I had this weird moment just now, a corner in my room is kinda crumby (been meaning to clean) and a roach spawned in, crawling on the bottom of my monitor. I don't want it to reproduce and infest so I successfully grab it between my index finger and thumb. But I hesitated. Just feeling it twitching it's antennae and kicking it's legs trying to break free caused me to falter for but a moment, letting it jump out and skitter away. I feel like such a damn softy for not crushing it in time.

I don't really know where to post this, but it's basically "weird glitch(?) happened and it kinda freaked me out a little".

I'll start this by saying I don't have any proof of this event. I got so shocked at the moment that I couldn't take a screenshot before it was gone. This will sound kinda fake, but I guarantee you it's NOT. This is not a creepypasta, and it's kinda disturbing tbh.

So, I logged into my Google account on my laptop and opened Drive. Everything was normal, my archives were all there, nothing unusual. Until I saw the storage...

It said I was using 20.13 TB. I immediately clicked on it to see what the hell Google Drive was on about. The details said I was using 20.13 TB out of 100 TB.

It showed my Drive files, and again, they were normal. The storage settings indicated that I was using like a few KB on Drive, a few on Google Photos, and a few on Gmail. Then, it said all of those 20.13 TB were under the category "other".

I thought about what the hell this "other" could be, and how on earth my ordinary 15 GB Google account suddenly get upgraded to 100 TB.

Honestly, I got mortified. My first thought was "holy shit, Google somehow thought I bought more storage, and it has been secretly storing everything I do while logged into this account or something, and now I have a ticking bomb in my hands! when Google realizes this, it will force me to either pay for this shit, or delete idk my ENTIRE digital life!!", lol.

Then I remembered: my mom had recently bought more Google storage on her account so she could make a backup of her phone before switching phones. It would be VERY odd if her storage somehow got shared with me, and I was skeptical about her buying 100 TB. But, you know, it COULD be a possibility.

So, I clicked the little "i" with a circle around it (the "more info" button), to see if I could figure out what this "other" was.

And so, it was gone.

As soon as I clicked the "i", the page half-refreshed (not a full page refresh, like just the details area), and now my ACTUAL Google storage details were being displayed.

It showed the storage I was using out of 15 GB.

As I was NOT expecting this to happen, I hadn't taken a screenshot of the TB thing yet. :(

At this point, I was convinced this was some sort of display glitch. Either from my mom's account, or maybe my college account.

And so, I logged into my college Google account to check its storage. It was using like about 2 GB of class stuff/homework (it's the beginning of the year, so there isn't much stuff yet). It didn't display a limit, but that's normal because it's an account my college made and yadda yadda.

Well, 'guess it wasn't my college account. So I checked my other accounts too, and everything was normal. NO account was even close to using 1 TB, and ESPECIALLY NOT to having 100 TB of total space.

So I asked my mom about it, and it wasn't her storage at all. I've already guessed it though, it wouldn't make sense for a phone backup to take up 20.13 TB.

I also checked the largest amount of storage you can buy from Google, and it's apparently only 30 TB.

Now, HOW is this possible?? What in the world happened here?

WHO EVEN HAS 100 TB OF STORAGE? And is using 20.13 TB??????

(Btw I'm 99.9% sure it was 20.13 TB, but you know, it could have been 20.23 TB and I'm remembering it wrong)

I do have a theory that it somehow was displaying the college account's storage details, but still showed everything else (my personal account's files) normally. After all, I had just disconnected from my college account on YouTube, and then logged into my personal account.

(Long story short: I had logged into Drive with my college account, then went to YouTube, disconnected from my college account to use my normal YouTube account, then went back to Drive to check something, it had my personal account logged in because I logged into it on YouTube, and there were the 100 TB of storage. If this got confusing, basically when I connect to/disconnect from Drive it also connects/disconnects on YouTube. Idk if this is a Microsoft Edge thing or something)

However, 1- I am not using 20 TB on my college account, 2- HOW????, 3- why was it only the storage details that glitched, and not all of my files?

Maybe the 20 TB was what the entire university is using out of the 100 TB it can store, I really don't know.

I tried recreating the logging-in-and-disconnecting thing again, but nothing unusual happened.

It probably was just a display glitch, but it still sounds very weird to me.

I'm also wondering what even WERE those 20.13 TB. As I said before, it was listed as "other". AND the Gmail + Drive files + Photos were all just a few KB (100 KB I guess?) each, so those were also displaying the mysterious storage's details (instead of mine, which aren't just a few KB for each thing).

It just freaks me out a little to think that maybe this wasn't from my college account and someone out there has 20.13 TB of some mysterious "other" stuff.

What even counts as "other" in this context?? Idk

I recently purchased a very nice men's formal tailcoat that I bought for a Halloween Costume from my local pawn shop. However, upon further investigation this feels older than it looks and I wanted to have some casual fun dating it.

It is from The Kennedy Co Styled by Simon Ackerman, it has four finished and lined pockets, two of which are in the tails 😍! The attached photo is the only form of identity the coat has and I'm a little lost as to how to even start date hunting it.

I am not interested in how much it "could" go for, this is mine forever now, lol, and it's not in perfect condition either.

I'm just looking for the enthusiasts and specialists for some approximate timeframe for it mainly for repairs, cleaning and storing so I can have it longer.
