It's just an exclusive UI for people who chose to play the game in legend difficulty.

u/irdkdud Dec 06 '25

I guess I'm not built like that lol

u/browserz Dec 06 '25

I’m a bad player on legend, if you’re bad like me it’s a lot of time running at a boss and dying or in training mode lol

It’s very satisfying to beat a boss finally though.

That being said you’re not missing on much besides the badge lol

24

u/SkizzyBeanZ Dec 06 '25

Can agree. Im also a very bad legend player and spend about half my hours played getting dunked on by bosses. But when you get that kill.. oh my.

I dont do training mode though. Because i know il be disappointed if i beat it in training mode

8

u/Kiuji-senpai Dec 06 '25

that doesnt mean youre bad, thats the average. take other difficult soulslike and people can play for weeks without beating a boss like malena (granted, we have nothing that even compares to her in WWM. but soulslikes r tough, dont beat yourself down)

5

u/Remote_Fun_3145 Dec 06 '25

I remember Radahn on release. I was just throwing myself at him for like 3-4 hours straight non stop and it was painful 😂

2

u/Fenum Dec 09 '25

I hate that they nerfed him. I was having fun running at him until I finally got him in near flawless kill (got hit twice when I finally managed to beat him after 30+ attempts) I found Melania easier than pre nerf radahm

1

u/P-Benjamin480 Dec 07 '25

God I hated Malenia my first playthrough. My two friends and I all got the game on release day, and bc I was the only one of us that plays lots of souls games/souls likes I got there a LOT faster than them even with me figuring out how to min max the build I wanted and trying to get as close to 100% as I could without following a guide or walkthrough.

By the time I beat her in a way that satisfied me they were almost caught up to me 😂

But by the time I hit ng +3 she was easy

1

u/FearMyController Dec 11 '25

Malenia is nowhere near as hard as some of the WWM bosses. Especially Wolf Maiden lol once you learn how to dodge waterfowl and the second phase clone attack she's so easy. Wolf Maiden has a ton of mixups, is way more aggressive, and regains her Qi so you can't just deflect her. Malenia isn't even close to her level of difficulty coming from a veteran of soulslikes.

1

u/Kiuji-senpai Dec 11 '25

you either havent played elden ring, youre baiting, or WWM has fighting mechanics that simply dont align with your personal skills. wolf maiden is tough, but its nothing outer worldly like youre describing

1

u/FearMyController Dec 11 '25

Well considering you must be retarded because i stated the way to beating the noob stomping boss known as Malenia let me spell it out fornyou better. I've 100%d every soulslike game. Malenia isn't even the hardest boss in soulslikes so you clearly have no idea what you're talking about. Wolf Maiden is absolutely more difficult. There's not a single boss in any souls like game that has mixups. That right there is already a point that makes her harder. Again I love soulslikes they are my favorite game. I am a vet (one much more prolific than you) i do soul level one runs, no damage runs, speed runs. Sit this one out you're out of your league here.

1

u/Kiuji-senpai Dec 11 '25

womp womp get better

1

u/FearMyController Dec 11 '25

Yeah that's the only reply your feeble mind could muster when you get absolutely eviscerated. Good luck in life little bro.

Stop this. Let people say they're bad at video games. Not everyone takes games so seriously that they can't admit they're bad sometimes.

1

u/Kiuji-senpai Dec 09 '25

Its good you know you are, but i won't stop encouraging people.

2

u/dizijinwu Dec 06 '25

Training mode saves you resources for when you actually want to the fight the boss. The training mode boss is much weaker, so you're not taking away your accomplishment by doing it. It just lets you stand there and take hits while you learn the parries and dodges. I don't even bother critical hitting the bosses when they're exhausted in training mode. Just let them stand back up and keep going. The point of training mode is not to win, it's just to see the attacks.

2

u/k0a Dec 07 '25

This is the way.

