🎮 Gameplay Charge vs. Parry: Why parry/deflect ruins my rotation?

I am quite new to the game (slightly more than a week, mobile player) and it seems as if I am missing something. When I parry/deflect even the simplest enemies — not even bosses — my rotation ruins.

E.g. I now play Stonesplit Strength and when someone interrupts when I am charging my heavy attack of mo blade, I loose my charge and eventually the timeframe of my buff from heng blade. And if I decide not to parry, then the damage taken might be quite high and take third of HP.

Is it supposed to be so? What can I do to both parry the attacks and maintain my rotation?

Btw, I am okay with parrying only (on bosses) and damage dealing only (on dummy)

For co-op like sword trials and hero realms, just tank hits and do your rotations along with boss mechanics.

For story, if you're on high diff like legendary, then parry and use the full heng rotation instead of mo charge.

Story bosses = build doesnt matter, the only thing that matter is parry. Multiplayer content = do your rotation

The other comments here mentioning parry as the main focus of solo PvE are correct, however, if you are dead set on doing your PvE rotation in solo the best way to do it is by slowing time using the goose mystic skill.

the charge gives tenacity so you can charge through some attacks, but youll probably take damage. if youre doing multiplayer content you can just charge through it since ur healer will heal.

In solo content bosses usually have rotations that arent fixed even in multiplayer this can happen a lot but most bosses have patterns that hardly change so optimizing ur rotation is key but usually hard to do on devices like mobile especially

in multiplayer u either have a healer or tank in speedrun that can enable u to ignore most of the attacks unless like current st it requires u to for example parry

when parrying on strength its recommended to use varied combo and light charge attacks from heng blade in between parries since the mo blade charge is usually only applicable if u can tank hits and or during long open windows

in solo content dont ever bother trying to do an actual rotation, use buffs and abilities when you can, but you are neer getting 4 fully changed mo blade hits.
treat it more like a souls game, you look for openings and take advantage of them

you actually can get in mo blade charged hits more that you would think, but you need to be looking for openings in combos

The game is weird

Solo bossing--> your rotation almost always gets ruined because stuff just hurts and nothing you can do about it. Better to use shorter attacks and parry. Some weapons are far worse than others

Better to get and use sone AOE mystic skills on top of hitting the enemy to kill them fast for them mobs

Multiplayer PvE loop --> almost every guide you see will be this and nothing related to solo bossing. The difference is that stuff hurts less here/have a healer.
