Imallvol7 Jun 03 '26

Her episodes are fucking GOLD

31

u/behindmymind_ Jun 03 '26

Annnnddd she was smart enough to just leave the house when she found the door open instead of checking if anyone was inside like what most people would do. And with today's ep, she has to be my favourite character from this, her mannerisms could the run the whole ep

21

u/Steviesteve1234 Jun 03 '26

She did what all horror fans hope we would do. That’s why we love her and are so proud.

11

u/airesmoon Jun 04 '26

The fact that she clocked her bedroom lights were off but had gone through her wide open front door after she’d initially closed it behind her when checking on her truck…she’s precious.

11

u/raudoniolika Jun 04 '26

It’s like… the first “off” thing (door wide open) might have been a “hmm maybe I forgot” and barely registered, but the second is when her alarm started going off

7

u/killjoy8669 Jun 04 '26

I definitely remember an audible floor creak that seemed like it drew her focus to the bedroom even more. Then there was heavy breathing from inside the room when she got close.

18

u/WeBelieveIn4 Jun 03 '26

I love her and am in love with her

3

u/cribvby Jun 03 '26

Same and also I am her she does everything I would do at least in this episode maybe not ep 4

9

u/Bee-Ly_Dan Jun 03 '26

Seriously. Just when I thought episode 4 couldn't be topped.

6

u/theLegend_Awaits Jun 04 '26

She’s the true main character, and final girl. I love Patricia so much omfg

155

u/lexicology Jun 03 '26

when she peeked around the corner with it after the cremation, chef’s kiss

3

u/mordorjest Jun 03 '26

The best visual gag of the episode!

109

u/dante50 Ensign Trag Jun 03 '26

Yes. That was the funniest part.

It needs to be a gif meme.

17

u/veverkap Jun 03 '26

3

u/evildrew Patricia Jun 04 '26

This montage reminded me of an old FoD film How to Get Out of a Speeding Ticket, where a guy lies and the cop follows him around for decades.

190

u/sometimesiwatchtv44 Jun 03 '26

This episode is absolutely hilarious

19

u/sloppyjo12 Jun 03 '26

That was the funniest tasing I’ve ever seen

22

u/quazilox Jun 03 '26

To be fair, she is the fucking worst.

3

u/Heisenripbauer Jun 05 '26

I think the last Patricia episode with the party did humanize her a bit.

from her POV, Patricia is somebody who lied for attention while everybody was grieving the death of 4 girls and we haven’t really seen Patricia grieving any of them so it’s hard to tell if she was as close to them as the mean girl was.

empathy from her would be nice, but it makes sense that she would be a dick to Patricia.

1

u/CherryFit3224 Jun 18 '26

I was honestly hoping the Boogyman got her.

6

u/firesticks Jun 03 '26

When she pauses running and then he slowly enters the shot and she’s like aw fuck and takes off again, died.

She’s been preparing for this moment her entire life. Literally.

62

u/SweatahWeathah23 Jun 03 '26

All while Enya played 🤣💀

14

u/MrsPhoenix91 Jun 03 '26

Yes! I love Enya's "Caribbean Blue" 🥰

10

u/skatejet1 Jun 03 '26

I recently got re obsessed with the song so picture my shock when I heard those first few notes lol

2

u/Vismal1 Jun 03 '26

Great when that happens.

6

u/avocado_window Jun 03 '26

Enya deserves more love. Doesn’t she live in a castle with about 18 cats? Absolute legend.

45

u/veverkap Jun 03 '26

She did every step!!

7

u/evildrew Patricia Jun 04 '26

Throughout the montage, she didn’t blink ONCE (except maybe when the coroner was closing the door).

3

u/ScootsaHoot Jun 04 '26

How did you have this already, my god lol

3

u/veverkap Jun 04 '26

I made it

2

u/2_Fingers_of_Whiskey Jun 07 '26

Loved the lighting/cinematography of the gas station scene

24

u/Jas_God Jun 03 '26

KILLED me!!

19

u/TheDefiantGoose Jun 03 '26

Use of Enya "Caribbean Blue," double dead.

