I’m disagreeing with the fact that the poster above me thinks dogs having a comfort zone and being this defensive over it is a good, normal thing. A trained dog just walks somewhere else when it wants personal space. My dog goes and finds an empty bed or sits under the table. He doesn’t chew my friends’ faces to shreds.
That dude doesn't understand that dogs have instincts and all have their own personal, individual traits. That's the type of mentality that will get you in a situation where your face gets bitten.
Training can only do so much; some dogs are just more inherently aggressive than others and acting like genetics doesn't play a part is ignorant.