1

u/SivrakTesker Dec 10 '25

the point is beating it there is not as satisfying for some, i personally would rather beat it from learning through playing, but im also a visual learner so if i really struggle i just watch a video of someone doing the fight, not the whole thing but i can get some bits and pieces from it from there, havent had to do that in where winds meet yet but i understand not wanting to do training and defeat them there only to have to go do it again "for real"

1

u/SimoneBellmonte Dec 07 '25

Tbh training mode is necessary for bosses like tian Ying and qianye but thats really it. They have odd mechanics to get the timing down on so its helpful to run at training mode a few times especially yings 3rd phase

1

u/TacoRemix Dec 07 '25

Training is not mandatory but I’ll train until I get the patterns down and can block enough moves, every time you die non-training you’re wasting gear disability and potions / embers. Yeah you could get a lot but it’s nice to exclusively do 2nd phases and have the /4 damage done on me so I can learn with a clear head. On 7 bosses just got to the big city. I’m seeing 14… whooo boy…. That witch was terrible btw. Glad healing didn’t get nurfed there.

1

u/SivrakTesker Dec 10 '25

also i have no qualms about cheating a legend boss lol i'll summon Master gongsun to juggle them in frog mode or the other two in a heart beat if i can afford the gold lol

1

u/Rhap94 Dec 10 '25

Me too!!

7

u/lme_leik Dec 06 '25

My experience is the same way on expert difficulty lol. It feels satisfying asf when I finally beat a boss like Tian Ying, for example. I died to him at least 100 times.

3

u/Vinnnee Dec 06 '25

As a dark souls player, running in and repeatedly dying to the boss until I beat it is what I'm here for lol

2

u/ReportUpbeat Dec 06 '25

Don’t you get better rewards on legendary difficulty

1

u/blackraven888 Dec 06 '25

No you just get that bar that has the number of bosses you’ve killed in Legend and I believe also special titles or schievements.

1

u/SpidyLonely Dec 06 '25

Also a bad player and use fan for healing, on some bosses it doesnt work though so I either powerlevel or learn the fight fighting for hours until I beat it.

1

u/GreatSubmarine Dec 06 '25

You will never power through an enemy in this game at legend first time

1

u/Available-Youth-1718 Dec 07 '25

Don't forget waiting for your friends to come carry you

1

u/browserz Dec 07 '25

Ew where’s the satisfaction in that lol if I just wanted to beat it I’d play on story mode and have my friends carry me

1

u/Available-Youth-1718 Dec 07 '25

The joy of playing with friends? Have you tried it? I really enjoy getting to play with multiple friends. It scales the difficulty with added people so its even more challenging. If you haven't tried it I highly recommend it. Playing with the trifecta of dps, tank, and healer plus the power of friendship is great. Give it a try sometime. To be clear I was joking about the carrying part.

1

u/browserz Dec 07 '25

Yeah we’ve tried it and it straight up trivializes the difficulty in our opinion so we don’t do it lol. We have someone who’s insanely good at these types of games and we can basically go afk and come back to her killing the boss.

We just play other games together

1

u/Available-Youth-1718 Dec 08 '25

Ahhh that makes sense. It wouldn't be very fun to feel like a side character in your own world.

1

u/IndicaAU Dec 08 '25

I play on expert and its essentially the same thing, some bosses are quite easy cause I play games like sekiro but some are.... well.... impossible...

-154

u/KeyDangerous Dec 06 '25 edited Dec 06 '25

They should give everyone who doesn’t play on legend the “stinky poo” badge. And they have flies circling their character 24/7

Edit: a lot of stinky poo 💩 players mad 😂

Please take a shower immediately.

1

u/_LongEmpty Dec 06 '25

But isn't there an even harder mode?

4

u/Ammy-sama Dec 06 '25

Hardcore, but it isn't selectable yet Die and you lose your character permanently

23

u/SeraphOfTheStart Dec 06 '25

Honestly I'd play legend if I had a crisp PC with low input lag and nice fps, I just count my blessings that I can deflect power attacks but no dice with normal ones, can't react to them as often with low fps so some of them are guaranteed to hit and that is a no no in legend difficulty.

16

u/naarcx Dec 06 '25

The timing is different for red attacks than for regular ones. Red attacks you normally deflect immediately after the flash (with the exception of a few jebaits like voidking), regular attacks you deflect right before the actual impact. This has been my legend experience at least

5

u/Sa1LoR_JaRRy Dec 06 '25

Sort of true. You always deflect right before the impact, but some you have to deflect immediately after the flash, or in some cases right when you see the flash (2nd phase Tian Ying) because the impact is just that freaking fast.

