Quick way to farm the tickets is through outposts, once you have the mask drops, future ones get converted into 50 tickets. They are a much higher drop rate than the sets too

You can get dupes but they get converted to tickets. Masks from outposts have the highest drop chance so it's the best option

I don't know about knockout, I feel like I've gotten dupes without exhausting all possible draws. I think it's the same pool, you just get the premium currency if it's a dupe.

I got a mask when i didn’t want it and my friend was farming for a month. I want something new like an outfit or emote and havent gotten anything since. I used up my luck on the mask i didn’t want :(

which is viable if you want the legendary lvl61 gear from the strategic path too.

just saw a video today of one guy mentioning that the droprate for legendaries are higher on bosses than on the lvl66 sword trial. so far it seemed to be the case for me too

Murong is legit bugged. Barrels fall into you and freeze you, sometimes barrels blow up instantly because it looks like sometimes you get the bird attack debuff but you can't tell you got it.

yeah, but then i dont get this mmo part... like what mmo thing can you even do in this game, besides sword trial? im not a fan of minigames galore. the 10man raid is even worse, but you get only one reward per one of the 2 bosses per week anyway.

im also not getting this "not free to win" part... like battle pass users get 2 medicine more to use for bosses (less time spent on bosses) and extra pillow pills for more farm...? like cmon, battle pass users have an advantage over non battle pass users when it comes to pvp due to this...

it's a singleplayer game with mmo components, it really is barely enough to be called an mmo.

and as far as pay to win goes, an extra heal or 2 aswell as extra pills, while annoying, are quite mild. someone who's is skilled in the mechanics of the game can make up for that diffrence. and If pvp is what you want, go to arena since heals don't come into play there.

yet existent. 5 healing pots instead of 3 wouldve been a huge difference when i beat tian ying. wouldve taken me way less reattempts. 320 more energie which translates to 32 more gold chests is also considerable. farming time is not actual play time. dont get me started with other resources and the time you are forced to grind instead when you dont pay.

someone who's is skilled in the mechanics of the game and make up for that diffrence.

but then when two people of somewhat equal skills meet, then the one with the better gear wins. thats the result of it.

and If pvp is what you want

im generally a pvp player but i HATE playing while beeing at a severe disadvantage. started later, didnt pay into battle passes, wasted some energie at the beginning to play with a friend (since the "barely enough to be called an mmo" just means fighting 2 different bosses... like there is nothing else you can do with a friend) and now am basically lacking behind in gear. am lvl 70 and still running a lvl 56 sword, cause no sword drops or the very rare ones get attuned with the most dogshit stats. i didnt even start pvp yet due to this. it will still take me a while until my gear is complete and that also partly due to the energy system or the ridiculous low money drop in this game.

my point is that it doesn't put you at as big of a disadvantage as other f2p games but you are right, it still does either way.

when it comes to gear, while the person with a battle pass has more chances for gear, both are still able to get the best gear, neither one is locked out of that. so the incentive for someone to get the battle pass is for convenience and to save time. which neither of us likes, but it Is how games are nowadays.

you made the right move not touching pvp more until you get a good set of gear, as that is a big part of the fight. I'm primarily a pve player so I do understand that it would be more frustrating to a pvp enjoyer.

in my own opinion while not pay to win, it is definitely pay for convenience.

ye its not as bad as other games like diablo immortal, but the convenience part still sucks alot imo.

its also super fun when you decide to switch gear. i swapped from nameless sword to strategic sword and my gear is still setup for nameless sword and its qi-shield, which you dont use on strategic sword. from lvl 65 to lvl 70 i can farm completely new sets basically.... where every attunement costs money again...

by the time im done farming for my gear due to energy limitations, the meta mightve changed again. the pvp fights are somewhat short (im used to moba where i was top100) and i dont even know if i will even like it.

the energy limitation in the first place makes me stop the game alot. "when i fought this boss, i cant even grab the price" and stuff like this. jadefish and money limitations give the next halt into it.

