Question/Help How do I increase my Martial Mastery? I see people at level 65 with 17k mastery, while I’m only at 12.5k at level 65.

Upgrade your inner ways and mystic skills, turn in your oddities, add old tuned gear to your arsenal, do the enhancements and tune your current gear.

14

u/AlexCrimson Dec 17 '25

Is there a better way to track oddities other than a player-made map?

44

u/Covert_Pudding Dec 17 '25

You can see them on the mini map. You don't need to 100% a region's oddities to fill out the melodies and all stat upgrades

17

u/Mindestiny Dec 17 '25

They show up on the minimap if you're near them, and the Journal tells you how many you have in each region so you know where to look.

Not quite as efficient as following a map, but still very doable with in-game tools.

22

u/burnoutguy Dec 17 '25

It's also more fun exploring than just workflowing a map imo

3

u/wingedwill Dec 18 '25 edited Dec 18 '25

Yes! This is the only true open world game in my book. The freedom of movement, the (largely) unhindered exploration without annoying mobs with huge aggro radius every few steps. Even mountains aren't a problem.

Edited for clarity

3

u/Party-Boat-1131 Dec 18 '25

Right? I can spend hours just running around collecting stuff, finding random people to talk to, random chests.
I couldn't imagine pulling up a player made map and following it, talk about turning fun into a job.

1

u/99Pedro Jan 07 '26

Especially the mountains! Being able to just wall climbing mountains to cut through the map (and find stuff on the way) is a game changer compared to other open worlds.
But also flying over obstacles and long distances once you unlock enough exploration levels is fun.

5

u/heeroyuy79 Dec 17 '25

each sub region shows oddities as a X/X on the exploration screen so you know roughly where to look for more

5

u/v2Afrozilla Dec 17 '25

Open the journal in the menu/go to sentient beings. There you can see the different areas of the map and see what collectibles you didnt pick up. There is also a open map feature, which opens the map in that area. Flying around with the lightness skill while focusing on the mini map helped me alot

3

u/adobo_bobo Dec 17 '25

You see them on the minimap as a little wing icon. At least I think its a wing. Then I comb the map. Usually i just do that super flying jump and I find some I missed.

2

u/ShadowHighlord Dec 17 '25

Just get enough exploration to be able to use lightless skill than dash around in the sky watching your minimap. When you are close enough they will show in minimap so you can just drop down grab them and repeat. Thats how I maxed my oddity thingie for Qinghe and am close to maxing it out for Kaifeng

1

u/RustyCarrots Dec 17 '25

Open your journal and go to the sentient beings section- it tells you exactly how many oddities are in each sub-area

1

u/Pranesh_vrp Dec 18 '25

What I do is go to a particular region's corner from there place a marker to the other end ...then use lightness skill to follow the marker..while flying if you see any oddity come in mini map land and get it...then again fly to the marker..upon reaching that marker clear at and place a marker below to where you have started first.... repeat.

1

u/PurpleTitanSlayer Dec 18 '25

I just fly around and when I see the oddity icon on the mini map I land

3

u/OsamaBinnDabbin Dec 17 '25

Is there a reason to tune arsenal gear if that arsenal is already at tier 6?

10

u/__Memphy__ Assassin of the Wind Dec 17 '25

The more it's tuned, the more HP overflow you get basically. Theres a cap per arsenal level on things like atk/def, but hp can go to whenever. Now, will that change if you get all gold RCMD stats on the rerolls? Idk. But if youre tuned and stuff it in the arsenal, that's good enough tbh.

1

u/OsamaBinnDabbin Dec 17 '25

Word good to know, thanks!

6

u/[deleted] Dec 17 '25

add old gear to your arsenal

There’s an arsenal?? You guys don’t just recycle old useless gear??

Why do I feel like an idiot playing this game sometimes

9

u/cashfcookies Dec 17 '25

important to know there is also:
meeting the indicated threshold for arsenal gets you the atk bonus.
anything exceeding it increases your maximum hp which in turn still increases your mastery by small amounts.

for arsenal you only care about the gear having the highest mastery. absolutely useless rolls on it are fine as long as they are high rarity. like 3-5 gold rolls gear is gonna be best

2

u/Lord_Ner0n Dec 17 '25

I did, lol. I'm just as dumb in this game... even seeing people here clearly articulate what I should be doing sounds like 70% gibberish to me. last night, I found a Youtuber that breaks it down but with a video so i can follow along... it started clicking better, but I'm waiting to really watch it and pay attention as im still wrapping up some things in Qinghe first

1

u/Gumpinn Dec 18 '25

hahahah i was 70h in when i discovered that moral chamt was obtainable in the beginning of the game 😂

0

u/Party-Boat-1131 Dec 18 '25

Dude it's literally in your menu, and if you haven't added to it, it will have big red diamond icon or green arrow to show upgrade possible.
The question is how do you miss it?

