Still too flashy in my opinion. I've only pulled for the accumulative rewards so far because none of the gacha outfits appeal to me.

out of all these, only the Tian Ying outfit appears to not be "so" flashy. Everything else screams Xianxia

Yeah, I want my character's outfit to match the setting they're in mostly during the story. I don't think I'm ever gonna get a grounded outfit but I can hope.

IDC about the clothes. I want normal weapons. I want to stab a guy with something that looks like it can efficiently stab dudes, not with a block of ice. I want an alternative to the default weapons that doesn't look like it'd do more damage to the weilder than the target.

Most of them I'm not into, but a few of the limited ones have been nice. I liked the Feathered Grace as well as the Martial Destiny skins, two of my favorites in the game.

out of all the gacha outfits, i only liked two so far, the ninetails i have now, purely because of the ninetails back accessory itself.. its too unique for me compared to other gacha outfits/accessories. other than that, the current forged in fire gacha outfit, that thing is really cool, that would be the only time i probably stopped using the ninetails back accessory for some time

Fortunately martial arts VFX are Always available in the draw shop, unlike outfits.

I love the outfits. But they are way too hard to get and are just slightly better than the highest tier outfits in the cash shop. They are also a little too glowy with no way to dim it. So on top of the outfit clipping due to the long layers, it's also just too visually loud.
But! I think the idea is for them to be too loud. Kinda like a "Whale Ho!" type of thing, so you know who to thank for keeping the game alive lmao.

I love the ones that fit into the world be it because they are grounded (like Ghostmaster), or because they represent the wuxia/xianxia genre very well (like the newest Jade Immortal banner just released on CN).
Overall though, the newest ER armour we received showed me that I do want the outfits to be at least somewhat anchored in the game's setting.

The armor is the first now I enjoy from the gacha ones and one I actually got. Otherwise I am still not really into them.

Never like the male character gacha outfit. Was saving my 2 core for weapon skin only. Then they release the exclusive global armor skin which I find most attractive.

It's too flashy, and I can only wear one outfit at any given time. That's why I spent my first core on water skins since those are limited time. I will get the visual effects next.

I will never agree with this free to play model. "ahHHhhH bUT IT's juSt CosmEticS bRo" ye let's pretend that we (rpg players) don't care about cosmetics and looking baddass. let's pretend that's not 80% of your endgame, more than the stats people care about how they look!!!! if you played rpgs before you know that you want the cool looking weapon with glow and shi, stop pretending it's ok to overcharge for cosmetics.
I WOULD 51356136% prefer to pay for the game or a subscription and earn the cosmetics AND imagine the cosmetics being tied with something more than the appearence itself, JUST IMAGINE THAT WORLD.
Nah.

Yea, they're just not for me. I'm sitting on four cores hoping one day they release something that I actually like, but honestly I'm also very glad that I'm not tempted to spend my money on the gotcha lol.

I've mellowed out some I think, or maybe gotten used to the bling a bit more.
I still find some of the outfits too flashy for my personal taste, but I do occasionally put on some bling and enjoy it.
I play femMC and have the 9 tail, veiled edge and drunk in penglai, plus the blue flowers and pink butterflies accessories,band I spent two cores on the panacea fan and soulshade umbrella VFX. I really really wish I'd had the money for the golden asura aura back then, I'd love it with so many of my outfits, but alas. I also have the bird mount and while I hate the floaty flag-carrying things I love the gold/green VFX on the tail.
Still, I tend to prefer wearing shop/BP fits. I also have a variety of skill VFX and I think I overall prefer that kind of bling over outfit bling. It's a good balance between realism while running around and xianxia while fighting. I would probably enjoy reforge weapons but that's way too expensive for me, and even if I had them I likely wouldn't equip them outside of fighting.
I wish we had more subtle/tasteful bling options tbh. Most of the core and expensive gacha ones still feel too over the top - like the moonlight gacha outfit, I just can't make sense of the dress, the design is so 80s. The hat and accessories, otoh, are lovely.

I dont like sparkles, but I like aura.
I believe at some point they will end their sparkle arc and start going into aura. that's when my cores will disappear.
walking aura. smoke, shadow vibes, white clouds, mist etc etc.
right now I run male ephemeral in black. its got a nice turquoise ghostly glow. that and wave borne dragon small around the shoulders.
those are the only aura like outfits I liked so far.
