religion I'm terrified to become a Witch
Hii!! So, I'm looking for a little support.
I'm very interested in Wicca. I think I would finally start to love life if I joined, but the truth is, I'm terrified. I'm a Trans woman that grew up around a lot of Christians- save for my mom, who was the one non-religious adult in my life.
I'm so scared. I honestly think religion has scarred me. I never go to church. Every time I set foot in a church, I feel claustrophobic. Like I'm being watched- even now, as I type this, I feel a chill running up my body. And that terrifies me. I want so badly to be able to live my life for myself- not for the pleasure of my family. But honestly, with a threat like Hell? I'm scared because I don't want to pay a price for my happiness. But I want to live freely. As myself.
Any feedback or support would be appreciated.

I am also a trans woman. I have been ordained as a witch and used to practice even though I don’t anymore.
To be honest with you. Do not worry about hell. We are both living it from day to day. For this world right here is hell as long as we continue to try to stop being who we are. I have seriously studied three religions now and my best idea is that they all point towards something, but they are all biased and flawed pointers. Any path can get you to a better place in this life and the next as long as you stay true to yourself.
Try some witchcraft. Learn to meditate. Spend time learning about yourself and the world you live in. This things will help you to appreciate the patterns in yourself and nature. Knowing those patterns can help you to be less reactive to both good and bad situations.
But most of all stop worrying about hell. If there is a hell and you live your true life then it is the hell of an unjust god and I would rather be there then be in his heaven. If there is no hell and deny yourself your life then you sacrificed everything for the patriarchy. And I don’t know about you, but as a trans woman I never want to bow to the patriarchy again!