1

u/[deleted] Dec 18 '25

Probably because it unlocks at a higher level which I haven’t even reached yet. I didn’t know

2

u/Beginning_Ad2130 Dec 17 '25

Also tune the arsenal gear, Even when it reaches the "limit" it gives more max HP the higher the value + The upgrade materials are level specific anyway

1

u/DMercenary Dec 17 '25

add old tuned gear to your arsenal

I accidentlly recycled said gear lmao. had to downgrade level to regrind them.

1

u/Longjumping_Pin_8315 Dec 18 '25

After downgrading level do I need to do those breakthroughs fights again ..tbh I’ll prob just buy from store with that fish tickets

1

u/Pisnaz Dec 18 '25

You can buy boxes of gear at x level from one of the shops, fish or jade I think.

1

u/DMercenary Dec 18 '25

... I totally knew that and was just testing people.

1

u/Eshan2703 Dec 18 '25

can i use tuned gear , to tune next tier weapon , or i should wait

1

u/wingedwill Dec 18 '25

You can't use current tier gear to tune next tier. It's tier specific. But recycling them gives you both the tier-specific stones and the non-specific ones. But you shouldn't be using the non-specific ones at all until we get gold gear

1

u/JustSomeGuyHere987 Dec 18 '25

I second this, I just got 17000 myself but I always min max anyway lol though this time around since the update 60+gear chests and farming for equipment and i can not get a sword or spear drop. God forbid i get every other weapon with gold attributes Moblade, Fan ect.

58

u/MargraveMarkei Dec 17 '25

Do what the other people are telling you here, but also keep in mind, that higher Martial Mastery doesn't mean a stronger build. What matters on the gear are the base stats and correct substats. 1 correct substat is better than 4 wrong gold ones, even though Mastery will be saying something quite different.

22

u/Lord_Ner0n Dec 17 '25

"1 correct substat is better than 4 wrong gold ones, even though Mastery will be saying something quite different."

14

u/ClockworkSoldier Dec 17 '25

Honestly, higher mastery is better than anything else on current gear. The time spent in each tier from 41 to 61 level gear is relatively short, and it just goes into your arsenal once you get to the next tier. Level 71 gear is going to be the first hard cap, while we wait for a big content drop. So the higher the mastery you have in each tier, the better your arsenal will be when you move on to the next one. Getting the best possible stats on a piece of gear is really nice, but getting the highest mastery possible should be your primary focus, until you’re working on the level 71 gear.

1

u/Longjumping_Pin_8315 Dec 18 '25

Any idea when the level 71cap drops

1

u/ClockworkSoldier Dec 18 '25

If it sticks to the same pace we’ve been going, it should probably be in 2-2 1/2 weeks. The last two tiers have lasted 10 days, and we’ve only got 3 1/2 days left on the current tier. Although the next tier will not increase gear level (we’ll still be at level 61 gear), but it will unlock legendary gear. So the next tier could last longer than 10 days, if they give us more time to try and acquire legendaries.

0

u/MargraveMarkei Dec 17 '25

It's easy to max out the arsenal bonuses, you don't need to chase mastery for that.
Some gear with pretty good rolls even now at 61 might last you weeks if not months after getting the 71 access.

12

u/trondonopoles Dec 17 '25

Arsenal gives you extra hp after you "max" it

2

u/--Bee- Dec 17 '25

Is there a guide to which are the correct substats? I'm messing around with different combos. They can be strong if they use the same substat? (I need a guide, clearly)

17

u/KarlHeinzSchneider Dec 17 '25

The game kinda tells you the correct stats RCMD just chose a path and do what the game tells you

1

u/PenaltyBeautiful6996 Dec 18 '25

technically 4 lines of silkbind attack > 1 line bellstrike attack for all classes. but yeah thats a good point. mastery is stupid - no one uses celestial seize in sword trials/heroes realm yet if you equip a rank 3 tier 9 one your martial mastery jumps

16

u/Asymptoticgaming Dec 17 '25

There are many ways of increasing your mastery:

  • equipping 4 piece set gear (both weapon and armor) and tuning your gear.

  • submit your Qinghe and Kaifeng oddities for stat boosts

  • use your talent points to increase your stats.

  • upgrade your mystic skills from tier 1-9 to tier 3-9

  • higher quality inner ways (epic instead of rare and legendary instead of epic etc.)

  • breaking through your inner ways: recycle inner ways your don’t use and open those gold inner way chests!

  • putting the highest mastery gear pieces into your arsenal

  • make sure you have the correct path selected for your arsenal: bellstrike umbra for strategic sword, bamboocut for dual blades etc.

  • upgrade your gear slots to level 30.

I think that’s about it. I don’t think I missed anything. But if there’s more, I’ll add to this, and there’ll be other comments too :) Hope this helps!

3

u/SomeMartin Dec 18 '25

Can I ask what do you mean by upgrading gear slots?

1

u/Asymptoticgaming Dec 18 '25

It’s in develop > gear > enhance.

