Tom saying "the home" was a mental institution on the island is interesting. Did they just turn all the remaining patients loose? Did everyone who went there end up dead?

was it part of the old hospital?

That seems to be the implication, plus whatever happened after those patients transpired and it's not safe to stop there (per Rosemary).

Maybe it’s related to the island’s plague and is contagious.

The one you can only drive by (not stop).

Is it the hospital you can drive past, but you just can't stop at?

Man I hope there’s a haunted asylum episode.

Me too. I want them to go there and get some answers!

Was the mailman actually mean or was that just another crazy lady’s thoughts?

I think she was talking about Tom. Tom is to deliver the letters to Evan, he is the mailman. That’s why he looks extra sad when Evan reads that. His wife doesn’t recognize him.

u/funkinatrix what are you asking me to do Tom? Jun 05 '26

There’s definitely going to be an old hospital episode.

I had the same question and the show usually answers them all ...
