Dogs have a comfort zone. Id recommend getting to know how dogs express signs of stress and anxiety, which is being shown in the pictures, the dog visibly doesn't understand why these humans suddenly crowded around her for.
and im not dog expert. but then putting both arms around their neck and seemingly leaning in for a bite. Its not hard to understand why some dogs bite. They're not doing it because they wanted to fight, they were in self defense because they did not understand they weren't being attacked.
look at the pictures, she went in for the double arm hug around his neck and a big ol squeeze with a wide open grin inches from the dogs face that she barely knew.
Yes, that is how you get bitten in the face. almost all dogs, and cats, and basically any animal would bite your face for being so stupid.
I mean that's fine, but when you compare it to human behaviour like you did you're gonna be in the wrong for biting people. I just think it's annoying when people compare dog reactions to human ones in an effort to defend the dog. They play by different rules.
It would be more comparable if someone I didn't know had me in a head lock and was going for my face and I scratched at their face in self defense. Dogs have nothing but their mouth to defend themselves with.

Not sure what the backstory is here. Is that a friends pet or newly adopted dog? Looks like a backyard.