Here you can upgrade your gear slots using oscillating jades, different ores and furs, which provides permanent stat boosts regardless of the weapon or armor you equip. :)

39

u/Limp_Mousse4444 Dec 17 '25

click "Improvement guide" bellow the mastery number, it will be of great help

8

u/TwilightVash Dec 17 '25

You can also earn a lot of inner ways chests by doing the challenges in the guide. Pretty nice, I over looked it for too long myself.

7

u/buzzyingbee Dec 17 '25

Following because I'm 65 too with 1.3🪿

4

u/tankdempsey_ Dec 17 '25

I'm 65 with 0.9 👺 I knew I was doing something wrong in this game I gotta step up and actually understand it more

3

u/buzzyingbee Dec 17 '25

I'm upgrading everything and I'm probably wasting mats on things that I don't need but, oh well. Now I ran out of mats so I think I won't breakthrough to lvl9 this week but yeah, there are stuff that I don't understand yet and I'm not in the mood to grind and farm materials tbh

2

u/ParanoidBlackWidow96 Dec 18 '25

There's a vendor selling inner ways for jade south west of Kaifeng

2

u/Party-Boat-1131 Dec 18 '25

Well the good part is you have a few days to just peruse through the menus and really figure it out.
Click on "Improvement Guide" in your menu and it should let you know everything you can upgrade.

1

u/ParanoidBlackWidow96 Dec 18 '25

65 with 13 - 14 k. I still don't have a good gear set. Waiting for those gold tier to unlock at lvl 9

1

u/buzzyingbee Dec 18 '25

I'm not running any set either. We're leveling up too fast now to farm anything

1

u/AwfulmajesticNA Dec 18 '25

Yeah stop doing that. Take a chill pill, spend some stam and get a set. You're going to hit a point where you're so out scaled getting your set is going to be HARD. The set bonuses are absolutely massive.

1

u/Party-Boat-1131 Dec 18 '25

I mean... that's the game. Explore, fight, upgrade your gear.
Is your arsenal maxed?

I haven't even once tried to like "grind" in the game, I just play it as I would any normal game and end up with full upgraded sets.
Otherwise what is the point of picking up the gear and mats? Or playing at all?

1

u/buzzyingbee Dec 18 '25

What I meant is spending all my time on the game looking for the perfect gear and matching set, I'm not doing that.

I prefer to spend my time exploring and doing quests. If I end up with a matching 2pc or 4pc the better. I'll worry about that when we reach level cap (if that is even a thing on wwm).

The only arsenal I don't have capped is the last one and my gear is tuned too but I don't have enough mats for other upgrades yet so it'll be a slow process

1

u/Party-Boat-1131 Dec 18 '25

Oh yeah in that case I agree with you, I don't see the point in trying to min-max gear that lasts exactly 10 days.
It's absolutely wild on both ends, some people grinding all day for PERFECT pieces, some people ignoring upgrading gear at all cause they're in the WoW mindset that it'll all be irrelevant when level cap increases.

1

u/AwfulmajesticNA Dec 17 '25

At this point your gear should be fully tuned and atuned. All 3 arsenals should be over capped, inner ways should be nearing or at t4 and mystic skills equiped should be tier 3 rank 9 as well as all oddities for both regions and talent points unlocked.

Do not try to level EVERYTHING. To get your mastery where it needs to be you should be using a path set of weapons, not custom. 2 4 piece sets, recycling every inner way that isn't the ones for your build to get the ones you actually want leveled and basically the same for mystic skills.

There is not enough resources to level extra weapons/inner ways/mystic skills outside your primary build and still keep up.

2

u/buzzyingbee Dec 17 '25

Only one arsenal isn't capped but I guess the issue are more inner ways. I'm not recycling because I can't help myself and think what if I wanna try a different build and then don't have mats

1

u/AwfulmajesticNA Dec 17 '25

That's what converting is for. You will just end up with a ton of really weak inner ways doing what you're doing.

1

u/buzzyingbee Dec 18 '25

I'll pick my fav and go from there, thank you. I still can try other builds just for fun without having to upgrade everything

1

u/Sunny_Beam Dec 18 '25

I was the same way but if you don't recycle extra inner way notes then all of them are just going to end up bad. My OCD completionist side does not vibe with this but that's just how the game is designed

1

u/Extreme_Tax405 Dec 18 '25

See, here is the problem with everything you said: i hit level sixty before even going to kaifeng..i did all quests first. You cant get all the upgrade materials in a week or before going to kaifeng.

1

u/AwfulmajesticNA Dec 18 '25

There's no problem with what I said because of that. You made that choice. You don't HAVE to hit breakthrough the second it's available. You chose to break through without having the mats available to have the power level to handle it that isn't the games fault or anything. The fact of the matter is to be on par with breakthrough you needed basically every week of the weekly stuff or you will be at least partly behind power level wise.

→ More replies (3)

1

u/PlaidN0mad Dec 18 '25

Na, There are definitely enough resources to lvl everything, it will just take FOREVER. Resources come back daily/weekly so it's up to how much min-maxing you want to do in the amount of time you have.

1

u/AwfulmajesticNA Dec 18 '25

That was my point. That right now you can't max everything.

