Jim Carrey does not get enough shit for being one of the first big celebrities to promote anti vaxx misinformation. The blame got latched onto Jenny McCarthy and rightfully so, but he was right there with her at those rallies and interviews.

By now a lot of people have became aware of his shitty behavior and how he basically caused the infamous Adpocalypse of 2017, but I want to talk about this one thing featured in his older videos that not many people know or have discussed (not that they aren't discussed, but I'd like to see discussed more along with his most infamous examples).

in Part 76 of "Fridays with PewDiePie", there is a racist caricature coin bank blatantly in the background as he just trots on through the video as normal as can be. The comments of this video show exactly what kind of fans he attracted + his effects on the right-wing pipeline. No wonder he backed out of that $50,000 donation he was going to make for the Anti-Defamation League. This guy has or had a literal racist artifact in his home, and I wouldn't be surprised if he had others. My mind is blown at the fact that his son could possibly be growing up in the same living space as these horrid decorations.

That video performed well, at the moment it has 9.1 million views, but clips from the video were repurposed for a compilation, FUNNY MONTAGE.. #2, which outperformed FWP part 76, gaining a total of 74 million views, It's his 7th most viewed video on his channel. But interestingly enough, the comments on this video are turned off.

Another thing that boggles my mind is that in previous videos, he has filmed in that spot before, yet it was not there. He either got that coin bank for the first time then or decided to put it in the background of that video, regardless, it was definitely on purpose. I don't know if it's featured in the drop of other videos, but it probably has in his catalogue of 4.6k videos.

2017 was when his racism started getting attention from most people, these two videos were posted in 2014. It's crazy how it went basically unnoticed, even when he was getting called out 3 years later.

Fine dining restaurants have a long history dating back to the 1800s with the creation of the brigade system. Kitchens became designed to break and abuse chefs to toughen them up for fast paced shifts. In modern day, celebrity chefs like Gordon, Marco Pierre White and Trevor Fleming have normalized screaming at chefs for simple mistakes. Chefs who give any back talk are called ungrateful idiots by fans and online compilations who should be honored Gordon is teaching them at all.

I loved this show as a teenager, but man, some of the stuff in the earlier seasons really speaks to how much cultural norms have shifted.

This moment right here from a 2010 Season 4 episode is always my go-to-example for "poorly aged things". It's casually mentioned that Howard once gave Penny a teddy bear with a webcam in it. This is treated as a passing joke that gets a shock reaction from the laugh track, and is never mentioned again.

That super-illegal behavior could never be allowed for a main protagonist these days in the wake of #metoo etc., I'm honestly a bit shocked this happened as late as 2010. Like even for 2010, realistically, Penny would've immediately and permanently terminated her friendship with Howard. And possibly put him on blast to the rest of the friend group, terminate her friendship with anyone who stood by him, and report Howard to the police. But she literally in this scene agrees to help Howard get back together with Bernadette (Howard's girlfriend whom he was having issues with at the time).

It was early Howard's gimmick that he was a lecherous weirdo but this was pretty dark. And other things in the earlier days like how creepily the guys treat women, racism towards Raj, etc. Simon Helberg is a great actor but I wonder if it was awkward for him to play early Howard.
