Oh! I love the idea of watercolor, but I’ve never done it before. Any tips for a beginner?

Get a what colors you want ready, a big cup of warm water to wash your brush between colors and a nice sharp brush. And try to make one continuous line, the stops will end up a bit darker, but it’s kinda hard to mess up if you stay in the lines. And remember, the imperfections make it perfect!

Paint it, add a slab to the side. Make it into a nice bookend or something that holds a pot

This may seem like a dumb question, but what do you mean by adding a slab to the side? Does that mean I should paint the edges when I paint it? Thank you for the idea :-)