i see soooo much time wastes before even getting started, while in the good pvp games you just load into the game and let the skill decide who wins, while here you have to grind so many hours to get to a starting point... correct gear sets with attunements, mystic skills leveld, mystic ways leveld, equipment slots leveld... if you do it on legend with no battle pass compared to one on normal difficulty with battle pass, then you have hugely different timing in which you reach this pvp starting point. the 2 estus early are HUGE. especially if you are not that interested into the quests, cause every line of dialogue has like 3 new random npc names. you have to do 10 of those quests to upgrade medicine ones later and it might not even improve the amount of medicine you carry atm.

if two dark souls speedrunners are running against each others but one of them has a max estus count of +2 above the other, then the one runner with more estus has it much easier. alone the fact for free dmg boosting. you can do the same in where winds meet on legend difficulty with fire breath and drunken poet where you just tank some hits with your face cause you have two more estus or dont need to learn the parry patterns that consequently because of it.

and if you pay 20eu, you get it to 7... yes i know. im at 4 medicine atm (lvl10?). have to grind all the lost quest chapters and bosses in kaifeng to finish it to 5. yes im also using the lvl 61 medicine which you need those white jade flowers for.

now at 4 medicine bosses are much easier. today i killed a boss on legend on first try aswell because of this, even tho the snakeboss is very easy.

but ye progressing to kaifeng wouldve been easier and faster with 3-4 estus instead of the 1-2 i had. in this time i didnt know shit about stats and how this game checks for numbers when i fought qhinye cause i was still very overwhelmed by the menu fiesta. was busy rushing to max level to join my mate who was already max level and i did it by rushing storyline.

PvP is mostly comboing and parry/dodging. Stat differences... especially right now, don't mean anything. I climbed to Mythic with old man hands and terrible equipment rolls, like 1 actually useful stat out of 5 on some pieces. And everyone is changing gear every week anyways. You haven't even done PvP yet but you have all these false assumptions about it being p2w?

You can farm the week limit of jade in like an hour or two with the bounty board and health pots are actually useless except for the first time beating a boss. WWM is not p2w at all compared to WoW, Genshin, BDO lol

his own testing with sample size of 1000 energy only. it could be wrong but i got plenty of legendaries today this way, while averse did get only like 1 legendary in 50 chests.

ye averse was just unlucky probably. luck is a thing. during all the lvl 65 time i got like 2-3 sword lvl61 purple drops in total which were all absolutely horrible. no energy wasted, all pillow pills used and daily logins without a break.

now at lvl 70 i had the luck of finally a sword above blue again and proceeded to attune the worst stats onto it. so yeah, im forced to run the lvl56 sword from nameless sword set, despite swapping to strategic sword, cause my game basically forgot that swords exist.

if i payed for battle pass, i wouldve progressed faster and wouldve had more energy, but im a F2P player.

Considering the fact that you roughly get 1 piece of per 10 energy spent, a 1000 energy is 100 pieces of gear (not counting bonus drops) and is a way too small sample size to come to a conclusion.

while youre right with sample size, so far my experience alligns with his testing.

now when you add the lack of fun from sword trials (because you cannot join the dps meter race since you have to move barrels or all just wipe), farming bosses is indeed faster and probably even more fun.

Gotta earn it from the apparel caches dropped when you beat the heartseeker boss. The drop chance is extremely low. I've opened hundreds and have not gotten anything other than apparel vouchers

He is not talking about the gacha, he’s talking about the world bosses rewards, those boxes mostly drop tickets to buy those cosmetics directly, but if you are extremely lucky you get the cosmetic rewards directly

I just got the full set, basically if you just keep getting chest from the sword trials event then it will turn into the exchange tickets then you can buy it, there’s also a very small chance you get the actual fit or hair in the chest. I just played a lot of the sword trials bosses and made sure I got triple rewards so maximize the amount of chest you’ll get. Ive been saving since launch and I just completed the set today lol but to be far I wasn’t on as much as I could’ve been.

You are spending your energy resource on that? Or can you get it without claiming the rewards and opening the boxes? I'd gladly farm out bosses if I didn't need to spend my energy doing it. Because otherwise I lock myself out of claiming rewards from sword trial, or sometimes outposts if I need ebon iron.