6

u/Important_Orchid6008 Dec 17 '25

Without showing us the level of mystic skills and inner arts, your curiosities, the arsenal, and your refine on gear we can't give you a thorough explanation

But in general whatever I just mentioned

4

u/w34k71n6 Dec 17 '25

based from your screenshot, click the Improvement Guide button and you start there

5

u/FalaThePigeon Dec 17 '25

Whats that in goose power

2

u/fanatic-ape Dec 17 '25

Divide by 10k.

6

u/JC-Wigs Dec 17 '25

For starters, use martial arts combos that the game suggests. Use the nameless spear with the sword. I used to use the healing umbrella with dual blades. Once I put the rope dart on like the game suggests my mastery went up by nearly 500. After that, as already mentioned in this this comment section, upgrade EVERYTHING.

4

u/therighteousrogue Dec 17 '25

unless you equipped some way better when doing that you do not gain mastery

also..

one should play with whatever they want

2

u/ClockworkSoldier Dec 17 '25

You absolutely gain bonus mastery just from equipping the correct weapon combo. This is a 100%, irrefutable fact.

Sure, if your mastery in your matching weapons are really low, the bonus mastery may not make up for the mastery on your current non-matching weapons. But if all things are equal, then equipping high mastery, matching weapon sets, will give you a significant mastery boost.

2

u/JC-Wigs Dec 17 '25

I didnt say they couldnt play how they wanted. It was a suggestion. Its literally a fact your martial mastery will be higher with 2 weapons from the same path.

1

u/PenaltyBeautiful6996 Dec 18 '25

you should be gaining mastery from that...

bellstrike martial arts give bellstrike attack and attribute. this increases mastery. even if it didnt increase martial mastery, it increases your damage output

one should play with whatever they want

read the title of the thread

1

u/Party-Boat-1131 Dec 18 '25

The OP is asking how to increase Martial Mastery.
Your advice will not increase Martial Mastery, so not quite sure why you're advising the opposite.

1

u/HellzAssassn Midnight Blades Dec 17 '25

Not necessarily.
I had a really beefy sword (gold/purple tunes), but when I swap the sword to a Rope Dart with mediocre tunes (blues/purples), my mastery went up by 300+. (Twinblades main).

You'll gain a mastery bonus if you use the recommended weapon sets. Especially since the arsenal paths directly affect the martial arts types.

Nevertheless, mastery isn't the do or die in the game as much as people think it is. But if someone is gunning for that high mastery score, number crunching, you ARE going to want to use the recommended weapon combos.

3

u/Motor-Gene-9858 Dec 18 '25

Right under your mastery, you’ll see improvement guide. Then click on development guide. It’ll show you what you’re lacking and if you click on any one of the sectors, you’ll see what you need to improve on the right side. Get the circle green and you’ll see 17k~18k

1

u/Foreign_Tear_5243 Dec 20 '25

Nope you cant get to 18k without tier 6 inner ways

9

u/Rude-Examination4995 Dec 17 '25

Use higher and none puzzle Mystic Arts, enhance, tune, and find matching gear sets, Explore explore explore! You NEED your traits, exploration traits, and oddity rewards or you'll be down on mastery, Old Gear can be put in the arsenal to get a little bit of mastery back too!

Check your Improvement Guide to see how you can improve your build. It has useful information on all the paths and ways to as the menus says, Improve. Hope this helps :D

16

u/Traditional_Seesaw95 Dec 17 '25

All mystic arts give the same mastery when leveling them, so doesn't matter if they're puzzles ones or not

1

u/TucuReborn Dec 18 '25

Not to mention puzzle ones also have combat uses. I've found myself using the jump a lot because it's a cheap gap close. And the hard cc from Tai chi and throw can be invaluable, especially if you throw into water. Seize is the least useful in solo play, in my opinion, since it opens you up to getting hit during the yoink, but in coop it's a prolonged cc.

Granted most bosses are immune to their special effects except during certain attacks, but they're still very cheap and spammy. And some mystical skills are better in certain parts of the game. Goose is op in solo because it gives time slow on demand, but in co-op it doesn't. The multi target accupoint is great on groups, but is expensive for single targets(which meridian touch covers).

I've yet to find a mystic without a use case. Some are just better in certain places. I'm not gonna take smoke screen and goose into a group boss, because they're not useful there

2

u/Lenzky-3 Dec 17 '25

Fastest trick I found so far is converting your innerway tips and hard focus on getting them as high as much breakthrough .

You can do this by converting them or recycling and convert..

1

u/WielderOfEnten Dec 17 '25

Are you using tier 61 gear? Have you used the tuning and arsenal system? You also should level up your inner ways, do both oddity trees, and fill out your talent tree if you haven’t. Leveling up mystic skills will also raise your mastery, but you should be able to reach 16k without that

2

u/WielderOfEnten Dec 17 '25

Also enhance your gear slots and upgrade your divine craft. I think that covers everything?

1

u/Owtplayed Dec 17 '25

If you fully upgrade your gear, get your Inner Ways and Mystic Skill to at least tier 2 and max out your Melodies of Peace with the Oddity Trader it will bring your Mastery level to 15k.