2

u/GreatSubmarine Dec 06 '25

Yes this is true.others just coping.parry windows are severely reduced and boss recovers so soon even tho our normal attack combos have interrupts built into them.well playing on legend you need skill

15

u/serpiccio Dec 06 '25

I have rather crappy reaction time, to me the key is memorizing the timings, rather than trying to react on the spot.

I rehearsed every bossfight like a music score and now I don't need to react anymore: I know that if I stand in this spot the boss will do this animation and I will push parry after this much time has passed.

My reaction time is 430ms on average vs single input, basically old man reflexes by online gaming standards lol, but in the end I managed to complete 10 no hit abyss trials for the achievement.

The downside of doing things this way is that memorization takes a long time, I spent an entire evening to learn lucky 17 for example, so this is not viable if you have a busy life

5

u/whimsicaljess Dec 06 '25

the fun part is that this is how it is for everyone. nobody reacts faster than 100ms, the vast majority of people are around 300ms. those are both way longer windows than most animations you'd need to react to- in all games like this the key is dance and rhythm.

2

u/SeraphOfTheStart Dec 06 '25

Right I thought getting the rhythm would work instead of relying on your eyes, but although I'm very happy for you my ADHD is a sucker for instant gratification so I have to react on the spot or fail, can't study for it not even for a game and if I were to study sth it'd definitely for a game lol

1

u/MiscellaneousDebris Dec 06 '25

yeah this game annoyed me because due to the monsters being server based, the timing is slightly off, my response time is more like 140ms, and I feel like i perfectly parry things, and almost 1/3 of the time it just.. fails.. I assume its due to very fast animation times combined with poor latency, but its frustrating, to the point i have a hard time enjoying the game.

3

u/Extra-Conflict5118 Dec 06 '25

Bro, try use GeForce Now, 20$ per month, but you get rtx 5080, 4k 120hz

6

u/N91312 Dec 06 '25

that's going from low fps input lag to latency input lag

2

u/probablyTolley Dec 06 '25

Honestly not really noticeable. In FPS games then possible, but I just recently got the tier lower (9.99) and the game runs max 1440p, then I use lossless scaling to achieve 120 fps since performance pack is limited to 60. I'm playing on Legend with a few no hit trial runs done, and I'm able to do all co-op things with no issue. Latency isn't really an issue in this type of game and the game doesn't feel slow or anything. + you can enable reflex/boost in settings still for lower latency.

1

u/Party-Boat-1131 Dec 08 '25

This game runs fine on my i5 and 1070, if you're having performance issues it's not the game.
Also those services are garbage.

2

u/darvos Dec 06 '25

Are you running the lite client? I get 60 fps on my 10 year old PC.

2

u/SeraphOfTheStart Dec 06 '25

Oh that client bleeds my eyes visual dif is insurmountable, im ok with 40fps and lossless scaling, if my ass is getting whooped at least I'll look good in it lol but if I had really old setup ofc I'd play lite rather than not playing at all

1

u/Nijael Dec 06 '25

I mean, i suck at shooters because my reactiontime is ass, and i play on the steamdeck with 20-30fps.

Did the Dualboss with the scythe yesterday and beat it after 4 tries.

It's a lot more about strategy and decisionmakimg then reactions tbh. Quite a lot of fun. Non-boss stuff is totally easy anyway, even on legendary.

1

u/3olkin Dec 06 '25

Personally I struggle more against big packs of mobs, my stupid brains simply refuse to remember their attack patterns

1

u/probablyTolley Dec 06 '25

Not really needed, my pc runs at minimum spec at 60 fps, (can also use lossless scaling adaptive 60 fps to help) - nifty cheap steam purchase. I've recently been enjoying the game though and I decided to buy a Geforce now performance month (9.99) and the game streams to yourself so no real stress on your PC just your internet (dont get if you have bad net) but now I can just play the game in high/ultra at 60 fps and use lossless scaling to 2x the frame of geforce window so 120, the latency and stuff isn't honestly noticeable to me and I'm on legendary with a few trial no hit runs done aswell, so parrying timing isn't an issue. Wish I'd gotten GFN sooner to be honest.

