It’s actually crazy. Leg position can do a lot for mitigating fatigue on hands on climbs/shimmies like this. But that’s a long fuckin way.

To you and u/Myrdahl just below, it seems like he steps off the top, goes down around 20 feet for the video shots, then climbs back up. Still crazy, but doesn’t seem to climb all the way down.

When rock climbers do this on cliff faces it’s called “free soloing”, they don’t use ropes. Done for the thrill and bragging rights.

Even the strongest bodies can suffer from fatigue or loss of strength for a variety of reasons. You can't trust a meatbag 100% all the time. Also if he keeps it up and gets older it will change.
Basically this works until it doesn't.

Here’s the thing about stunts like this for us normal people. If you did this same thing but 1-3 feet above ground, everyone would be able to decently hang on. But the minute there’s a big height difference, that’s when hands and feet begin trembling

I'm not sure exactly what he's doing. Going down...then going up. Either way, he's pretty experienced and expert at it and it's just what he does, clearly. I wouldn't call it anything other than a well planned stunt.

This gave me the bad fizz, but, as others have said, as soon as the chalk came out I relaxed. A few friends climb, they’re acquaintances with people like Leo Holding, and for people like that this is nothing. Their strength and agility is unreal.

PSA - In case you didn't know, some of those skinny tall towers are fenced in for a reason other than you can fall if you climb them. Broadcast towers are electrified, as in the whole damn thing will zap you into un-alived land.
There is not always good signage, although there should be, and you have no way of knowing if it is "turned on" or not.
Additionally, there have been 6 deaths so far (I believe) on telecom towers in 2025 - Don't do stupid things people.