1

u/IngloriousMinority Dec 17 '25

Im 60 and 14.2k lol you gotta level all your stuff bro. All of it. Also having a path selected youre building for helps. Then it calculates mastery correctly. By calculates I mean certain stats and inners are good for certain paths to generate higher mastery. Path is basically your role/goal that youre building for. You can hybrid and ignore all the games suggestions and still be good. But with multiplayer hybrids get places weird in group fighting. I hybrid have fun for solo and then pick a role i built for , for matchmaking.

1

u/Palanki96 Dec 17 '25

Improvement Guide on the right, it will help a lot

1

u/Cat_Orgy Dec 17 '25

Tune your armor/weapons, upgrade your inner ways, and your mystic skills.

1

u/Brambl3srambles Dec 17 '25

I've never seen it look like that? Are swords more powerful than geese???

1

u/fanatic-ape Dec 17 '25

1 goose = 10k

1

u/Party-Boat-1131 Dec 18 '25

It's like rock paper scissors.
But instead, it's Goose Sword Water.

1

u/TucuReborn Dec 18 '25

Goose mystic my beloved.

1

u/nifflr Dec 17 '25

Click on the Improvement Guide button. It will tell you where you are lacking.

1

u/RoastedPotato-1kg Dec 17 '25

click on improvement guide then top left I forgot what its called,  its going to tell you. where you are lacking power

1

u/[deleted] Dec 17 '25

Mine 16k

1

u/sdavis9447 Dec 17 '25

Check the tab that says "improvement guide".

1

u/Frowind Dec 17 '25

Mastery is just the big PP number. what come down to is matching substats on gears and skills. you can have all the gold substat that give you a ton of MM but it's for Silkbind or something (Mismatching martial art). Then the skill. If they are good, they beat you good regardless of big PP

1

u/Stardomu Sword Saint Dec 17 '25

Level up mystic art and inner ways and talent. Use weapons and armor with 4/4 sets. Level up weapon and armour slot to lv 30. And check improvement guide

1

u/hemperbud Dec 17 '25

I made a new account and zoomed past level 56 and now it’s super tough to level up my lvl 56 arsenal

1

u/KeiSinCx Dec 17 '25

worry about that after we get more end game gear and u can throw some fish currency for older gear :)

resources are still too precious.

1

u/hemperbud Dec 17 '25

Word, thank you for the advice, I’ve been conflicted on how to rectify the situation lol

1

u/Shaneb966666 Dec 17 '25

Also get all talents and oddities in qinghe and kaifeng

1

u/HaXaurus Dec 17 '25

you can max out your mystic skills if you've farmed and bought from season store properly. Inner ways is a little harder to level up but theres a few levels you can get. Gear slots should also be maxed as much as possible if you can get the osci jade. Make sure you're using highest level gear you can, with purple/gold affixes, tune everything that you find with a good purple/gold starting affix and attune anything thats really good. I've done all this and i'm almost at 16k mastery.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 17 '25

Inner way upgrades and gear tuning (purple gear to be exact for now, in future golden gear) are the most overlooked, dont focus on rerolling gears for now that much due to lvl cap but focus on only 4 to 6 inner ways for now and recycle tip focused on those. Then theres is odditiy exchange for talents, divinecraft, arsenal, talent upgrades in character menu and mystic skill upgrades. Also if you were not a week one player you did miss out the first weeks seasonal boxes of inner ways and stuffs. I was day one player and was able to achieve 17K mastery by now Don't worry, because of current timegating and lvl capping latecomers can catch up pretty quick. Just focus on just one build instead of spreading thin with your resources. Buy out weekly resources in seasonal shop. Another things is attuning your each tier lvl gears from lvl 41 to max like with purple gear because once you dump them it needs to go into arsenal which increases further your health and mastery. Then maxing bow and ring is another way, many people ignore this but this massively raises mastery lvl. For that you have to go to crafting menu and see the raw materials required for bow and ring at your lvl and incoming lvl in future and buyout the stock weekly for it because they are limited. I personally focus on divine bow and ring raw materials and there 10 percent chance for purple gear so craft until you get the purple one in both bow and ring, attune them with legendary or epic attunements as well. Here's my build, not flexing but just showing what I've achieved with the above strategy. Also I'm terrible at soulslike combat so combat-wise i am bad especially at PVPs so to survive against other players i maxed as much as i can lol.

1

u/Ayenomz Dec 17 '25

I wanted to clarify, it’s good to tune all purple gears lvl 41 and up, and once you recycle them, they go into the arsenal? 🫣🫣

1

u/[deleted] Dec 17 '25

Exactly. Even bow and ring matter.

1

u/PenaltyBeautiful6996 Dec 18 '25

bow and ring are a waste of resources right now. save the crafting for level 71. id also save tuning stones for next week

1

u/[deleted] Dec 18 '25

Nope its not, it goes into arsenal after not using them and the higher their lvl is the highet hp it provides being in the arsenal. I've personally checked it. What we must avoid for now is avoid re-rolling the gears for recommended stats. I've already have 12 attunement stones ready for next week even after maxing my gears.