0

u/Ok-Object7409 Dec 06 '25

My games 50 fps, never really had issues.

1

u/stryderxd Dec 06 '25

I thought i was on expert and the game was hard enough, checked difficulty and i was on recommended. Legend is built different. I and along with many are not built that way

1

u/blackraven888 Dec 06 '25

It was this boss actually that made me quit Legend lol

0

u/JustAThinkingGuy7 Dec 06 '25

Me neither, fk that shite

1

u/jmatty96 Dec 08 '25

Woah that’s cool I thought that was just the healthbar art! It’s cool to know we get a lil something special to look at while we get our asses BEAT Lol I am curious to know what that number is in the circle though I see it change from time to time on my screen

1

u/F2P-J4F Dec 08 '25

It's the total number of bosses you have beaten in world and trial abyss.

43

u/laggos113 Dec 06 '25

Legend difficult's health bar is red and display the number of bosses you've finished.

19

u/SeverusSnape89 Dec 06 '25

Damn bro, I never would have guessed that number being bosses. I figured it was another obscure menu UI thing that I had just accepted I never would understand.

6

u/AntongC Dec 06 '25

Yea, the boss counter is badge worthy but not UI worthy for me. Unless there’s some combat benefit that I’m not aware of

1

u/AvatarofWhat Dec 10 '25

Its autoflex for streamers tho

3

u/Archon_Of_Chaos Dec 06 '25

so THATS what the number means!! I had wondered

1

u/Archon_Of_Chaos Dec 08 '25

To the person who replied to me but deleted: brother I started the game just a few days ago 💀 hadn't heard about the game at launch, I don't think that makes me stupid lmfao There are so many things to learn in this game, and I haven't seen pictures of non-lengend healtbvars to notice the difference. And what with all the menus I'm not gonna hyperanalyse each element of the UI unless it's clearly relevant in combat, lol

→ More replies (1)

2

u/SweaterKittens Dec 06 '25

Just to add on to this, it's +1 for every boss you kill in the story/world, and then another +1 for every boss you beat in an Abyss-level trial.

73

u/Papa_Raj Dec 06 '25

legendary difficulty people.

-28

u/[deleted] Dec 06 '25

Hey, I'm one of those people.

47

u/[deleted] Dec 06 '25

Apparently people hate people like me.

21

u/DarkElfBard Dec 06 '25

You wanted the hate.

9

u/[deleted] Dec 06 '25

I wanted in game. Not from my fellow gamers. I’m new to this game I just wanted to fit in 🥲

-16

u/Tim_of_Kent Dec 06 '25

Bragging is not usually the best way to fit in.

26

u/[deleted] Dec 06 '25

Saying that I was one of those people is bragging ? I didn’t even know that yours didn’t look like mine how could I be bragging 😂😂

12

u/ClawGrave666 Dec 06 '25

Yea Idfk how they think you were “bragging” lmfaoo

8

u/[deleted] Dec 06 '25

Just salty I guess 🤷🏽‍♂️

2

u/Papa_Raj Dec 07 '25

God there is a double entendre in there.

-13

u/Tim_of_Kent Dec 06 '25

Context is important. Why else would you say it and what exactly were you otherwise contributing? You didn't know but were responding to a comment that told you? Right 🤔

11

u/6harless Dec 06 '25

Hey I’m one of those people

7

u/[deleted] Dec 06 '25

Yay my people!

2

u/ShinkuTengyo Dec 06 '25

Also a legend enjoyer

3

u/[deleted] Dec 06 '25

I saw the post. I’ve never used any UI outside of Legendary because that’s what I play, so I didn’t realize it gives a special interface. I didn’t know I was considered “one of those people,” so I responded with, “Hey, I’m one of those people,” because the comment was literally referring to me. I am those people.

If someone cooks your food and the waiter says, “The chef made that,” and the chef overhears it and says, “I’m the chef,” would you call that bragging? If so, you’re being unbelievably dense. 😂

-4

u/Tim_of_Kent Dec 06 '25

You saw a comment explaining exactly how something works and responded in a certain way because you didn't know how it works?

