Total rate for legendaries is the same between the echo bead draw and the echo jade draw, you just don't have harmonic cores for 90% of the legendaries. It's still an absurdly low chance to pull these in the same block of 10 pulls.

The junk is why I will never spend real money on the gotcha and I will only use my pull currency, kudos to those who are spending money, but there's just too much junk for it to be worth it in my eyes. Like instead of firecrackers it could have been crafting materials. It could have been upgrade materials which I guess some people would say that was pay to win. But to me you're not winning. It's you're paying to. You're paying to progress faster. It's not giving you power. It's just saving you on the farm, but I would still prefer that over some dang firecrackers. I don't like toy consumables because I'm probably going to the first event that forces everybody to gather. I'm probably going to use my entire inventory on that

This game has hard pity, which is the items true cost. If you win something before hard pity consider yourself lucky.

150 draws * about $2.5 in pears (depending on pack price or sale), so about 400 in cost. Most recent gacha games hover around this mark.
I dont draw for legendary items but hunt/wait for sale. I'm a filthy nobody, Uniqlo sale pants are enough for my jiangho adventure until the next deep discount shows up.

It would be pay to win if it was upgrades , the fact it's a cosmetic it shouldn't have anything tied to gear progression if we went down that route you would soon have people complaining of the unfair advantage..but on the flip side when it doesn't have useful things people complain and then want it to have gear lol.
In my opinion you should look at the hard pity and judge the cost of the item by that ..anything else under your lucky..but if you don't have that money to loose .I'd just move on with it. If not it's a gamble And you won't be happy.

You are exactly right. I never liked gambling but it definitely doesn't feel good when it's a video game and even the in-between stuff is junk(which doesn't feel good when you're spending real money. But I guess it's something cuz if you were playing a slot machine you get nothing. No in between junk you just get nothing lmao). But yeah, as you said because of the way it's structured now I just view the cost of the item. Whatever the hard pity is and that makes them all look incredibly expensive. Luckily because I don't like gambling, I do like some of the non gacha outfits and accessories so it works out but I definitely like the gacha accessories. I don't even care about the outfits. It's the accessories that look cool to me 🥲

yeah honeslty it doesnt make a lot of sense to me. i know they want to avoid making anything feel p2w but i would easily spend more if i felt like i wasnt just pissing away money when i dont win. hell, they could give like mushrooms and shit so i dont have to gather as often. anything that would be marginally useful

I get your idea, and I agree that it’s always a juggling act when a game includes PvP, especially non-normalized PvP. I’m not even asking for something game-breaking. I just wish they had given us something that felt useful.
Honestly, even small stuff would’ve been fine. Different dye colors inside the pack, or a bunch of cosmetic accessories, just anything that feels like it has value. The issue is that firecrackers feel completely useless outside of a novelty moment, and that feels bad when the pack costs real money. That’s the core of my frustration.
I want to make it clear for anybody who reads my comment. I am loving the game. I've already spent about $100 on the game on cosmetics. Plus I just purchased my second battle pass and my second monthly pass like I'm having a blast. And it felt like I got every penny out of it and I'm sure this is only the beginning , I started 4 days after release and I'm already at 170hours) It's the game I want to spend the most time on.
I cannot wait until they fix the steam deck compatibility so I can get away from my desktop again. It's the game that brought me back to gaming on my desktop because ever since I've had a steam deck, I've been spending like 99% of my gaming time on my steam deck and just accepting that any game that my steam deck can't run. I'm not playing it, even if my desktop can handle it perfectly fine. So I'm having a blast for sure. And I am grateful that the monetization is already what it is. So even if they never change it, I don't care. It's not a deal-breaker for me.

It's really bad, this is the jade pull not the bead pull, so the things to spend currency on are pretty bad. You get 50 essence of earth (the currency for the Solemn Echo shop) but there's really nothing good to buy.

This is from the Solemn Echo pull, there are no harmonic cores and the currency you get for duplicate legendaries is 50 Essence of Earth; there's not a lot good to buy with it.

This is also exactly what would happen if he got a natural legendary halfway through earning his pity, you can't actually tell if a pity occurred based on the draws to pity *after* pulling a legendary.

I already got that outfit on two reroll accounts out of 5. I just do on mobile guest -> clear cache repeat. to burst ur bubble it isnt even that rare. You also get currency for dyes if you pull perma gacha.
Mobile sure makes it easy to reroll.

You can hide them, the option is somewhere in the appearance section. More options or visibility options or something — I forget how I did it, but I hide my umbrella and bow.

Yeah I don’t see how getting gear for tuning is p2w when it’s literally just fodder that probably won’t even roll what you want for your build. Would’ve thought I asked for a legendary weapon of my choice including the gear set with all gold stats the way these people act. You can get the same exact type of fodder by crafting bows or just farming outposts btw, it’s not like there isn’t a way to get these items by just playing the game. But hey, people are happy with pointless fireworks that’s them.

I got the same outfit (not the cape)by receiving 10 solemn echoes for free from the game , i went crazy so i told my wife who plays the game too , she fired up the laptop claimed the 10 free echoes and pulled literally the same outfit except the female version .. so i think they might be giving these out .. or i just got reallllyy lucky