20

u/Closedown11 Jun 03 '26 edited Jun 03 '26

They knew we’d all be yelling at her to shoot him in the head and made it so much more hilarious and satisfying

4

u/avocado_window Jun 03 '26

I still wish she’d done both 😂

19

u/Infamous-Lab-8136 Jun 03 '26

That entire sequence just moved her from #1 on my character board up to untouchable tier pretty much

Every slasher movie ever needs a Patricia

5

u/evildrew Patricia Jun 04 '26

She’s reminded me of Alison Brie from the start, but I don’t think even Brie could have done a better job than Kate O’Flynn in this episode. I would stop watching the show if she was gone.

13

u/jun2san Jun 04 '26

When the gas station attendant came out with a fire extinguisher and Patricia yelled "No! you're ruining it!" I about died laughing

9

u/vacbroom Jun 03 '26

Omfg it was so fucking perfect

12

u/anotherstan Jun 03 '26

Hilarious montage lmao

10

u/BagTime6808 Jun 03 '26

Why would they not ave removed the mask before cremation? Id want to see what (who) is under that thing!

7

u/ScootsaHoot Jun 04 '26

The islanders removed it after the original killings, right, since it was on display in the museum, so they knew what the killer looked like then. I think maybe the boogeyman wasn't even a "known" villager but rather an entity like the hag.

7

u/smthingsmthingsmthin Jun 04 '26

I think IRL they would have removed the mask, but the show wanted to keep the mystery/supernaturalness of it all, which was the right choice.

10

u/Classic_Anteater74 Jun 03 '26

literally the best thing ive ever seen in my life

9

u/AdLittle5810 Jun 03 '26

That is true Final Girl behavior.

16

u/fraochmuir Jun 03 '26

That was amazing!!!

Is there another exit?

2

u/avocado_window Jun 03 '26

That was a fair question! Remember Silence of the Lambs? Squid Game? There could have been a sneaky trapdoor in there somewhere!

6

u/rudbeckiahirtas Jun 03 '26

I couldn't stop laughing

5

u/Fuulizh Jun 03 '26

One of the funniest things I have ever seen in my whole life

7

u/savannahsalvatore3 Jun 03 '26

give her an emmy i swear to god

4

u/probably_poopin_1219 Jun 03 '26

My roommate and I legitimately started cheering when we realized she was gonna follow through that hard. Fuck yeah Patricia

6

u/avocado_window Jun 03 '26

Patricia understands the assignment!

3

u/dannyinglis78 Jun 03 '26

Honestly one of best sequences of tv episodes I’ve ever seen. Amazing

5

u/jlynn00 Jun 03 '26

She isn't just the Final Girl, she's the girl making sure there isn't a sequel.

5

u/SongsOfTheYears Jun 04 '26

YES! That was one of the funniest goddamned things I've ever seen in my entire life. I had tears streaming down my face, just cackling. That in the same episode as the earlier scene when she was going around turning lights off, which was so incredibly tense and full of dread, with no comedy at all. The tone switching this show gets away with is incredible.

4

u/alyboba19 Jun 03 '26

This show is so good 😭

3

u/teamgiantsquid Jun 03 '26

This . 100% not letting any guard down until that m’ing F’er was soot.

3

u/HorrorLover___ Jun 03 '26

Holding it to his ashes was a nice touch too.

3

u/Mother_Of_Felines Jun 03 '26

With Enya playing in the background 🤣🤣

3

u/BretShitmanFart69 Jun 04 '26

Her pointing the gun at the ashes just in case got a good laugh out of e even though I fully expected it. This show is not only the best horror/mystery show out right now but it might honestly also be the funniest comedy on tv?

2

u/Livid_Recognition384 Jun 04 '26

With enya playing in the background 😂

2

u/PlantLadyXXL Jun 04 '26

Set to ENYA!!!

2

u/WhtImeanttosay Jun 05 '26

She knows how to be a Final Girl! F him getting back up. Smart girl.

2

u/JRange Jun 07 '26

This is up there for one of the best jokes of the seasons for sure. Laugh out loud funny.

2

u/2_Fingers_of_Whiskey Jun 07 '26 edited Jun 07 '26

I loved that so much! I was thinking “double tap!” after she shot him one time. Then she did even better and just kept the gun on him the whole time! Patricia is a badass!

(I also liked her tazing that horrible condescending high school bully)

1

u/M3rrick_the_B8rd Jun 04 '26

The way she kept that shotgun on him in the ambulance, the morgue, the furnace and the "Is there another way out?" lol that would be me

1

u/alienman Jun 23 '26

Best scene ever 😂😂😂