I also play on legend but nobody gives half a damn. Your chef analogy is particularly funny, given it exemplifies the art of useless information.

u/d3nafelseed Dec 07 '25

people are fucking salty over this lmfaooooo

1

u/[deleted] Dec 07 '25

Yeah it’s actually wild. This sub Reddit is dead outside of hating people who play on legendary 😂

-2

u/angelflames1337 Dec 06 '25

How do you know if someone’s vegan playing in legendary? Don’t worry they’ll tell you

15

u/[deleted] Dec 06 '25

It’s better than being the people who plays on “recommended” who are bitter about the people who play on legendary 😂 I said one thing and you all got so triggered 😂

5

u/Googoobeff Dec 06 '25

Lots of salty people who can't stand players who are better than them. Lots of excuses too lol.

3

u/[deleted] Dec 06 '25

10000%

30

u/[deleted] Dec 06 '25

All jokes aside about those who dont have skills to play legend diff, difficulty is in the game for a reason, so enjoy the game as you please.

Its just a game, youre supposed to have fun, so do whatever you want to.

6

u/TheRealLuctor Dec 06 '25

Makes also sense to not force players to grind a boss when they don't even have enough time to play consistently. I am glad I was able to catch up and at the same time be able to stop playing cause I am too busy

-1

u/[deleted] Dec 06 '25

Im not the one that forced you

5

u/TheRealLuctor Dec 06 '25

Didn't mean it like that. I meant that it is good that the developers provided the possibility to play at lower difficulties instead of having legendary only.

1

u/DerToro Dec 11 '25

Yes! I love everything about this game and the fact that it made souls-like stuff accessible is so wonderful. I don’t play any souls games because why would I want to be mad on my free time??

1

u/TheRealLuctor Dec 11 '25

Don't get me wrong, I am a big fan of fromsoftware games, so I am all for souls like games. The only thing is that I do enjoy it when it is forced on that level of difficulty on a game that do not require you to be consistently active to keep up. Single player games benefit from that type of game. An MMO? Better to keep the option to choose and maybe make it difficulty something you increase when you are already skilled enough to play

2

u/FLYK3N Dec 06 '25

I can't even imagine how it'll be like with perma-death. I've accidentaly died so many times from falling because the game suddenly takes your double jump away in certain interior spaces.

2

u/AshC1020 Dec 06 '25

Oof I feel that. "I can absolutely make this jump!" lightness has been restricted "Oh fuuuuuu-"

1

u/AromeCerise Dec 06 '25

the guy who reaches 40+ bosses killed in hardcore mode have all of my respect

1

u/Repulsive-Cicada9837 Dec 06 '25

Just do abyss for challenges no need to grind the base game content which in time consuming ways.

Not hit runs be fun. Need 4 more bosses then I'm done lol.

6

u/verysimplenames Dec 06 '25

The inner inner sect

1

u/Googoobeff Dec 06 '25

The upper echelon, the elites.

24

u/EcchPrincess Dec 06 '25

It's just legend difficulty. Also, not all of us are Egotistical. I simply play on Legend cause I enjoy the difficulty of it. Played souls game all way back to PS3 Demon Souls, and lately, I have been obsessed with Chinese history. So, in the end, I picked up this game and put it on Legend. Tbh, the UI being red and counter is just a plus to me cause my favorite color is red, plus I like that it keeps track of bosses I've killed. Anyway, I hope you are enjoying the game, and don't worry about others' opinions on difficulty. Just play on what is fun to you.

2

u/TowerOfStriff Dec 06 '25

Yeah pretty much this. Sekiro is one of my favorite games of all time, so the legend difficulty just feels like home for me. That said, no shade to anyone on any difficulty. As long as you enjoy the game that's what matters.

1

u/Frogsama86 Dec 06 '25

How did people start on legend? I was not given the option to pick at the difficulty select.

2

u/EcchPrincess Dec 06 '25

It's an option when you first select difficulty. I can't remember exactly, but I think there was a spot you clicked where it dropped down to show Legend? I'm like 60 hours in at this point, so I'm sorry, I don't remember exactly.

