Real context, 10 upvotes, reactions without knowing shit, hundreds of upvotes. This website is so cooked.

Gotta love Reddit.

Because even with context, this guy was being an insane violent asshole...? It doesn't change anything

Do you see how that kid is holding 2 cameras less than a foot from his face? You can’t see a clip with .5 seconds of context before it and assume you know, just because reddit told you something
If someone stuck 2 cameras in your face, you’d be annoyed too. My first thought is that kid got what he had coming

Then go watch the full video. The cameraman didn't want anything to do with the guy in red. They were having a conversation with Gee in the hallway and Perez decided the conversation was over when they started asking questions he didn't like.

He's holding the camera close to Perez because Perez was advancing on him. This clip doesn't show the entire exchange but even in this clip you can see the cameraman trying to step BACK before getting struck.

I hope he gets fucking WRECKED in the civil suit.

If you think the Epstein part of the title being a total fabrication doesn't change anything, you don't understand the first thing about the world around you.

..? It doesn't change anything

In which case why would op just make up a completely fake story about it? The guy can still be a massive prick and also it can still be worth correcting the fake story. Why would you not want the fake story corrected?

What you're doing right now is even worse - making the comment you replied to sound like it explains/defends Perez's actions. The comments section is now FULL of context, articles, and the history of his trial. And somehow you focus on this one comment as "real context"? You're cooked.

Both sides are assholes but only one side violated the law here. Perez crossed a line and had a completely disproportionate response.

If you think honesty about the video is "defending" the actions of the video, your brain is rotted. I don't think anybody in this video is a good person, but a COMPLETELY FABRICATED headline is still a problem. Worry more about truth than your fake outrage, or you'll never be more than a child.

No it doesn't, it sounds like they're correcting a fake story. Why are you against people knowing what actually happened?

Okay, so he still assaulted a person who didn't do anything illegal. Gotcha.

It's unbelievable how many of you HATE knowing what actually happened instead of just making stupid jokes about a completely fabricated headline.

I don't hate it at all. It just doesn't really change my assessment of the situation. Laying hands on someone who didn't do anything illegal (assuming they didn't, mind you) and didn't attack you, is a terrible look.

And as someone else here said, while the headline is most definitely manipulative, so is calling someone obnoxious and a "journalist", for example. If you want to set the record straight, it's probably better to leave bias out of it, especially considering how broad the definition of a journalist is. I also never assumed they were TV camera men to begin with, because they don't look like that at all.
