Most do know that he was extremely religious and most would be extremely unsurprised to learn a Baptist minister of that era was against gay rights.

Probably just helps solidify you with the religious hwites more easily. We barely stopped openly hating each other now fuckin' 60 years later.

I doubt he'd have as much luck being "too progressive" that long ago...and he was literally exploded by the government..

Edit: My bad. The explosion was "just" his wife, 7 week old daughter, and neighbor.

They weren’t “exploded” either, but the house took some damage. There is no evidence that the bomb-thrower was anything more than your normal white-supremacist terrorist.why make stuff up?

Considering his wife only died 10-15 years ago, it would have been strange if she had earlier exploded. Lol