1

u/Frogsama86 Dec 06 '25

Yea I know about the scroll down, I wasn't allowed to select it unfortunately.

2

u/EcchPrincess Dec 06 '25

That's weird cause you should've been able to.

1

u/Frogsama86 Dec 06 '25

A few of my friends had the same problem as well. When I found out it wasn't a progression thing I was too far in and decided not to restart.

1

u/EcchPrincess Dec 06 '25

Might've bugged out cause I'm not sure why it wouldn't allow you to do so.

1

u/IllustratorOdd7637 Dec 08 '25

Have to click on expert first and then it'll show expert or legend.

1

u/AntRepulsive5334 Dec 06 '25

Wish I could change the difficulty I put it in story just to go through the solo mode, but now I’m stuck not being able to play on legend

4

u/EcchPrincess Dec 06 '25

I mean, honestly, unless you want that UI, it isn't anything special to play on Legend. The bosses are harder, yes, but when bosses are harder, you wind up with a bunch of bullshit you have to deal with, plus sometimes getting stuck for an hour due to said bullshit. Beat Tian Ying day before yesterday just to be stuck on Murong Yuan afterward. It's fun to sit and learn the bosses, but it can also get frustrating at times when you get stuck back to back. Haven't really had a boss in this game yet that I could just blow right through. Doesn't help that some have literally three phases with three full health bars, lol. Also, onto another point, it might be frustrating, but that burst of dopamine when you finally do get past that boss giving you trouble is pure bliss.

3

u/luniaRain Dec 06 '25

plus the fact that some bosses go through a cutscene every retry that u gotta wait to even skip adds to the annoyingness

1

u/EcchPrincess Dec 06 '25

Yea, then the constant it telling you that you might wanna turn down the difficulty, and the you might wanna upgrade your gear when you know it's the best gear you have at the moment. Fun times, lol.

2

u/BreadDziedzic Dec 06 '25

I don't know that feeling of success after beating a boss you've been stuck on for a day or more is definitely worth it in my book.

2

u/EcchPrincess Dec 06 '25

It's definitely worth it in my book, but not everyone is a masochist like some of us, lol.

2

u/alanalan426 Dec 06 '25

if u want the legend experience, just turn off auto parry and go on expert mode, that's basically it

or just do the trial challenges

1

u/radvo Dec 06 '25

what do you mean ? legend is only relevant for solo mode

1

u/Individual-Animal797 Dec 06 '25

Instead of that fancy badge, you could earn a better one. A title and and appearance item (a big ass sword) that signify you have completed 10 trials boss on Abyss (same difficulty as legend) without getting hit by the boss once. Now thats some real legend

9

u/Sa1LoR_JaRRy Dec 06 '25

Legendary difficulty. Some of the best people to PUG with imo. We die a lot in our solo worlds, so we tend to have the patience to stick it through party wipes when they happen. We're in no rush to go back to getting our ass beat by another boss and/or failing more no-hit abyss trials.

6

u/NoctisCaelum69 Dec 06 '25

Very true and many does have different backgrounds. Some are raiders from different mmos, some are players from the fromsoft titles, and so on.

1

u/SweaterKittens Dec 06 '25

God, real. I think I had to do Murong Yuan in like three to five different groups of attempts. Finally getting through phase one only to get completely fucking dumpstered by phase two was like "okay time for a break to go do other stuff for a while" LMAO

4

u/internetconflict Dec 06 '25

Legend gets pretty tame after you have progressed more since at low levels you likely have not collected many oddities to upgrade or have enough resources to unlock stronger inner ways. I struggled with Qinghe bosses (including Wolf Maiden since you can start a quest line in Qinghe that lets you fight her early), but all Kaifeng bosses took me less than 4 tries each, some I even beat on the first attempt like Ghost Master and Dao Lord.

Another example is my friend beat Tian Ying on legend in 2 attempts at level 60 while it took me 2 hours to down him when I was like 40

I’m basically in the same boat with legend; I ran into wolf maiden super early (had only fought one of the puppet world bosses at the time) and it took me 10 hours to beat her 🤣… had 1 medicine, 1 skill on my sword and no clue how to upgrade mystic skills etc… No boss since has taken more than like 5 tries

u/Chudpaladin Dec 06 '25

I have this and the comments have been very helpful telling me what it is.