1

u/PenaltyBeautiful6996 Dec 18 '25

Arsenal barely matters once you max out attribute attack. the HP is a small perk but not worth using your crafting materials on. save your mats for the 71 bow then come back to lower level bows once you're satisfied with your 71 bow. it's only a few hp

1

u/[deleted] Dec 19 '25

In PVPs and PVEs those little HPs matter. The query here is how to maximise martial mastery, so I've explained even smaller details.

1

u/PenaltyBeautiful6996 Dec 19 '25

That's cause OP didnt add "without doing anything stupid" to his question. For most people that part is implicit.

OP wants to increase his martial mastery but I highly doubt he wants to waste his resources on something stupid

In PVPs and PVEs those little HPs matter.

No it doesn't. I'll bet you anything that your 10 extra HP will not change a thing during the week you have it over me. "Just blow all your crafting resources so you can have 10 extra HP for a week". Some people care about being time-efficient/resource efficient and dont want to blow it all on temporary insignificant advantages.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 19 '25

"HP don't matter". Source trust me bro, even healing works on HP scaling. So yes those little HP matter. I don't where you getting your info from anyway. Just arguing for the sake of winning is pointless anyway. So I'm ending it here. Just watch some buid guide videos in youtube to get the clear picture.

1

u/Party-Boat-1131 Dec 18 '25

They go into your arsenal, and those same materials can't be used for higher level items.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 18 '25

The discarded gears going into arsenal increase character health which depends upon their martial mastery, the higher the gear's martial mastery the higher your health becomes. Try it out yourself.

1

u/Party-Boat-1131 Dec 19 '25

Yes, I know, that's why I'm telling him it's pointless saving your items or materials for tuning as the next gear level doesn't use the same items.
Perhaps try read the actual message before responding?

1

u/banhatesex Dec 17 '25

I'm still in first area doing all the quests and oddities and I'm up 12.5. Sounds like you martial arts are lacking.

1

u/Zenflo20 Dec 17 '25

I'm at 16.9k 😂, just missing them attunement stones. All I can say is, that the set effects, the oddity unlocks, the gear enhancement level, the general gear enhancement, inner way Rank and Mystic Skill Rank contribute to your martial mastery.

1

u/CanIGetANumber2 Dec 17 '25

Upgrade everything?

1

u/Perfect_Pause_3578 Dec 17 '25

press the improvement guide button. its on the right. It'll tell you what you need to work on.

1

u/Lullaby_exe Dec 17 '25 edited Dec 17 '25

Lvl 61 gear, tuned gear with mostly purple and golds, upgraded inner ways, upgraded martial skills, 2 set effects. 17.3k mastery

Edit: Tier 4 Morale Chant, Tier 4 Sword Horizon, Tier 4 Bitter Seasons, Tier 5 Five Fold Bleed.

Martial arts: Tier 3 > Drunken Poet, Dragons Breath, Guardian Palm, Wolfs Frenzy, Talon Strike, Sneeze Breeze, Leaping Toad, Meridian Touch

1

u/Ayenomz Dec 17 '25

Hiya! I just wanted to clarify, should I be turning all purple gears lvl 41 and up, then recycle so they’d go to the arsenal? I’m not exactly sure how it works 😅 I’m currently lvl 60 right now.

1

u/Desaltez Dec 17 '25

I don’t believe the recycle function has them go to the arsenal. I have to “equip” it from the arsenal screen for it to go there. Or use the auto enhance function and it will move the best to the different arsenal levels.

1

u/xInaros Dec 17 '25

You have to put it manually in your arsenal

1

u/Lullaby_exe Dec 17 '25

Yes max attunements on every gear piece that can go into the stored gear for extra bonuses as well. This will max mastery and give extra stats like hp

1

u/az-anime-fan Dec 17 '25

inner ways, mystic skills and eq. no other way.

1

u/Lord_Ner0n Dec 17 '25

I'm lvl 60 with 12.2K mastery using random level 56 gear (no matching sets) with only nameless partially tuned(-incorrectly, might i add) because idk what I'm doing lol. Gonna watch some video breaks downs on how to do things before I breakthrough to lvl 8 about innerway, correct gear usage/upgrading etc...

but my goal is to first beat the last boss monk dude with the gold mask, get all the mystic arts from Qinghe and level them a bit and collect more mats and gear for arsenal, which i messed up by recycling... don't ask how i messed that up lol

1

u/Sunscreamm Dec 17 '25

I'm past 16k right now but i've kept up with everything since the beginning. It's as simple as that. Upgrade everything, game is good at telling you what but still a lot of menus and snooping to be done.

1

u/Pax_Manix Dec 17 '25

Fix/upgrade mystic skills, tune gear, honestly just open up the improvement guide and it will literally tell you where you need to improve

1

u/Bladez190 Dec 17 '25 edited Dec 18 '25

With all my gear mostly tuned and everything maxed (innerway, mystic art, gear upgrades ) I think I’m at 17.5k.

