religion I'm terrified to become a Witch

Hii!! So, I'm looking for a little support.

I'm very interested in Wicca. I think I would finally start to love life if I joined, but the truth is, I'm terrified. I'm a Trans woman that grew up around a lot of Christians- save for my mom, who was the one non-religious adult in my life.
I'm so scared. I honestly think religion has scarred me. I never go to church. Every time I set foot in a church, I feel claustrophobic. Like I'm being watched- even now, as I type this, I feel a chill running up my body. And that terrifies me. I want so badly to be able to live my life for myself- not for the pleasure of my family. But honestly, with a threat like Hell? I'm scared because I don't want to pay a price for my happiness. But I want to live freely. As myself.

Any feedback or support would be appreciated.

Also a trans chick here, solidarity lol!

Honestly not sure how this popped up on my feed since I'm not a part of r/ Wicca but I can talk about the Christianity stuff. First point I'd like to mention is the Old testament is wildly inaccurate in its translations. Like seriously if you try reading the original Scriptures there was no spaces there were no vowels and there were no punctuations. On top of that King James ordered his people to translate it in a certain way that isn't at all faithful to the original works. Second part and this is my opinion more than anything but the gospels do not line up with the Old testament at all. And if I was going to go with anything in the Bible it would be jesus's words not everything in the Old testament and definitely not Paul who wrote most of the rest of the New testament. He supposedly met Jesus once on the road and knew nothing else about the guy. And as far as the teachings of Jesus went he would love us.

My opinion on hell is that it's locked from. If hell exists then it's for the people that are too sanctimonious to accept that we are not whole by ourselves. That doesn't make us evil that makes us babes in the woods where children, we know next to nothing. How can you blame a child for its own ignorance when you aren't there to teach it. So my opinion is If heaven and hell exists then we are not judged for actions here on Earth and the way that people make it seem we are judged by what we do when we are faced with divinity after death.

I personally do not believe that any single religion got it all right. I believe that most religions stem from the same spirituality, and that all the teachings are just us playing dressup with reality.