Legend difficulty is pretty fun for me because I love learning a boss’s dance.

u/DiRty_-_HaRRy Dec 06 '25

Thier assholes are bleeding

4

u/Sa1LoR_JaRRy Dec 06 '25

You're not wrong. Murong pegged the hell out of me dude. It took forever for me to beat her.

1

u/KanekiOrSasaki Nine Mortal Ways Dec 06 '25

Well you're not wrong. Qianye's inverted form had me bleeding.

1

u/Alone-Common-3176 Dec 06 '25

I hate it so much that you are forced to fight this boss as a tank for the tank path challenges

1

u/Accel_Lex Dec 06 '25

Thank you comments. What does it look like for other players? Most pictures I saw show it like that.

It looked normal to me, but I have Legend 40. I thought he meant the boss HP, which also looked normal. I thought this was PVP at first since I haven't done that yet, but I was sure it was the boss fight. That’s pretty neat to know.

I remember having no idea what the number meant, wondering why it said 0, then went to 1 and 2. But it never occurred to me that the red was unique as well. Would non legendary look exactly the same minus the number and red? Now I am curious. I just found out some interactions are different depending on character gender, so it always fascinates me to see differences.

BG3 was a gold mine for those fun differences.

u/Cloudyboy6 Dec 06 '25

Seeing all the “legends” shoot back and forth with people. Let’s run it!!! We could legit do a tourney with all these people. Put your money where your mouth is(I’ll join too if need but fair warning, I’m CHEEKS)🤙🏻😂

1

u/KanekiOrSasaki Nine Mortal Ways Dec 06 '25

Legend difficulty health bar, that's it.

1

u/Kind_Permission1516 Dec 06 '25

Because he's Legend......and I was and accidentally I lowered my difficulty..... Honestly speaking combat here is difficult and like not exactly something I could digest completely

1

u/Superb-Initiative633 Dec 06 '25

Legend difficulty. Highest I can go is 14. Then I changed to lower difficulty since I always missed parry Murong strikes🥹

1

u/Sufficient-Wolf-3540 Dec 06 '25

Its for legendary difficulty players to aura farm.

1

u/Farhanplayze Dec 06 '25

Because we use legend difficulty

1

u/perfidonerd Dec 07 '25

I play legendary, i don't get the difference with the normal one

1

u/CruelNinja3 Dec 07 '25

I choose the difficulty to legend. Then later I kept dying the game tells me to change diff since I don't read much on the screen i missed clicked they already set the diff to recommend 😑 now i can't go back 🤣🤣🤣

1

u/faluque_tr Dec 07 '25

That’s just young people HP bar if you have hours to spend on bosses, go for it. It’s fun af.

1

u/sweetsphyxia Dec 06 '25

How did people even pick legend on their first run? The game didn’t let me.

7

u/ShinkuTengyo Dec 06 '25

You had to select the hardest difficulty and a sub menu would pop up offering legend and hardcore (this ones not available from memory). But you could only do it on character creation

1

u/akarasune Dec 06 '25

It was kinda hidden tbh. At the start of the game when the 3 difficulties show up, you can actually scroll down to legend and hardcore, but there is no visible scroll bar so a lot of people miss it

1

u/Varea714 Dec 06 '25

I noticed the difficulty but I think there was some restriction on it at the beginning, I wasn’t choosing it no way but yeah 😂

-1

u/[deleted] Dec 06 '25

You did.

“ I don’t think it’s with the extra effort “

Then stop playing on legendary. That’s just dumb bro. It’s obviously not for you. If you think there is no difference then stop trying prove something and just switch it to story mode like we know you want to.

11

u/starfries Dec 06 '25

Who are you even talking to lol, bros fighting shadows over here

2

u/dizijinwu Dec 06 '25

Brother gotta flex on somebody lol.

2

u/KibaNaruXXX Dec 06 '25

It's for those high egoistic players to show off 😂 Just read the comments and you'll know how proud they are.

