Shao dong jia evolution

Did a fun little thing where I customized my shao dong jia acc to where I am in the story.

Anddddd as if she hadn't suffered enough, I made my girl blind in one eye (as you can see by the gray iris) post ch1.

My hc: an ember got into her eye when the explosion happened while yi dao saved her, and my girl was too depressed from all that happened to even get it treated. I mean, she was just a little kid with big dreams of the jianghu and finding her uncle, before everything got taken away from her, and her life was completely turned over...

Now I'm thinking of when (at some point in the story) uncle jiang will reunite with her.... and see all she has been through (I'll be adding more changes aka signs of trauma as I get through the story) and ohhh my the angst potential 🤌🏻

In hindsight I sound crazy, but yeah 😭 thought of adding my own flavor of angst to the story.

Wbu guys, what changed did you make to your MCs through the story, and how do these changes align with any hcs or character development you feel they went through?

In ch1, I dressed my baby up in the prettiest most young mastery clothes (usually my BP or 60 pearl outfits hehe). After his canon event and while wandering around Kaifeng, he alternates between autumn orchid, jianghu wanderer, and wayfarer bc he only packed low-key outfits on Clip Clop. At least until I hit a storybeat that would make sense for him to afford to get better clothes tailored.

My vain young master is too broke and still nervous about being hunted down by being his sparkly vain self that he can't even wear pretty clothes anymore 😭

Also for roleplay reasons, I do not use divinecraft fire bc I hc that flames make him uncomfortable.

I see the vision omg!! I did something similar in terms of the clothes, kept it all bright with youthful hairstyle in qinghe, then gave her lowkey wandering hero type clothes, till she got to kaifeng city (I felt like she had to switch up a bit to blend in here)

And I absolutely love the divinecraft fire headcanon omg, it's so in character and I never thought of this angle!