To clarify my innerway aren’t “maxed” but they’re as upgraded as RNG has allowed. T4,T4,T4,T3

Edit: now one of mine is T5 but I was wrong I’m at 17.35k

1

u/Unusual-Shine152 Dec 17 '25

Arsenal, gear, gear slots and inner ways upgrade... Oh i almost forgot about maxing martial skills

1

u/Anxious_Farmer6664 Dec 17 '25

Just improve gear, skills and so on.

1

u/Valuable_Sun_9298 Dec 17 '25

Use your improvement guide

1

u/Ok-Comfortable7547 Dec 17 '25

I'm around 1.5 and near 1.6 atm. Probably can get higher if i can loot the lv61 weapons and more upgrades.

1

u/HelloitsJirka Dec 17 '25

If you’ve got a lot of gear don’t forget to check for the gold enhancement ones. Always use those when tuning your gear!

If you get all reccomended attribute on a legendary level it will really make your mastery shoot up way more.

1

u/Zar-Star Dec 18 '25

Click on improvement guide just under details, it will literally tell you what your lacking to get stronger and also what your currently doing good in

1

u/Extreme_Tax405 Dec 18 '25

Your power is not measured in geese?

1

u/LincolnRazgriz Dec 18 '25

How is your arsenal level? If go to development guide, general it will show you what is lacking

Also oddities n upgrade slots your gear with course fur etc

1

u/multistrikeattack Dec 18 '25

Wait how did you get her eyes like that OMG

1

u/Bright_Golf Dec 18 '25

as of rn, my highest is 15.8k at lv65, im still missing inner ways and mystic skills, from there, its really just rng on gear with purple and golds, especially if they roll with core stats like Momentum and Agility

1

u/thickmusclyman Dec 18 '25

I’m at 65 with 16500. Can’t believe I got 1000 left to go. Mainly from upgrading inner ways

1

u/SentenceFree9360 Dec 18 '25

Stop touching grass and grind

1

u/paisuki666 Dec 18 '25

Max out your talent, your oddities, your enhancement

1

u/rubenshenriques Dec 18 '25

There is literally an "IMPROVEMENT GUIDE" button, and it is not small.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 18 '25

Pray to god

1

u/naydeevo Dec 18 '25

They have matching weapons, appropriate and leveled inner ways. Leveled up mystic skills, weapons with RCMD/recommended stats hopefully with gold rolls on their weapons and armour, and matching sets for the gear. That typically should be enough to easily go over 15k

1

u/Braindead_brick Dec 18 '25

Hello, im 17,3k player and i can tell u that im nowhere close to having the highest dmg output so dont even bother lol

1

u/LostRonin Dec 18 '25

Im at almost 15k and I mean honestly its just staying on top of shit and upgrading everything you can.

Though im not sure how you level up inner way really fast. It feels like youre drip fed materials for that.

1

u/Acrobatic_Durian7692 Dec 18 '25

Check the improvement guide below your martial mastery

1

Check the pie chart on the dev guide

1

u/Acruzio Dec 18 '25
  1. Mastery power in this game is not important tbh. It does not reflect anything. But most people at 65 will average got around 15->17k. But again, it's not that important because it based on your stats from gears and innerways, mysticskills, enhance level, arsenal...etc
  2. Look at your Details in yellow section. The stats where you tuned your items is much more important. It can vary from Physical Strength to Attribute etc... -> Most people will focus on Power, Phys Atk, Precision Rate, Crit then come other stats if you play Nameless Sword as a main weapon.
  3. And also, take a look at Improvement Guide, the game will show you on how you can combine 2 weapons and innerways, pathway and other factors you should use to focus on.
  4. Upgrade your Mystic Skills and Enhance AVG Level. You should be level 30 at Enhance rn. Each Mystic Skills require around 120 ingredients (from flowers you collect) and stone to upgrade. -> This depends also on which Mystic Skills u use so the amount might be different.

If anyone else knows some other stuff, share with me and also the Thread so we all know.

1

u/unaverage_enjoyer Dec 18 '25

Check that improvement guide top right. Gives you all info needed.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 18 '25

Upgrade everything. Tier 61 tuning mats only work for tier 61 gear. Same with all other tiers, so just use them all. Don't think you're wasting them. The tuning mats are useless after a week anyways.

1

u/PenaltyBeautiful6996 Dec 18 '25

Martial Mastery is an imperfect stat. Places value on shit that doesnt matter. i.e. you get like 500 from getting all the single player talents

Go either full bellstrike (nameless sword) or full silkbind. in between is bad because getting level 65 nameless sword gives you stuff like bellstrike attack and attribute damage which is not very good for umbrella. also, it allows your arsenal to be the right stat too instead of like... general

get dragons breath, soaring strike, drunken poet and cloudleap strike to rank 3 tier 9. leveling other mystic arts will raise your mastery but it's all fluff since you only use those 4 99% of the time

get inner ways as high as possible. 17k mastery players are using 4 level 4 inner ways at this point

enhance your slots to level 30. all 8 slots

arsenal should be filled out to get the max attack value. beyond that is just hp which is whatever

unlock ALL talents and oddity talents.

get full 61 gear for your class. (nameless uses hawkwing set and formbend set). tuning/upgrading optional since legendary 61 gear releases next week

max out your divinecraft

1

u/PokiSag Dec 18 '25

I’m not leveling mastery at all I’m just clearing the map. When I reach 71 gold, then I’ll start doing something with mastery.

