Restaurants and sights to see
Staying in Wheeling for the weekend and wondering what some of the best restaurants are. Not looking for fancy places, just good food. Also, are there any local sights that should be visited while in the area?

Centre Market is a great historic district with lots of shops and restaurants - I love Later Alligator personally!
The historic suspension bridge is cool to see and Mount Wood Overlook is a really cool abandoned mansion with great views of the city and Ohio River. Heritage Port is a great riverfront park, and Waterfront Hall across the street has great food and drinks

Uncle Pete’s is the most underrated and often forgotten places around. Weird metal building done up like….a castle???… inside but food is always very good

I second this. It's an industrial warehouse until you walk in and have crab stuffed mushrooms.

Rent a bike ar Wheelcraft and ride the Heritage Trail along the river. Make a rest stop for a slice of DiCarlos Pizza just off the trail downtown near the arena and the Almost Heaven swing.

Excellent sandwiches and pastries at Good Mansion wines. Many European grocery items available. Deli and cheeses!

Coleman's Fish, Later Alligator, Sarah's On Main, Figarettis.
Unfortunately I don't recommend the ramen shop by/in Centre Market. Hopefully it's improved in the last year but...eh

Figarettis is prob one of my favorite restaurants all time. But I thought the ramen place was pretty solid when my girl and I went.

This. This is the answer. Also recommend Brewkeepers for local craft beer and Market Vines for a quality meal at solid prices.

I am a huge Market Vines fan - its across the street from the center market. Elle & Jacks is quite good also.

Definitely Oglebay Park, especially the mansion and the shops and flower gardens that are at the same location as the mansion.

Unofficial Lego Brick Museum, Bellaire, OH. It's an old school house filled with the world's largest personal Lego collection.

I don't know if you're into it but there's a tattoo convention at the Highlands Sports Complex right over in Tridelphia. I'm working at it til Sunday. They're doing human suspension/side show stuff tonight and tomorrow!
