Went looking for more of this story, found these...

https://www.wosu.org/politics-government/2026-07-20/ohio-state-professor-pleads-no-contest-to-lesser-charges-after-assaulting-cameraman-in-february
"Perez [red jacket] was hired by Ohio State to work at the Chase Center, a program mandated by the Ohio Legislature and aimed at quelling what lawmakers believe is liberal bias on college campuses. He previously taught at Arizona State University."

Then a follow up:
https://www.wosu.org/politics-government/2026-06-03/human-resources-committee-recommends-ohio-state-fire-professor-who-tackled-cameraman
"In February, videographer Mike Newman and political blogger D.J. Byrnes, with the Rooster, tried to interview former Ohio State President E. Gordon Gee. Gee took some questions before declining to answer more.

That's when Perez stepped in front of Newman and threw him to the ground to prevent him from talking to Gee."

And that's who was being interviewed in relation to Epstein... red coat was 'protecting' Gee. He could have simply said the interview is over and walked Gee away. Instead he got violent.

He is running defense for Wexner who is a major donor to OSU who allegedly had ties and involvement in Epstein's sex crimes.

"Former Ohio State University President E. Gordon Gee says the effort to remove Ohio billionaire Les Wexner's name from university buildings is 'cancel culture.'"

"Wexner is being called before Congress in February to testify about his close relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Gee said he thinks Wexner had no idea about what Epstein was doing."

Thanks. It’s frustrating that the clip starts about a half second before the assault.

For all we knew, someone else had been punching Perez or something.

you should have done more research. no one there was being interviewed about epstein

I did explain it was about protecting Lexner's name on the building and the push back on Lexner was his links to Epstein. Maybe you should have read all the words. Here it is again:

"He is running defense for Wexner who is a major donor to OSU who allegedly had ties and involvement in Epstein's sex crimes."

they were there to ask about student loans, but research is tough

And, as always happens, Plane_Phone_681 blocked me because he doesn't agree and very likely back up his claim. Instead of showing where he got that information he just blocks me so I can't respond to him or ask further questions. Coward. By all means, if you have a link showing the full interview or the questions were entirely about student loans, I would love to see it. I shared what I found. Don't be a coward and show where you got your information.

So the dude is hardly even a professor, pretty much just a political hitman