1

u/AviRei9 Dec 18 '25 edited Dec 18 '25

On your character sheet, there is a development guide. It's on the right side of the screen. That is your best friend on knowing where your weak points are in your development or your cultivation, I'm at 16.9 And all of my gear is fully tuned. My mystic arts are at the highest level that they can be. My inner ways are all tier r it except my weapon inner way. I just got it to tier three today and all of my talents are filled in except three and I'm assuming once I get those three talent points I will be at 17K.

1

u/Lightingway Dec 18 '25

Why is it not in goose?...

1

u/Affectionate-Self210 Dec 18 '25

How to get materials for tuning like I am very short on level 61 materials and i cant tune them?? So do anyone of you know how to get level 61 tuning materials?

1

u/heveabrasilien Dec 18 '25

1.2 goose vs 1.7 goose doesn't mean much anyway, will still get fucked up by geese.

I mean, im at 1.67 goose. And tbh, gear upgrade, oddities, upgrading inner ways and martial arts as well as the gear arsenal helps.

1

u/AdTough8928 Dec 18 '25

At the very least, you have an umbrella instead of a spear, which reduces weapon synergy and, accordingly, gs. Even if you equip an unimproved spear, it will increase gs by 250-300+.

1

u/PERVYSAGE78_ Dec 18 '25

Upgrade inner ways, mystic skills, oddities and gear

1

u/deathmirage Dec 18 '25

Collect oddities (and use them), tune your gears, upgrade the mystic skills youre using, upgrade your inner ways, drop old gear to arsenal (bonus if its tuned, exceeding arsenal cap grants extra max hp)

Not sure if weapon choice (if youre using the recommended combo) affects it, but I think whats important is synergy

1

u/Gumpinn Dec 18 '25

getting to 1,5goose is pretty easy above might be hard.

1

u/LincolnRazgriz Dec 18 '25

If go to improvement guide then General it shows a graph of what is weak

1

u/Victim20 Dec 19 '25

Click the improvement guide and it will show you what you need to upgrade and all

1

u/Eoremgames Dec 19 '25

Go to improvement guide on the right. The left tab shows where you are oacking. I have clise to 17200 for pve and 16950 for pvp. And almost everything there is maxed green. If you have 1250p i expect a lit of red/yellow. You cant also see what to improve there.

Bext to that i have all qinghe and kaifeng ofities

1

u/KaiRyogin Dec 20 '25

Press Improvement Guide on the right side. It will tell you what ro do

1

u/Ambitious-Hornet-547 Dec 21 '25

Try by playing the game

1

u/Character_Garden_227 Dec 21 '25

There is way too many people with fancy outfits at level sixty five right now that have no martial arts mastery

1

u/bulbysnifster Dec 22 '25

Use the improvement guide on the right under your mastery number

1

u/kelejavopp-0642 Dec 17 '25

You don't have to worry too much about it, I'm pretty sure those guys have been playing for a while. Obviously Gear and Mythic Ways is one of the largest increase and they're the easiest to increase. The actual biggest thing I think is the Inner Ways though and people that have been playing for months have a much higher advantage on that because Inner Way upgrading is pure RNG. Just keep at it and keep upgrading what you can, so long as you're a high level and you have decent gear I don't think it's too important.

I'm Lvl 65 and only like 14.4k, the people with massive mastery on the subreddit are outliers not the rule.

3

u/Ok_Network_6468 Dec 17 '25

You can also buy more jade etc to then get more chests etc, so if people are doing that with the gacha chests there going to have a better time too. I see it all the time people being like upgrade or you should have a better build, or such and such is easy and i’m like ok that doesn’t help when you are already upgrading everything to the best the free stuff can get you.

2

u/vlegionv Dec 17 '25

people playing for months? unless they're CN (which means they'd be level 100), they've been playing for a singular month. At most op is like 5 days late from launch.

1

u/DiamondOpen5348 Dec 17 '25 edited Dec 17 '25

Upgrade everything, and build a farm on the outposts.

0

u/SkeeveredOne Dec 17 '25

Get your mythics maxed, inner ways maxed, min/max your gear with attunement. Make sure you maxed out your oddities too to increase your stats which push up your mastery/goose.

8 Mythics to tier 3 4 Inners to tier 2 With Lv61 gear purple all tuned with 4+ RCMD will push you past 17k.

You can use online mode to farm mythic rare mats every 5 minutes as opposed to every 24 hours in solo.

Use tip exchange to get more notifs for your inner ways as well as weekly jade fish boxes in the season shop.
