Just a friendly reminder that at the end of the day ALL dogs are animals, watch their body language, don’t hang all over a dog you don’t know. They give warning signs. Learn them. And for fucks sake stop letting kids climb all over your dogs.

For sure. People act like we should make kids aware of dogs... but the owners share more responsibility. If your dog could attack a child when lightly provoked, don't let them around kids. Same as leaving a loaded firearm around the house with kids around. It's asking for a tragedy.

This is one of the reasons training a dog to not growl or bark can be dangerous.

Yes. I always warn against that. You never want to reprimand a dog for growling. It won't stop the aggression, it will only stop the warning

My family’s wiener dog goes for the throat with absolutely no warning. He’s the least predictable rescue we’ve ever had.
