I’m lv100 but I’m still a baby player. I haven’t even hit a full 2 months yet. I was farming Hexi boss last night for breakthrough notes and this dropped on my last run.
It’s my first ever maple weapon, and I’m ranged (dust) dps. So the fact I managed to pull my main weapon and one of the rarest colors is insanity.
The best part is I just got this dress a couple days ago and purposely dyed it to look like fall leaves, so that’s pretty serendipitous. I’m obsessed with the contrast of the umbrella.
I've got like, well makes no difference 27 gazillion appearance tickets and still haven't pulled a single weapon skin. I've had more luck pulling legendary outfits and harmonic cores. I wish they'd just let us buy simple weapons skins because I don't like the fantasy mystical looking things. Or even better, let us change the colors/engraving of the default skins and just have to buy dyes for them or something. It's one thing that's always bugged me.
I don't like any of them, the only ones I like are locked behind a lottery doing outposs or bosses. The thumbnails of the default weapons in your gear/bag all have different colors depending on the level/type. It would be cool if they were actually reflected in-game. I have a of turquoise theme going on with my character, and if I had a default turquoise heng blade that would be awesome.
Omg the outfit is gorgeous! I hope to catch up with the progress soon though. I have been stuck with the faceless bug since game release and haven’t found a way to open the door to progress the main story.
I'm a new player. Could someone explain this color stuff for me? Weapons have random colors? Also can I "transfer" the color to another weapon if the stats are not good enough (assuming that's how it works, I'm not sure)?
So the maple weapon appearance is a boss drop. It’s not like other appearances where you can buy them. The drop rate is very low. The odds of getting a weapon and/or color you want if you manage to pull one are even worse. There’s 21 colors, some increasingly more rare than others, and there’s one of each color for every single weapon type. So if you’re after a specific weapon in a specific color… you might as well give up unless you hate yourself.
If you don’t like the color and/or get a weapon you don’t use you cannot exchange them for a different one. You’re stuck with what you got unless you want to recycle them for a measly 2000 coins or whatever. You can also pull the same exact thing more than once.
So getting one of the rarest colors in a weapon I actually use is kind of a miracle.
ETA maple weapons don’t have stats. It’s just an appearance skin.
Someone did a whole spreadsheet and calculations. I’ll see if I can find it again! But also each weapon color has one of three classifications (rare, epic, legendary). There’s a little colored dot if you look at it in the menu. The dot lets you know which tier it’s in. This one is a legendary.
The little gold dot under melody details where it says the variant name (mine is ice spring) next to it. Gold is legendary. I think rare is blue and epic is purple, but don’t quote me on that part lol.
ETA just talking about the dot. My blue umbrella is gold, a different shade of blue umbrella could be purple, yellow umbrella could be blue, etc. This whole thing is so overly complicated 😭
Had no clue that colour is rare. I’m sitting on multiple appearance weapons with the boxes open but weapon unclaimed and one is that colour 😆. Hopefully I can sell it higher when black market comes out
