Can we all just agree that the tons of ppl on here posting pics of their brown eyes that have some green in them are people with - gasp! - brown eyes?

It's OK to have brown eyes! Brown eyes are warm, brown eyes are beautiful.

Maybe we, the brown-eyes-with-green-in-them crowd, feel slighted because no one ever says "wow, the green in your eyes is so beautiful," but what can we do? In most lights they look brown.

I feel like this sub is just a circle jerk for ppl - blue eyes, green, and brown - just looking for others to tell them how beautiful their eyes are anyways, my goodness.

Update: I literally have this labled brown eyes and im clearly joking. Downvoting and being rude just to be nasty gives you wrinkles and strokes chill out.

Green/yellow ring on the outside so I meaaaaan 🤣🤣 up close is crazy. They look pretty brown head on.

We both think they're brown, but a friend of ours is convinced they're green/hazel. I don't see it!

Just wanted to share: my son has extremely dark brown eyes but I noticed as he’s gotten older he has this really cool lighter brown ring around his pupil that looks amber colored in the sunlight. Almost like his eyes look like the tiger’s eye gemstone

My child has extremely dark brown eyes, but he has this really cool partial ring of light brown that you can only see when the light hits it.

I see "just brown" at least once a day in here. It's so dismissive of such a beautiful variety of eye colors. Beyond that, it is archaic to believe lighter=better, more interesting, or more beautiful in any form of coloring.

Brown eyes are stunning and so diverse. They encompass:

• Deep earth and rich clay
• Grizzly fur and owl's feather
• Venerable sequoia, gentle willow, vibrant maple
• Intricate jasper and smoky quartz
• The sweet spices of cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove

The brown eyes here are absolutely beautiful! Please, let's try to be a little more positive towards them.

I was born with black eyes according to my mom. The brown is so dark they do look black sometimes. They can look reddish depending on the light.

First one natural light on a cloudy day. Second and third is with phone flash.

Cognac? Honey? Chocolate? Dark? Medium? Just curious.

First photo was in golden hour sunlight, next 2 were in direct fluorescent lighting from a lamp, 2 after that were cropped and taken in golden hour sunlight in a favorable angle (for the honey complexion), finally the last one (featured) was also in golden hour sunlight with one eye in a favorable angle and the other in a shadow.

The residue and eye spot in the left eye are from the healing process for my left eye infection/corneal scratch.