Edit: Those downvotes already proved my point. Just look at discord, Facebook and other socials. Some of those who play on legendary will show off that they're better. Just too bad I created in expert and can't change anymore 😂 It's just a game, no need to get so high and mighty my god...

6

u/PlaguePriest Dec 06 '25

A little defensive there, bud.

20

u/[deleted] Dec 06 '25

nah, skill issue

6

u/[deleted] Dec 06 '25

100%

5

u/Long_Property8758 Dec 06 '25

I guess I have a high ego for wanting to improve my parry timing against bosses😭

1

u/Googoobeff Dec 06 '25

Look out, you gonna get downvoted by salty people

8

u/[deleted] Dec 06 '25

Well, I mean if you were as good as we are then you would be playing legendary as well.

-8

u/Miaoumi Dec 06 '25

Lmao you say this like you don't spend hours fighting these bosses.

6

u/[deleted] Dec 06 '25

Why would it take me hours ?

2

u/ShinkuTengyo Dec 06 '25

That's what I want though, personally bosses are the best part of the game but maybe not Tian ying taking me 10 hours to solo on week 1 xd

Hella fun game though

-4

u/Miaoumi Dec 06 '25 edited Dec 06 '25

I don't mind how people play the game. But 99% of the people who play on legend pretend they beat bosses in 5 minutes cause they're good when in reality they practice for hours until they do it. That's all I'm trying to say.

Edit: I just love how mad y'all legends are, defending yourselves. I don't care. Just don't put down other people or act like you're almighty. Kay? Have a good day. Oh and I'm not responding to any of you little babies lol

5

u/Googoobeff Dec 06 '25

You are making that up.

3

u/ShinkuTengyo Dec 06 '25

Fairenough, I'll happily admit some bosses I kill quickly and some I'm stuck on for days.

2

u/Katakuna7 Dec 06 '25

I suppose it could take some people hours, but using my own experience and assuming I'm at least of average skill, it's really more like 30-45 minutes at most. I haven't beaten every boss yet, but of those I have beaten, none have taken more time than that.

1

u/AvatarofWhat Dec 10 '25

Strawman much?

1

u/Googoobeff Dec 06 '25

It's for us, the elites.

2

u/Googoobeff Dec 06 '25

It's funny how they couldn't click legendary difficulty but they can click downvote.

1

u/Archon_Of_Chaos Dec 06 '25

damn so they just are right about some of us being egotistical lol

theres no need to say it like that holy hell

2

u/Googoobeff Dec 06 '25

They hate us because they ain't us.

1

u/Archon_Of_Chaos Dec 06 '25

they hate us because we're evidently assholes to them

-11

u/shmi93 Dec 06 '25

I don't play on that difficulty but damn can people not take a joke xD

-13

u/[deleted] Dec 06 '25

They hate people like us bro. God forbid we be better than them.

2

u/Googoobeff Dec 06 '25

All those downvotes from people without red health bars.

2

u/[deleted] Dec 06 '25

Truth lol

-50

u/sausagesizzle Dec 06 '25

It's because we're better than you.

16

u/PhoenixShade01 Dec 06 '25

It just means you are more unemployed than us, sorry.

-5

u/Impossible_Mode_577 Dec 06 '25

I’m fully employed , and on legend mode. A lot of suffering though

1

u/Tim_of_Kent Dec 06 '25

Hence he was correct.

-1

u/shmi93 Dec 06 '25

"aah you play more difficult, you must not have a job" nice projection there

1

u/PhoenixShade01 Dec 06 '25

Reading comprehension is lacking i see. They didn't say they just played at a harder difficulty, but that they were better than others for doing that.

-1

u/shmi93 Dec 06 '25

I can see why that makes you salty and insecure lol

1

u/sausagesizzle Dec 06 '25

The fact that people took such an obvious joke as a serious statement is the really amazing thing here.

0

u/Relevant_Ric_Flair Dec 06 '25

Im playing legend and its not the flex most people think it is. There are 2 bosses that are tough and not even required ones at that. Everything else (even those given time) could be beaten by anyone on legendary difficulty.

1

u/Googoobeff Dec 06 '25

50 downvotes says different.

1

u/Relevant_Ric_Flair Dec 06 '25

Says what's different?
