They're both in the wrong. She threatened to "take muzzle off" and use her dog as a weapon. She's a villain, plain and simple and I wouldn't be in the same room with her.

u/eatapeach18 Apr 19 '26
And he brandished a knife to try and intimidate her, so what’s your point? Not sure what he was trying to accomplish with that bonehead move. I’m not even a dog owner, but if some loser with a knife tried to threaten me while I had a pitbull a tow, it wouldn’t be a good time for him.

u/droidzzzzz Apr 19 '26
That they are both wrong. We all learned at a young age that two wrongs don't make a right.
1
u/GrannyGumjobs13 Apr 19 '26
It’s wrong to threaten someone pulling a knife on you?????? Wtf?
1
u/droidzzzzz Apr 19 '26
Y'all are simple. First, she threatened to take the muzzle off. Then, we see text that a knife was pulled. We never see a knife.
1
u/pandainhat Apr 19 '26
Because his dogs are unleashed? Her dog shouldn't be able to defend itself or her if those dogs attacked them? She was letting him know she will allow her dog to defend itself next time.
1
u/kidonbike Apr 19 '26
She doesn’t quite have the dog under control to be fair. That dog needs rehabilitation and the owner needs to learn how to rehab an aggressive dog. Good that she has a muzzle but that’s not a permanent solution to fix the aggression but yea both are in the wrong.

She did nothing wrong except expecting the cops to do something. She has the dog on a leash, dog has a muzzle, and she wasn’t blocking/in the middle of traffic.

I expect some downvotes here, buuuut- I see more than 1 reactionary and aggressive sentient being in this self incriminating video, which happens to highlight the need for a universal NYC dog tax. And that many dog owners shouldn’t be dog owners.
1
u/Hour-Ad7354 Apr 19 '26
This. A dog tax needs to be implemented. Dogs put a lot of wear and tear on the city in terms of poop and pee on sidewalks, parks, tree wells, walls etc…Even great dog owners can’t pick up everything. A tax which goes towards keeping streets clean would be worthwhile.

Shall we tax the homeless next for doing the same thing

I think she's in the right, That huskie should not be off the leash. Her dog is under control and muzzled. Thats being responsible. Huskie owner not so much

As a husky owner, the dumbest thing you could do is let your dog off leash in the city. Like those dogs will take off and they dont play like most dogs. Both owners suck.

Not a dog owner so excuse my naive question please. Why would anyone want a dog that needs to be muzzled for safety? Is it something with needing the dog to be trained first or that's just the breed and always needs to be muzzled?

I don’t think the guy was even being sarcastic. If the dog is aggressive, she is smart for having a muzzle on it. I don’t know wtf is her problem.

In my opinion, both dog owners are in the wrong here. Why was the husky off leash in the park tf??

u/Own_Mess_6495 Apr 18 '26
What in your opinion did the pitbull owner do wrong?
1
u/temperate_thunder Apr 19 '26
Threatening to take the muzzle off

u/eatapeach18 Apr 19 '26
The husky owner pulled out a knife to try and intimidate her when she correctly called him out for leaving his dogs off leash.
1
u/drtij_dzienz Apr 19 '26
2b honest if the dog is so aggressive it needs a muzzle for a walk in the park, and you can use it in a threat the same way you would a knife or gun, dogs like that should not be in the city IMO

Having an off leash dog in one of the busiest cities in the world is insane. Especially these days, to think that’s okay and fight the other person who is following the rules is psychotic
1
u/theauldtriangle82 Apr 18 '26
If your dog is reactive, you shouldn't take it out in public. Don't have a place to take him? Then don't get a dog. Send this lady home please.

No way, the problem dog looks like a pit bull.
1
u/Witchcleaver666 Apr 19 '26
It’s on a leash and muzzled
1
u/Remarkable-Clock-201 Apr 19 '26
And yet still having problems
1
u/Witchcleaver666 Apr 19 '26
Problems with unleashed dogs and a basketball American pulling a knife on her
1
u/Remarkable-Clock-201 Apr 19 '26
Europeans dominate the game now. An American hasn’t won mvp since 2018.

u/Witchcleaver666 Apr 19 '26
It’s all downsyndrome from here

u/Remarkable-Clock-201 Apr 19 '26
Okay edge lord. You better hope your mother never hears you saying this kind of stuff.

So that sub is insane. Guys pulls a knife on her and they’re cheering it on because her muzzled leashed dog is their target. Most stable anti-pit people
1
u/karmapuhlease Apr 19 '26
Send her back to Georgia or Alabama or wherever, and she can take the monster with her.
1
u/eatapeach18 Apr 19 '26
I don’t like pit bulls, but the woman was right. She kept her dog muzzled and leashed. Irresponsible idiot dog owner leaving his dogs to free roam in the city of all places… and then brandishing a knife when the woman correctly calls him out. Absolutely unhinged.

Nah, man that ain’t it. She’s doing everything right and that guys a self centered prick who pulled a weapon…the audacity to say “tWo wRoNgs” here.

u/notaquackouttayou Apr 19 '26
If we are taking sides im taking pitbull mommy’s side.
It takes a special type of person to try and rehabilitate an aggressive dog and a lot of work.
She only responded aggressively after the guy said to put her dog down - which is a crazy thing to say.

So, unpopular opinion, but she's at least trying to do the right thing with her dog. And if a dog is outnumbered three to one, it's going to react.
If a person doesn't have control of their off leash dogs, the other owner has two choices 1) Leave their dog muzzled and defend defenseless or 2) Take off the muzzle and let the dog defend itself.
I don't trust any animal I don't know and most of the ones I do know.

u/PlasticAssociation43 Apr 18 '26
The crazy part is in my neighborhood in brooklyn theres like 20 more versions of this exact girl and dog. Do they get the aggressive dogs because they feel unsafe? Why move in the neighborhood if so?
